We got the 8-piece dark meat chicken only, plus a biscuit and a medium rice dressing, and it was a lot of food for two people. The chicken was super juicy with a little kick of spice, crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly inside. The biscuit was bigger than your average biscuit--soft, buttery, and really good. The rice dressing could use a little more flavor. It reminded me of Popeyes, but with its own unique touch. Definitely worth a visit!

The corn nuggets were definitely the highlight; they were really good. My Coke was a little flat, and the fried Oreos were disappointing. They honestly tasted like I was biting into paper, so they weren't worth the money. Everyone has an off day. I'm not writing them off, and I'll definitely give them another chance. Hopefully my next visit is a much better experience. The worker at the counter (can't remember her name) was friendly, respectful, and provided great customer service. They were welcoming and made the experience pleasant despite the issues with the food.

Well after walking through the door that was held open by Jade who turned out to be our server my attitude immediately changed and I kinda knew this was going to be a excellent experience. My 90 year old dad never goes anywhere without his wheelchair which can come with some challenges but Jade took the time to ensure it was not an issue here and made my dad feel comfortable before taking our drink order I had a coca-cola since I was driving and my dad ordered an ice cold Miller Lite in a bottle and a glass of water. The selections here are many but we had decided before we started driving here we both wanted boiled crabs for sure among a few other things. We both ordered a cup of Chicken and Sausage Gumbo to start served with white rice it was absolutely delicious with a dark roux and very flavorful as I expected from these parts. Then the entrées, I knew immediately I wanted the blue point boiled crabs and shrimp with potatoes and corn cooked extra spicy, even though it's messy being the crabs are boiled live and there's work to get to the delicate sweet meat it's worth the effort especially since these blue crabs were very big which made me very happy. My dad decided on the fried shrimp basket that came with fries and a side salad which made me question his choice since I know he loves crab but maybe the blue crabs was a little more work than he wanted to tackle so I ordered him a side of snow crabs which he loves and is much less of a mess, this made him raise his brow but once the food arrived he enjoyed it all not only because it was so delicious but mostly because he and I were sharing a meal that we have enjoyed all my life. The service here was exceptional I know the place wasn't busy but Jade paid extra to ensure we had the best experience and really catered to my dad making this a memorable experience that we both will never forget. This was definitely worth the drive, the food was fresh and delicious and we both left knowing we will do this again - it was a good day...

This is a locals' haunt that's cheap and cheerful, and the food has always been great. This isn't haute couture fare, but it doesn't aspire to that either. The shrimp basket with a side of mac'n'cheese probably isn't on anyone's diet-approved list, but it sure is tasty.
