Rude Drive Through Worker. Came around 8 pm yesterday requested a Hawaiian blizzard. When I get to the window cashier tries to hand me a Oreo blizzard, I let her know that this was not what I ordered. She responds "you literally ordered a Oreo blizzard" I let her know I ordered a Hawaiian blizzard to which she grabs the blizzard out of my partners hands and shuts the window. She then remakes the blizzard opens the window hands it to us without saying anything and slams it shut again. If I would have accidentally ordered a Oreo blizzard I would have happily taken it but I've been coming here for years and ordering the same thing. Horrible, Iv never been to Dairy Queen but went today. I ordered drive through, and they got my order wrong, which is fine mistakes happen. But the costumer service was horrific, I went to the window and they handed me my food. I let them know my order is wrong, and instead of fixing it, they acted shocked asked everyone why my order was put in wrong. Know this: If you arrive at the Boerne DQ at 9:20, you may, as we did, encounter a line of six or more cars in the drive-through. So we had to be patient as we waited. But patience has its rewards, and, as sure as you are going to look at photos, we got a delicious Blizzard; and the GD was happily satisfied, as well. Not a lot of ice cream choices in Boerne. Unless you want to drive a little further DQ is a good option. It is consistent and well priced. We went for a butterscotch dipped cone and cotton candy blizzard. Two treats for less than $6. Not much more to say as everyone knows DQ and what to expect. The ice cream is always a good choice. We ordered a medium cone and a blizzard, the blizzard was off tasting is all i can say. The medium cone came out the window and as I handed it to a my friend I could tell something was up, it wasn't as heavy as a small cone recently purchased at the Bandera location. This has got to be the worst DQ I have ever been to in terms of logistics of the event. Getting into & out of the store is like flying through a danger zone. I would have never embarked on that had I known what I know now. The entry of the drive through practically has tank traps on either side. For no real reason other than to try to destroy your vehicle. Then there are other barriers before you get there. Finally the lot is so destroyed with pot-holes, I thought I might be in a war zone. Ordering took forever, 3/4 of the tables were a mess, bathrooms needed severe TLC, we watched 5-8 groups of folks walk in, wait a tad and walk out. (Smart people) Food finally arrived and 3 out of 3 were made incorrectly. Paid for jalapeños, received none, asked for mayo, got mustard, cheese on 2 of the 3 burgers and nobody ordered any. Cheese tasted like it was years old. Buns all rock hard. Fries were cold/limp, no ketchup. Long lines and we had already waited 25+ minutes so no chance to have all remade. This Dairy Queen is the "fast food" restaurant I frequent most for lunch. I love their grilled chicken salad and grilled chicken sandwich. I can usually get in and out quickly, which is important on a lunch break. When the girl read back the drink order and didn't mention the no whip cream and chocolate syrup part I re-iterated it again. Secondly, you had a "Now Hiring" sign on the window and a girl standing out on the corner begging for change. Very disappointed. We bought a Reese's Blizzard ice cream cake and it had almost ZERO Reese's ice cream blizzard in it! It was almost ALL plain vanilla icecream. Their Blizzard ice cream cakes cost more than their regular ice cream cakes. The photos online show their Blizzard cakes as having the top half of the cake with Reese's Blizzard ice cream, then a middle layer of cookie crumble, and then the bottom half is vanilla ice cream. Our cake had a thin, almost non-existent, layer of Reese blizzard ice cream on top- We could not even taste any Reese Blizzard flavor. The majority of the ice cream cake was plain vanilla.
