I cannot lie, we only been in Blairstown since the first of July. We been going to this place almost everyday. The customer service is great. Liam is great he gets to know the customers and makes the ice cream just as you like it. The ice cream is amazing, well it's ice cream and ice cream is always great. You can go inside to order and sit outside with your tasty treat, or roll through the drive through and get it to go. Blairstown Dairy is in a great location and the setup is perfect. You will not go wrong with stopping in and grabbing some ice cream. I prefer the blenders and my wife loves the chocolate peanut butter. He occasionally has specialties like his campfire which was great as well. You need to just check it out. read more

Walk up and drive through dairy stand. They have delicious ice cream, and a wide selection of flavors. They also have frozen yogurt and Italian ice. Friendly service. Ample outdoor seating and plenty of parking spots. Nice country views. Highly recommend! read more

I ordered a coconut pineapple Icee, it was sooooooo sweet it was not even enjoyable and the overall taste was so artificial, it was just awful. Oh and don't expect an Icee like you would get at 7/11 or other places that sell them. It was literally crushed ice just like the one you would get from your refrigerator at home. When asked, they replied that's how they make them here. Don't call them Icee bc it's far from an Icee. They took it off the bill but didn't seem pleased. read more

The only reason this place still exists in Blairstown is because there is no other competition. They rely on cheap ice cream and shady tactics to make their products taste better. And example of this is when you order a vanilla milkshake, they pump squirts of vanilla flavoring into the cup with vanilla ice cream. I'm sorry but is your ice cream so generic and inferior that you have to use an additive? For my entire life, I've never liked the products here. The people who live here don't know any better so they come here by default and the business knows this. Please, if you love ice cream, go somewhere else. So after having a negative experience and writing a negative review about the last visit I had with blairstown dairy I decided to go back and give them another chance since I have been going there for years and this had always been one of my favorite places prior to the last incident. Today when I went back they acknowledged my review and apologized for the bad experience I had and let me know they are training new staff and are working on the issues they had in regards to the consistency of the recipes of the milkshakes they make. The milkshake was a lot better today and I am happy that they are making a point to take customers reviews into consideration and improving.I will definitely be going back for more. read more

We came here as a group of 5, and most of us were immediately overwhelmed by the options Blairstown had! We weren't expecting such a vast selection. I kept it simple and got a soft serve swirl on a cone, and it really hit the spot. Service was direct and swift, and definitely very affordable. We were able to take our ice cream to a picnic table; the tables there were pretty spaced out, which is appreciated right now, especially. All the workers had masks and gloves on. Majority of the patrons there kept respectful distance, and had masks unless they were eating their ice cream. read more

Stopped by this little shop for ice cream after visiting the Lakota Wolf Preserve. This place is about 4 miles from the wolf preserve and the camping ground. The shop is a local ice cream place offering somewhat homemade frozen treats but not much other than that. The ice cream flavor was vast but tastes less rich than grocery brand names such as Breyer's or Turkey Hill. The place looked old and not very well kept. The cashier was very nice though so kudos to that. I ordered the sea salt cookie crunch and it tastes decent, but was a bit overwhelmed with the sweetness and didn't taste much of the creaminess. The pistachio nut was below average though. It looked fluorescent and tastes like over processed ice cream with almost no nutty flavor. Overall, pretty average joint and not worth stopping by for unless you're doing to die if you don't get an ice cream cone within the next 15 minutes. read more

Stopped here with my wife and two young sons after a trip to Land of Make Believe. The ice cream was delicious and the venue cute and clean. We quickly started a friendly conversation with the owner of the establishment, Liam, and came to understand that it was very much a family business as his daughter and son were also working that day. Liam, an Irishman, has brought the old world "Quiet Man" charm to this small country town by way of good ice cream and warm service. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful shop. The ice cream is delicious and reasonably priced, but the best part has to be the staff, particularly the Irish gentleman (Liam?). I take my elderly mother through the drive through about once a week and he always remembers and has a warm greeting for her, which makes her day. Mom is not in the best of health and particularly with the current COVID situation, getting out is a treat for her. I haven;t been to this establishment in over a year. Thought I would give it another try. There is a man that I believe owns the store there. I requested two soft chocolate cones; one with chocolate dip; and the other with chocolate sprinkles.. he made two soft chocolate CUPS instead; and then tried to sell them to me by asking if I was ok with that.at the same price. ?? Excuse me..(??))... would YOU be? I would like to think my selective preferences would matter to someone who charges over $6 for two very sparsely made cones; when I can just go to Acme or another store; and get a full half-gallon of ice cream for the same price ! We should remember that if value AND service are negligible; one will certainly go elsewhere for better value and certainly more respectful service. read more

Both the hard and soft ice cream we got was great! I wonder what Superman ice cream is made from....?! Prices are reasonable, unlike some other ice cream places that have good reputations, and our server was very friendly. The signs cracked me up (there was some crazy Photoshopping that went on...) - gotta love small, local places. :) read more
