Look at my history, I don't write reviews on fast food. But I have to give these people props. Drove through Sydney, Nebraska, during the craziest rain and wind storm I've ever seen. Had to get food. I'm not a DQ guy, I'm just not. But Sydney isn't a place in which one can be picky. All I know is that it was raining and blowing like mad, the people at the drive through were getting SOAKED giving us our food, and they could not have been more friendly. They had every reason to be unhappy, but they were great. All I had was a little ice cream. The others in my car had food. But this review is about the service. Really, really good. read more

Slow service despite not being busy and the workers standing around doing nothing. The food came out looking sad and tasted stale. We got two meal combos and a chili dog yet it ended up being an eye watering 21 dollars. Best part was the Blizzard. Asked for a substitution of the sundae and drink on one of the combos for a small Blizzard and all they did was add 2 dollars on the 7 dollar combo (without giving me the drink or sundae). read more

Went to DQ in Sidney tonight with my husband. We got 2 dip cones, one cherry...one blue. When the girl came to the window, she took my card and then walked over to get my cones. The large looked like the medium, except the cone was larger. So I asked. And she blandly stated it was a large. Ridiculous! I paid NINE dollars for 2 dipped ice cream cones and the look NOTHING like DQ used to require their cones to come out looking. I spoke to thr manager and she took the cone, walked away with it, and came back to tell me that it weighed what it was supposed to. Sorry but it may have "weighed" what it was supposed to...but it sure looked sad. She handed me back my now melting cones and I drove away..... This isn't the 1st time I've been very disappointed in the service and presentation from this store. I hadn't been there in 6 months due to THE SAME exact issue! We pulled in with our monster size trailer and ordered at the window and they gladly took our order. We drove all the way from Salt Lake City and we were starving. The young man working gave us options, was knowledgeable, and asked what we were in the mood for. What a sweetie!! Food was great, customer service was superior! Tried to stop here and get food during a long road trip. There was literally a sign right behind the cashier that said one of the drink options for kids meals is bottled water. I asked for that and he tried to give me a cup for water. I repeated that I wanted a bottle of water, as it said on the sign. The manager came over and told him he couldn't substitute but had to add it on. I tried to point out the sign, and she snapped at me and walked away. The cashier stood there for a bit and then finally said that he could give me the bottled water but it would charge extra. I pointed out the sign again and he just shrugged. I know it's not a lot to pay for a bottle of water, but my goodness. It's on the sign right behind the cash register. Terrible customer service, not worth your time at all. read more

On my way back from Vermont, I made my second stop at this restaurant. This time I had the Iron grilled classic club. Turkey ham bacon cheddar cheese etc. Tasty. The service was quick & very friendly. Just like my first visit. Clean floor. On my way to Vermont, I stopped in for a banana split blizzard. As good as usual, which means terrific. My family and I stopped here for some lunch. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food the manager was really rude to my mother. When we finally got our food the burgers were burned as well as the shrimp! They messed up our order and didn't give us the right sides with our order. I would not recommend this place unless you want to be here for more than an hour! read more

Husband got sick on a misty freeze and my medium hot fudge sundae was only a small size and was half liquid melted. No exaggeration. Half of it was liquid. I think they made it while two cars were ahead of us getting grill orders. I'd try a different Dairy Queen if you're on the road. The stomach ache isn't worth it. read more

Standard DQ cuisine but that said they do make a very good burger and fries and the $6 meal deal is a real value. Service was excellent and when they saw my wife with our dog at one of the outdoor patio tables they asked if they could bring a "Pup Cup" for the dog, no charge. When our dog started eating his ice cream the manager asked if she could take a picture of him for their Facebook page. They truly know how to win the hearts and minds of their customers. read more

Hubby and I have been on a quest to find a Dairy Queen that isn't filthy for the past few years. Ever since we moved to the US, clean DQ's seem to be a thing of the past. We fondly remember the DQ's of our childhood back in Canada, where they all were shiny clean and offered a lovely array of hot eats and cool treats (so the jingle goes). Alas, on our few visits to DQ's in the US, all have been disappointingly dirty and dingy and definitely a deterrent to deciding on a dairy delight. ;) But wait! Let's give the DQ in Sidney, NE a chance. We open the door, step onto the floor, and....do NOT stick to the floor. High-fives all 'round. Service is super friendly (the staff seem to LIKE being there) and our burgers are yummy, as is my blizzard. The interior is clean, the booths are nice and comfy, and the walls proudly display pictures of DQ throughout the years. This DQ has restored our faith in the DQ name. Thanks, Sidney, NE! read more

They literally just put a hot dog in a hot dog box. No bun. So if you want an extra hot dog, make sure you tell them to add a bun. read more

They have decent food that tastes fresh as well as a friendly staff. We had to wait a good while for our food and unfortunately, they made up the ice cream right away. It sat there for almost 10 minutes before it was handed over to us by which time it was a good bit melted. They were apologetic and took it back, making us a new one when we got out food finally. Overall the experience was good and the food decent. Usually place like to give you a hard time when you send something back (at least in my experience). This place was nice about it. My last visit was a cold(!) burger which I had to wait til I got home to reheat. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a DQ. Our food didn't take too too horribly long, but the people sitting next to us were wondering why we were served before them, because they ordered long before us. I also just remembered my boyfriends blizzard was incorrect at first and they had to bring out the right one. And the people next to us finally got their sundaes as we were leaving. Right before we left I went in the bathroom and there was no toilet paper whatsoever in the women's bathroom. ALL were empty. How's that possible ?! read more

I haven't been to a dq in a while. But this is one of the nicer ones. It has nice big booths to sit in. So u get that comfortable feel like at a sit down restraunt with all ur spices and ketchup/mustard/napkins on the side of ur table. But you don't get that stuff waiter service. I always stop in Sidney on my way to and from and decided to try the DQ for the first time. Literally waited in the drive through line for 45 minutes - from order box to the window. There was no explanation for why it took so long. There were 2 cars in front of me at the time of order and 3 behind me when I FINALLY got out of there. Absolutely ridiculous. read more
