Food: 3.0/5.0 Service: 3.5/5.0 Value: 3.0/5.0 Decor: 3.5/5.0 Overall: 3.0/5.0 In the area for some lunch and found the incredibly high ratings this spot got so decided to give it a try. The prices are high-ish and the food was frankly mediocre so not sure what all the five star reviews are about (over breaded langoustine starter, ribeye was over marinated though doneness was proper). The service was pretty good for Argentina so put that in the win column.

This was our last meal in Buenos Aires and it was definitely the best for last! We got the recommendation from two ladies who we met in Patagonia. They said it was awesome food and mostly all locals. We went around 9pm and it was beginning to get busy. The space is packed with tables and you really cozy up to whomever is next to you. The server was so friendly. We were speaking Spanish, as best as we could, and he was very exuberant and encouraging. The interior is decorated with modern and pop art. I commented on a Lichtenstein esque work on the wall. We ordered a bottle of Malbec and it was helpful that the server suggested a moderately priced one that had great quality. They served bread and this wonderful compound butter with garlic and green onion. We got the lomo papa and the ojo de bife. Both cuts of meat were amazing. Cooked medium, nice sear, had time to rest so no excessive juice was coming out. Mine had a great creamy sauce that tied it all in. The rib eye was topped with salsa for a super fresh taste. And we savored every bite! For dessert, we got a volcano dulce de leche cake, which could have used a ramekin, instead of a cup with a handle. It came with ice cream and berries on the side. It was sweet and mixing hot and cold was fun! What made this place so great was the feeling like you were really in the culture. You did not hear English and everyone was drinking and laughing and eating. We hugged the server when we left, really a fitting last memory of dining in Buenos Aires.

Do yourself a favor, eat here. The staff is incredible and the food is terrific. Chefs like this are rare in the USA, talent and charm.

A must visit when in Buenos Aires! It's a small restaurant, that's a block away from the San Martin park, with a fun bar vibe. The service was spectacular in that they were very attentive but not over bearing. The server also provided great suggestions for your taste buds and then accommodated to my silly food allergies. I ordered the pasta and it was like I'm eating in Florence, simple satisfying deliciousness. The great part about this place is that their food is simple but the best quality and taste; something I truly appreciate. The other staffs were sincere, welcoming, and you feel like you let having lunch at a friends place. I will definitely come back here on my next trip.

My hubby and I had lunch at Dada in a hot day after cycling for hours, we ordered fresh juices but if we weren't so exhausted and dehydrated, we would have ordered some of their drinks that looked pretty good to us! I ordered two appetizers instead of a main ( polenta with mushrooms and sprinkled parmesan on top the orther one was a very thin crust, called filo, stuffed with goat cheese, rocket salad, onions confit and reduced balsamic sauce on top) my husband ordered a meat dish, filet mignon with potatoes tart that was raw in the middle and not pleasant, think, raw potatoes, hmmm, not nice at all! I wish they had put less reduced balsamic vinegar on my dish, because the onions confit was pretty sweet already and when I had a mouthful of onions and salad with that sauce was just too sweet. I would come back though.. to try their drinks and other dishes!

Honestly I don't remember what the plates were called but let me tell you something, I still dream about it. It was so delicious! The sauce complimented the meat perfectly. We were upset we couldn't go back for a second time before we left the city. We totally recommend coming here for dinner.

We had a super Thanksgiving Day dinner here - no turkey. This is an informal, small bar / restaurant. The food is good and the waiters are friendly and efficient. I had filet mignon and my wife had a "special" fried , stuffed pasta. Both dishes beat the usual Thanksgiving turkey. We had a bottle of the "Animal" Malbec - It was 178peso and I recommend it.

The place is packed and its early.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Best food I've had in Buenos Aires! Let me say I don't eat meat, we had a fabulous polenta and mushroom appetizer and then I had a pumpkin ravioli that was delicious! Good cocktails and wine and to finish the meal a little Limoncello. Too bad I had no room for dessert because the menu sounded fabulous. The place is small so make a reservation. Atmosphere had a nice local feel. Service was good and out waitress was the cutest!

Just a little bit of wine

Very lively spot. Small but fun. Tigress behind the bar. Good wines and lots of shareable type plates. Excellent Pisco Sours...

We were in Buenos Aires for a few days prior to our Antartica Trip and asked our concierge at the Sofitel Hotel where we could go for a true Buenas Aires Steak experience. Without any delay he said that we must try Las Lilas. A simple ride over and beautiful location at the site of their redone area along the riverside. Much like every other city is doing. Restaurants. apartments, shops and lots of young people enjoying themselves. We walked inside this beautiful Steakhouse and elected to sit outside where we could enjoy the beautiful view and atmosphere in lovely warm weather. Let me be frank.... Walking into a beautiful Michelin restaurant is pretty much the same around the world. You walk in with a smile and high expectations. Right here in the beginning I will say that the team and service was impeccable from the beginning. Flawless in my opinion. They came over in introduced themselves while bringing us some water, cheesy bread and taking our drink order Appetizers: Three styles of tomatoes. Selection of cheeses from their very complete collection. Main items: 16oz PIcahna steak (shared) Fried Potatoes (shared) Of course the wine was Malbec which paired so perfectly with all the amazing food. I am not going to go through each item other than saying everything was 'over the top' delicious. My friend said to me that once you've had Buenas Aires Beef you'll never forget the amazing flavor. Even through my wife likes her meat more on the well side, it retained the tenderness and unbelievable flavor. There is definitely a reason that a place like this become a Michelin Restaurant. Cabaña Las Lilas is flawless and judging from the look on the faces of the other diners around us.... They thought so too. Please see the pictures I added. Many people shared as the portions are very generous. KUDOS to the team at Cabaña Las Lilas

While this place has been here since 1962, the first time I came was in 1993. I love it here because it is a classic, old-school restaurant, between the decor, the waiters and the grill as you walk in. The service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple of years, but I find that if you connect with your waiter when you finally get him to your table, he will check on you more often. They have a great wine list as well. The steaks are some of the best I have had, and I love that they bring your steak on a steel plate over a charcoal fire- do not let them take the grill- I love putting the fat on there to render away and then ladle it over my steak- so much better than butter! The fries are to die for, as is the Morcilla- so good and creamy- if you like that! I am usually too full for dessert, but I recently had their ice cream- so good and creamy!

We started off with a basket of warm house bread, and it came with several different types, but by far my favorite was the focaccia, which was topped with cheese and herbs and had a lightly salty flavor! All the breads went nicely with the ramekin of sauce on the side, which our waiter described as homemade "mayonnaise." Next, we had the Silo Pampeano salad, made of quinoa, roasted almont, goat cheese, arugula pesto, and fresh arugula. The salad was nothing fancy, but dressed with a little olive oil and vinegar, made for a really refreshing yet hearty dish. Finally, we tried the Milanga Pampeana, which was a thinly-pounded slice of deer meat, which was then breaded and fried, served over fried slices of sweet potato and a side of Mendozan tomatican, which was a mixture of egg, tomatoes, onions, and peppers cooked in a small iron skillet. While the deer meat had a nice gamey flavor, parts of it were a bit tough, and there was way too much greasy breading, given how thin the slice of meat was! However, it was tasty nevertheless, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try more of the menu. The standout of this restaurant to me, however, was the service--there was only one waiter manning the entire restaurant, but he was so kind, attentive, friendly, and helpful! Great experience, and great value!

Service: when servers are wanting to serve you but refrained from it and have to ask the Manager if ok to do so, that's bad management so we don't blame the servers for leaving us waiting for our one and only server to help us. Server was surprised because we tip more than their 10% standard (again, not their fault the service wasn't good enough, we saw him while waiting our turn, he was hustling several tables alone). Manager seemed busy, she stood near our table but never asked us if we were taken care of or not, nobody picked up our pile of plates near the border of our table ready to go and two different servers asked her if they could help us but she preferred to call our server who had his hands full and turned to see her to listen to her while putting a hard to watch fake smile ... the poor guy! We just really wanted to pay and leave. Ambiance: servers seemed overwhelmed, we didn't get the teamwork feeling like in most places. Price: we paid in cash so with the current exchange rate this was cheap but by local standards we could've spent the same amount or less somewhere else and have a better result than this no doubt. I really hope that if you're reading this and still decided to come that you have better luck than we did. We heard from a handful of people we asked recommending this place so I didn't read any of the reviews. Lesson learned!
