What-an-Experience If you're looking for a place where the food is slow to arrive and sometimes cold when it should be hot, the service is slow to nonexistent, and the manager's professional wardrobe could double as a "before" photo for a reality show makeover, then look no further than this particular Whataburger. Upon arrival, I was eventually greeted by a worker after waiting for about two minutes. While that sounds like no time at all, when waiting is an eternity. I finally placed my order for a regular number 14 but instead of mayo I wanted buffalo sauce. Now what is a 14 you ask? Let me tell you it is a plain chicken sandwich combo. Not a burger but chicken and a number 14 not a sandwich but a number 14 combo. The server took my order and asked if I wanted the buffalo sauce on my burger to which I said no because I am ordering a 14 chicken combo. Then I was asked if I wanted to make the combo a combo. Enter the wait and the longer wait and then my food was delivered straight to my table by a most unhelpful person who just dropped of my food and asked "want any ketchup?" Before I could answer he was walking away so I guess no? But wait - it gets better. A fellow customer, understandably upset about receiving a cold sandwich (again, they should be *hot*), asked for the manager. Enter the manager - not with a sense of urgency, professionalism, or even a basic "sorry" for the inconvenience. No, he arrived in filthy clothes and the kind of attitude that said, "Why are you bothering me on my break?" The look on his face was like he had better places to be, like napping on a couch or watching paint dry. Honestly, I felt bad for the other customer who just wanted a warm sandwich. But apparently, asking for a decent meal and a little decency in service is just too much to expect. I'll be taking my food cravings elsewhere. Somewhere with food that's at least lukewarm and a manager who knows how to dress and act like they care. The one positive out of this experience is that I had an unexpected visitor join me for dinner. Do better Boerne Whataburger.... Please do better and please take care of the bugs. I prefer to sometimes eat alone. read more

The food was good, the service was far short of what I expected from a Whataburger. I ordered a #4, and was asked if I wanted any Ketchup. I was told that the limit was 2 for my order, I asked how much cost the additional ketchup would be, and was told "this is our policy". I asked how much again to "get what I wanted " and was given the additional ketchup with a heavy dose of admonishment. I have visited 3 Whataburger locations in recent days, something of a negative trend seems to be emerging. I hope not, their food is good, but tastes better when I am given the option to pay for and get what I want, and if ketchup is now a menu item, let me buy some without feeling judged. read more

Since we're from the northeast, we hadn't yet had occasion to partake of the Whataburger so prevalent in Texas. I discovered nothing for me to eat but fries, which were tasty and so was the ketchup. Decided to come in before work, on a Friday night, i placed my order around 10:40 PM and did not receive my order until around 11:10 PM. When my order was finally out, the guy delivering the ordered didn't even call my name out, he just placed it in a rack in the front for pick up. Had i not asked the name of that order I probably would've had to wait another 15 min. And yes there was a rush and a lot of people but, i ordered chicken strips? Does that really take 30 mins to prepare? Im sure all their food is reheated so im not sure why there was a delay in the order. These people have no sense of urgency. Very poor customer service from that one guy delivering the finished orders. Cashier seemed like he was trying his best at grabbing new orders from people walking in and was also delivering food. Unfortunately this is one of the only places that is open late so people that need to eat something late will have to suffer through their lack of urgency for people. ordered food for dine in, they gave us our table number. after a few minutes they called our number so raised our hand. They gave our food to two men who opened it and realizing it wasn't theirs just set it down by the garbage. i went to the register and the girl said, Oh i gave that out. I said yes you did and pointed to the men and our food. They didn't apologize, offer to remake it, nothing. They finally called a manager who reluctantly gave me back my money. Slowest whataburger in Texas. I've been to a lot of different ones in a lot of different cities & this is an accurate statement. Nestled right off of the highway in little Boerne, with one of the smallest populations compared to nearby cities (San Antonio) and still slow. No matter how many times I go, they get my order wrong every time & the sandwiches are greasy with cold fries. They need new management or a manger who knows how to ensure fast, accurate service. It's "fast food" not "take your time when you have 90 people on staff, 88 talking & 2 working & get your meal whenever food." On the positive side, super friendly staff. Ok so maybe we r newbies here .... however we tried Whataburger for first time yesterday.... expecting typical fast food burger Holy burger! Not your normal arch burger and the Kings at all. I had a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onion and thousand island dressing plus all the veggies. It was Huge and fresh and had real beef not the impossible which should be imposter. The meal cane with large potion if fries and best ever spicy ketchup and massive drink which o had sweet tea. It was still warm needed lots of ice. They delivered to table with a tray of sauces Wow! At 11 am the place was full and ppl parking in overflow next door. Great service Military Friendly and Guaranteed or they will fix. How can you go wrong plus prices were so reasonable. We ate at this Whataburger yesterday. It was the most disgusting meal! We ordered two Whataburgers with cheese and jalapeños on Texas toast and two fries and two Dr Peppers. The burgers were dry, not juicy like they usually are. I think each of us maybe had 3 slices of jalapeños on our burgers apiece. The Dr. Peppers had so much carbonation in them that you couldn't even tell they were Dr. Peppers. The fries were the best part of the meal, but mine were all small! We've eaten at this Whataburger before Covid and never had any complaints. Unfortunately, we probably won't go back for awhile, if ever. I couldn't even eat the whole meal. The drinks were so bad we threw them out as well as part of our burgers. Absolutely disgusting inside the restaurant, flies ALL OVER the inside, bugs on the lids for the drinks, and the floors are gross. They obviously don't clean the inside and to be honest, if I would have seen how filthy this place was before I ordered, I wouldn't have. Drive thru takes forever and then it's wrong. They honestly deserve no rating. I just moved here and this is the WORST Whataburger I have ever been to. I have been here a couple of times and they barely get my order right. I always go in the drive thru for mobil orders and they made it such a big deal that I was even in the drive thru and made me come inside and my order still wasn't ready. Most of the workers are rude and don't care about their customers. I don't know what the manager is doing go run this restaurant but they need to step it up. read more

Went after the movie this morning about 1 am. Very quite time of night, not many souls out for a burger, right, wrong -the place was busy, I'm talken drive thru to inside counter.. We creep our way thru the drive thru, I order a burger with a large shake (split it w/wife} and a crispy fried chicken sandwich for my wife. OMG after 3 repeats we agree she's got it right. Not sure why there burgers are so favorable and so messy but good. Wife's sandwich was good and our shake was thick and cold and gone quickly between the two of us. These burgers are so satisfying, pretty giant, and really tasty! I don't know if all locations are this accommodating, but when I asked if they had a protien style burger (no bun) the said they had large leaves of lettuce they could wrap my burger in. She even went into the kitchen to make sure they got my order right. I also appreciate that their kids meals come with a cookie or fruit snack, instead of mass producing plastic toys that just end up in a landfill! Dr Pepper shake is so delicious! Imagine a root beer float, but with Dr Pepper. If you're a Pepper, definitely try one! Restrooms are nice and clean here, too. If a restaurant does not have a clean restroom that the customers DO see, what does the kitchen look like, that the customers do NOT see? read more

We decided to go by Whataburger, we really shouldn't have wasted our time and money as we were extremely disappointed. They missed our sides, out of three kids meals only one had its cookie, the fries were cold and hard and the burgers were cold. We live in town and won't be back to this location. read more

Not as pictured nor described on website Ordered two Avocado Bacon burgers. Neither had any more than maybe a teaspoon's worth of avocado total smeared very thinly on the two combined. Had to take the burgers apart to even see if there was any avocado on them at all. And the bacon was undercooked, no where near "crispy" as advertised. Don't expect to get what their website pictures or describes as an "Avocado Bacon Burger," or you'll be sorely disappointed. read more
