She…read morediagnosed my condition THOROUGHLY (it is rare), got me better in days ... and back to full health in a couple weeks ... and continues to help empower me to live and thrive as my body changes. She is also WAY more personable than a typical "in and out in 15 minutes" doctor in today's modern medical system. I have great doctors at Cedars - and she eclipses them ALL ... literally BY MILES AND MILES AND MILES. No comparison!! NONE. I am a 60+ yo woman with excellent health and insurance - but I suddenly had a "downstairs" issue - and no Cedars or UCLA Gyn's were available for two months!!! In "desperation" - I came to Yelp and found Dr. Perlow. I had really not heard of the concept of "concierge" medicine ... but had to see someone immediately. I signed up for her service and as promised by her office staff - she got me in "the next day". The NEXT DAY. Going to see her is FAR more extensive and personal than the "usual" doctor. She gave me a comprehensive "head to toe" exam. Since she is a specialist in many areas beyond OBGYN - she has the experience and knowledge to be able to diagnose and treat special conditions like mine - AND she actually spent time with me to get to know my situation. She has excellent demeanor with her patients, understands a woman's body and hormones and gives each patient the time and respect that they deserve. She was wonderful about having my partner accompany me during a diagnostic procedure in her office as well. For those of you seeing her due to having babies - never fear that this is the only time you can have a doctor this good ... you can see her the rest of your life AND SHE IS SO worth every penny. My partner actually said not to post a review so we can keep her all to ourselves - as she will soon be a new Dr. Perlow patient too! The annual charge for a concierge doctor is pricey - not going to belittle that fact - but I am prioritizing her annual fee into my budget because I feel she is just THAT good and I want to be able to reach my doctor directly (if needed) at a moments notice. You can divide up the annual charge quarterly or semi-annually to make it easier to handle. I feel blessed to have found her - and thanks to her - got treated easily and early for a rare condition that could have developed into cancer. Cost of that? Priceless. And PS - the negative reviews here??? Read them closely ... they all have to do with HOW BUSY she "was" and how difficult it "was" to get in to see her BEFORE she became a concierge doctor - SINCE SHE WAS (is) SO popular!!!! There "IS" a reason why she was / is so popular that she can now charge an annual fee - because she is the BEST, most caring and personal doctor you will ever have - at any life stage you are in.

I will forever be grateful for the care and compassion he showed me throughout my pregnancy and the delivery of my beautiful daughter. Having spent years overseeing the operations of medical practices and surgical centers, I've worked closely with countless physicians and surgeons. I know firsthand what exceptional patient care looks like, and I can genuinely say that I have rarely encountered a physician quite like Dr. Ben-Yehuda. His dedication, compassion, and personal commitment to his patients are truly remarkable. I was actually referred to him by another physician whose own children Dr. Ben-Yehuda had delivered. He shared a story about how Dr. Ben-Yehuda once drove nearly three hours to be there for his wife's delivery and told me, "If you trust me, then trust Dr. Ben-Yehuda." Coming from another physician, that recommendation spoke volumes. After my own experience, I completely understand why. From my very first appointment, he was incredibly personable, attentive, and thorough. He never rushed a visit, genuinely listened to my concerns, and took the time to explain everything. His office is beautiful, and his staff is just as wonderful, always welcoming, professional, and kind. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I was induced due to mild preeclampsia and spent several long, emotional days in the hospital. I was exhausted, scared, and beginning to doubt whether I could deliver naturally. At one point, I was ready to ask for a C-section just to be done. What I will never forget is how Dr. Ben-Yehuda showed up for me. Even when he wasn't on call, he came to the hospital to check on me, sat with me, answered my questions, and made himself available by phone. When I was overwhelmed, he patiently explained my options and helped me feel confident in my decisions. He was there for hours before my delivery, not just the final few minutes, reassuring and supporting me every step of the way. With his incredible care and guidance, I was able to deliver my beautiful, healthy daughter vaginally, something I had started to believe wasn't possible. Working in healthcare, I understand how demanding a physician's schedule can be, which makes his dedication even more meaningful. He went far beyond what was expected, and I will never forget that. Dr. Ben-Yehuda, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for me and my daughter. You made one of the most overwhelming experiences of my life into something I will always look back on with gratitude. I couldn't have asked for a better physician to bring my little girl into this world. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

He took the time to sit beside me, listen carefully, and perform his own thorough ultrasound. He even came to see me on Shabbat which meant so much to me. One thing he said has stayed with me ever since "never trust a doctor who doesn't actually examine you". His willingness to personally evaluate me, rather than relying solely on previous imaging or opinions, made me feel heard, cared for, and taken seriously. Although he wasn't my primary OB and only became involved because of my pregnancy complication, I'm incredibly grateful he was part of my care. His compassion, thoroughness, and dedication left a lasting impression on me. If I ever experience complications in a future pregnancy, I would not hesitate to seek his care again. For example, while taking down my medical history, she asked "are you healthy?" and I said yes. Later I mentioned that I have been on levothyroxine for 10 years for Hashimoto's. She passive agressively told me in a snarky tone, "When someone asks if you have any medical conditions, you need to mention that." However, she had NOT asked me if I had any medical conditions -- she asked me if I was HEALTHY, and I was indeed because my hypothyroidism is being appropriately managed by an endocrinologist. I did not appreciate her acting as though I am an idiot when I was a STEM major at a top university that Taaly frankly would not have been accepted to. In addition to her poor bedside manner, I was highly dissatisfied with her medical care. When I asked her to put me on birth control for acne, she simply handed me a pack of pills and began to walk out. "Wait!" I exclaimed. "Is this the best one for acne? Can you explain to me why?" She dismissively replied "all birth control is good for acne" and left the room. This is the reason I have come back to share a review today: I struggled with worsening acne for years after that visit, only to be told by a dermatologist this week that the birth control I had been prescribed by the brilliant Taaly was androgenic and actually can WORSEN acne. If you are looking to be treated with respect and receive high quality medical care, I would not go here.
