Picked up dinner last night and was very pleased with the quality of food. The cashier (red head) was also very friendly and helpful.

Pulled into parkng lot on Sunday 11/30 at 6:30 PM and saw the pile of chicken under the lamps as I circled to teh drive thru - driest chicken I have ever had. Ordered a 3 piece with 2 breasts and a leg and couldn't eat the leg. The breasts were barely edible. Called when I got home and the phone didn't ring - just discoonected without making a sound. HIre non stoners that dont use the phrase "Fer Sure" when talking to customers and take responsibiltiy for the produt you put out. read more

I should have listened to my siblings and went to the other location. I saved 5 minutes going to this one but the food quality was a disappointment. Cashier said it would be an 8 minute wait for my order but it was 20 minutes, i was offered a refreshment so I did not mind the wait. The ice tea was delicious. Tender Tuesday 16 pcs $19.99 - with the menu not having any prices anymore, i do not know if this was a good deal because it used to be $12.99. The tenders were fresh, slightly small however they do give extra pieces to make up for the size. The rolls were not burnt like the other yelpers photos. Sweet rolls are good. Tenders was good as well, crispy. I like it 8/10 Corn Nuggets family $4.99 - disappointment, completely different than the other location, no cream at all. These corn nuggets were extra dry and oily, would not order again 4/10 Liver/Gizzard mixed 12 pcs $10.69 - They gave alot, I thought it was going to be 6 liver, 6 gizzards but it was huge. Probably about 10 pieces each. The gizzards are goooood! I really liked the Gizzards. Fresh and tasty lightly seasoned. The Liver was inedible, extreme salty you can get hypernatremia. No amount of bread or rice will mass the saltiness of these liver, what a waste. Gizzards 9/10, liver 1/10 They are cheap on the gravy. I guess they fill it up per ladle and not per container. Each of my container had about 2 inches of emptiness. Overall okay, maybe go again for tenders but not for the sides, especially not the liver here. read more

First and last time for me. Way to expensive. Ordered 10, all white meal with 2 sides and 5 roles. Got home had 2 breasts, 2 thighs and 6 wings...humm all white? Just do yourself a favor and don't stop here. I was really craving fried chicken and despite the reviews and gave it a shot. My Chicken was hot, but everything else was served cold. If you want Fried Chicken, go somewhere else. Went to the Drive Thru to order a 10 piece chicken with small order of Fries. $32!! Got home and discovered Three large large pieces and Seven Wings. The food is good but the cost is high. It is $27 for a 10 piece bucket. Better than KFC but a roast chicken from HEB is much more affordable. If you are going alone to grab lunch the individual meal is ok priced. I don't usually go in but use the drive through. The service is good. Not a typical drive through. The menu is on the wall. A person comes out to your car to personally take your order and answer your questions. Once in a while they will sell out of regular chicken and only have tenders available. read more

It's fast food chicken. $20 gets you the Tender Tuesday combo which will comfortably feed a family of four on its own. The price recently went up to $20 but still can't complain. The Tender Tuesday combo comes with chicken strips, gravy, and rolls - but no other sides. Out of like the 20 times we've had the Tender Tuesday meal, two times it was so salty it was just inedible. Usually it is all as delicious as you would expect fast food chicken to be. I've never had the problem that others have with small strips tho. I'll continue going after the Tender Tuesday combo every once in a while even with its shortcomings so long as the price doesn't increase anymore. read more

So just recently moved here, decided to try Bush's Chicken. Immediately confused with the ordering process...if you haven't been you'll see. However we proceeded to try and order my husband had a question about the menu...he was quickly met with a grimace and groan by the server, he apologized for asking a question...the man is too kind...the server stated she didn't mean to be rude, but that's just her voice...Um ok sweetie good to know! We completed our order: Chicken tenders, extra rolls, gravy, mac and cheese, Dr Pepper and unsweetened tea. Um...no not ever again...at least not for us. It rates two stars because the assistant manager did her best to fix our issues and give us a new order. However thishappened 1. The server was extremely rude 2. Overcooked shoe leather. I ordered it from Door DDash. It arrived in the expected time. I ordered the gizzards meal and a tenders meal both with pepper poppers add on. They come with a roll and I ordered some kind of chicken biscuit with one of them. I planned on having leftovers for lunch the next day. I couldn't eat any of it that night so I had to go out for lunch Instead. The gizzards were so overcooked that they were inedible. The hardest piece of anything I have ever eaten. I haven't had these since I was a kid and mom made them but these had no flavor and were literally pieces of work boots. The chicken tender were also overcooked. I am not using the term overcooked like some chef who has his eggs just beyond fluffy. I mean cooked to Effing death and then heatlamped until no moisture is left and they remind you of the spongebob movie where him and Patrick are so crispy and ready to die. The pepper poppers (most likely frozen) could not even be bitten through. I have never ever had this happen even from Arby's. This is the lowest bar I have ever had and doubt it gets lower. The chicken biscuit was the softest thing of the whole two boxes. It had NO salt at all making it just yucky to put in your mouth. Same breading as everything else so you get the picture. Both boxes came with gravy. Like gravy out of a can. No real flavor and very flat. I have gotten far better from the hotel continental breakfast bar. I had some salsa left over from another restaurant and I tried to dunk the "tenders" in it.......flavor improved, texture did not. I threw everything away and learned a lesson. The service was beyond slow. I sat and waited for more than 10 minutes, just to get my card back and my food in the drive-through and I was the front car. I waited five additional minutes before then to even be acknowledged. When I got my food they had messed up over half my order And I still had except it because I was on my lunch break knowing that I cut into over half my lunch, so I had to start my food down and this business had the general manager take my order and it still got messed up. read more

Like a fool, I've been to this Boerne Bush's franchise five times. No more. First, one never know if they are open or if the employees are just hiding behind the counter with locked doors as a prank? Twice I waited an eon in the drive thru during their weekday stated lunch hours just to realize that the place was vacant. Once I went to walk in during weekday lunch hours to discover the doors locked and dark inside. Twice I successfully walked in and they were open, the service was friendly and the ice tea wonderful. The chicken and fries? Not so much. Chicken literally dripping with grease. Fries soggy and limp. This indicates to me that they are frying in oil that's not hot enough. Bush's is my go-to chicken place, but this particular location is not living up to Bush's good reputation. Another problem with customer service is the times I walked into this Bush's the staff couldn't have been over 16 years old. No adult supervision in sight anywhere. Why does it take so long to get food? Been here 5 times and it takes an average of 25 minutes at the drive through each time. These kids can't seem to keep up and when they finally get to you to order they act like it's a huge inconvenience that you're asking for food. We where hungry for fried chicken and decided to try Busch's in Boerne instead of driving into SA for Popeyes. Glad we did, the chicken is so much fresher and virtually oil free. We got the 15 pc mixed meal comes with 2 large sides and rolls, and a gallon of tea. Sides we got where coleslaw and fries. Coleslaw was great tasting very creamy the fries are ok, I hate limpy fries with no crunch. The tea, omg was it good ;yes; this is TEA just pure good going down. The chicken is fresh, juicy, with the batter seasoned just right so when you take a bite you get all the flavors with crunch factor. It is the best I've ever eaten, except for my Mothers. Worst chicken strips in town. Got a chicken strip combo, green beans, 3 jalapeños and gravy. Chicken strips are super small and tough as jerky. Didn't know you could cut chicken that thin. I guess that's what gross profit looks like in chicken strip form. Thought the gravy may soften the chicken jerky. Nope. And it had no flavor. But it was better than the green beans. Went to bush's chicken at 8:45pm on Saturday night. Inside closed due to staff shortage(sign said) but 4 workers inside. Waited over 20 minutes for 4 orders at drive thru but no other customers In line. Chicken tenders were tough and chewy like jerky, livers and gizzards were old and should have been thrown away! Only thing fresh was okra. Have eaten here many times but this was worse experience ever. Total bill was $ 41.00 and most of food was thrown away. Not sure if we will eat there again. read more
