The staff was friendly when we first arrived, which we appreciated, but our server checked on us constantly about every few minutes even while we were actively trying to eat. It felt a bit overwhelming and made it hard to enjoy the meal, even as mediocre as it was. The ambience was also underwhelming, especially since the lagoon on the back patio was empty, which took away from the overall experience. So many places are not upholding the good ole, "make good food, make return customers" and Gators unfortunately is one of them. If you don't make consistently good food, expect to lose customers.
