Within an hour of me calling they were delivered to my cousin who lives in LaGrange. She could not stop raving about everything in particular the chicken salad sandwich and the pasta salad. Kudos to them!! Thank you for all your telephonic help! Made the unfortunate task somewhat very smooth! I've ordered many salads from them when I visit family and it's a very casual and family oriented cafe/deli!

This location is conveniently located downtown and across from the courthouse. The perfect location. The staff offered wonderful southern hospitality. Sarah greeted us upon arrival and provided recommendations on menu items. My mother was very undecided. Sarah recommended the Queens panini and I ordered the Queens Chicken salad and a tomato bisque. Everything was excellent. I loved how spacious this restaurant is. The library was a nice touch as well.

Everything you could possibly hope for in a diner in a small Southern city (or whatever size you…read moremight think is most appropriate for Kinston -- it's sort of in the grey area of magnitude). The food is excellent, the service is kind and attentive (but not annoyingly so). The kitchen is visible from some angles, and you can really get a feel for the work and care that's being put into your breakfast. The biscuits are good, too (even though the other old breakfast spot in Kinston is more biscuit-centric). Eggs were perfect. The atmosphere is so soothing in its friendliness, and the other customers so endearing, that you won't want to leave. But, eventually, you'll probably have to leave. The only problems are the early closing hours (particularly on Saturdays) -- otherwise I'd be here a lot more often.

I have not had the pleasure of eating my way through their menu, since tonight was only my second trip. But I will say that each time I've gotten ice cream from here it's been really good. My husband tried the "Heath Bar Blast" and said it was better than what Dairy Queen makes. If you're looking for a ceiling-to-floor list of frozen treats that drives you insane when trying to make a decision, keep driving; I'm sure you'll find a Dairy Queen or something of the sort 30 minutes east on 70. This place is more of a mom-n-pop shop, which is a pleasant reminder to seasonal travelers that "The small town of Kinston is here!" Some amenities: several patio tables with umbrellas, a couple of cafe tables and chairs inside, and the best part....a drive thru! My only gripe is that it's cash only. I'm surprised to find that this place wasn't "on the map" yet. Glad I could change that :-)
