The cashier just seems over life . I got my order and realized I didn't get my queso for the pretzels . I politely asked for it and she tells me it cost money. I told her it always came with it but I'm not gonna go back and forth at that point. As I'm paying for one I showed her my app confirmation and it clearly says it comes with the cheese . Now the normal thing would be to accept you messed up and just fix the error but she rather say "she don't control the app " and walk away. I left without even getting the cheese cause she went in back to get it and I really didn't wanna taste w.e extra ingredients she was about to put in it. Never again. Sad because u would assume with all the bad reviews management would or the franchise owner would try to fix it. This Dairy Queen sucks. The workers are very immature, unprofessional, and lazy. There can be nobody in line and it will still take 20 minutes for them to make a small order. The workers are always in the back messing around and laughing which you can hear through the speaker when you're ordering, which makes sense as to why it takes so long. This Dairy Queen also never has either vanilla or chocolate, how can you not have these basic flavors at an ice-cream place. Actually, the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my whole entire life, first of all we pull up and they're mean right off the bat rushing us on our order second, we get to the window. Our order is wrong. I ordered a pumpkin blizzard. Didn't even add any of the toppings on it just handed it out the window. It looked like plain ice cream second we got a plain ice cream with sprinkles on. It didn't even add the sprinkles and was mad to put it back on and gave us attitude and dirty looks and when I pulled up to the window, they're making fun of how we spoke I think you guys need to get new workers because I won't be coming here again and yes, I'm writing this in the parking lot because I don't care if you don't like your job go get a new one read more

He got let go at his soon to be 3rd shift only because they did not have the time and patience to actually help him out. Honestly, do not hire people that start their shifts in one week just to get fired because y'all can't train people properly with patience. My family of 6 went to the Dairy Queen at 22 NJ-57 Hackettstown, NJ on Saturday afternoon 8/10/24. A meal deal was advertised on TV and also on their web site. I checked before going there! Upon ordering six said meal deals we were told that they don't participate in that! If that's the case then why is it being advertised on TV and on their local website? This is a "bait and switch tactic", false advertising and is against the law! We ended up going for pizza instead. One star because ice cream. You can do the drive though or go inside, but either way you'll be waiting a half hour to get a lick. Personally, I suggest staying in the car; it will likely be cleaner. Just take a look at the color of the grout on the floor vs the wall. I think you can get something that specifically cleans grout at either Home Depot or Lowe's, both less than a mile away. And yes, the floor is as sticky as you'd expect. Better still, drive up the road to Cold Stone where you'll pay the same amount, the ice cream is better, the service is faster, and you just can't lose. I always loved Dairy Queen until I came to this one.... I went there earlier this week while driving through NJ and it detoured me way longer than it should've. It looked like it was a pretty slow day for them as they were pretty much empty, so I stopped. I ordered a blizzard and waited 25 mins for it. When I finally received it it was practically melted already. I decided to ask for help from one of the workers, Taryn. She was extremely rude and did not want to make me a new one. I was being respectful and I still received an attitude. I understand food service jobs are not easy, but if you are slow at your job and all I ask is for it to be remade I would hope the worker would do so with a smile. Unfortunately, Taryn ruined DQ for me. I walked out with my melted blizzard and tossed it in the trash. No refund or anything. Just attitude. I would not recommend this location. The blizzard was melted and they don't honor the flip upside down or free promotion. They even put a cover on it which was filled to the top. Having a horrific experience at Dairy Queen today. They are never fast, but today it took over 45 minutes to get my meal which was wrong. 3 sets of customers before they went completely irate and outright abusive. I refuse to behave that way but I am letting people know about my experience and they have permanently lost a customer. They apparently were short staffed because of call outs. The biggest issue is they did not finish with a customer before starting with others. After folks waiting that long they were never given their ice cream or drinks. They seemed to have no way to track that. They also have a massive training issue. One man who became abusive with an employee about the wait told him he was helping other customers and he should wait his turn. While nobody should be abused, a better solution would have been to pause, acknowledge the customer and finish his order. The answer the man got was perceived to be a bad attitude - it was clear the young man didn't intend that but it really was. Because I try to always maintain charitable behavior unlike the other people before me, I at least got an apology. It still ruined my Saturday afternoon and my lunch. They would have been better off shutting down for a few hours or the day if they could not accommodate customers properly. Alternatively they could have shut down the grill. read more

Went once for a malt and chicken fingers. They were out of malt. Then we had to pull up and wait for our food because it took to long. When she brought out my food they were also out of BBQ sauce. Another time I went in for the advertised mint Oreo blizzard. They were out of that. Then once my wife went for a vanilla blizzard with Reese's pieces, out of that too. Then we went back again and waited 15 minutes in the drive through. Then at the end of the 15 minute wait we were told "hold on I'll be with you in a minute" we left.
