Best bbq in Anniston hands down! When I walked in I was greeted by everyone. My waitress was very very good and has been there for years she told us. I got the ribs with homemade onion rings and Mac and cheese. Those ribs where the best I have ever had! My girlfriend got the smoked wings. This place has always missed the mark. I haven't had it in years, since I was a student at JSU. Was passing through Anniston and decided to try it once more. I can't understand how it's still open. I ordered a bbq chicken sandwich and received plain chicken without sauce on a bed of lettuce and tomato. I added the pickles to make me feel better. Pissed!! I hate this place!! Rip off! read more

This place was our stop by during our road trip. Cute little city of Aniston. Place is new, very clean and our order to go was 10min wait. On the menu is smoked and bbq pork and chicken,plenty of sides too. They didn't disappoint at all. We took 10 pcs smoked bbq wings with mild sauce and baked potato. Baked beans and Mac cheese. Everything was tasty. Hostess was very pleasant and we had a very nice conversation about city and our trip. Wings are homemade and flavorful. Yes, it is on our map to do again! read more

We kind of ended up here because every place else was closed today BUT we weren't disappointed. The waitress was nice and checked on us a couple of times. The food came out quickly and was hot. Their sweet potato casserole and cheddar muffins are VERY, VERY good. I had the pulled pork plate and the meat was tender and smoky. Their BBQ sauce they brought out on the side to add as much or little as you'd like. It is a traditional BBQ sauce (not spicy or sweet..) The coleslaw was not too tart or too sweet but was a little on the bland side for flavor in my opinion. The mac and cheese was average. The sliced turkey was good and flavorful as well. I was first in line today, I actually got there at 1030. When they opened. I ordered pulled pork sandwich my barbecue on the side with a sweet tea and ordered my husbands smoked burger with fries and a coke .oh a side of cole slaw, they didn't even read my order back . She didn't even say HEY HOW ARE YALL , I said where is my coke oh she didn't ring you up for one . My meal already 20bucks. I asked for Mayo and ketchup packs .of course they couldn't even have those in my bag. It jus makes me so mad how people aren't friendly, can't even read back what you ordered!!! Has inflation hit Dad's BBQ? The take out order of 1/2 rack of ribs and two sides with area came to $22.53. Now, I'm an southern man that likes his ribs. Even smoked a few hundred racks in my lifetime. So, when the sign read 1/2 Rack, you figure it's going to be more than 4 bones. Well, not at Dad's. He must buy very short racks if he thinks a 1/2 is four bones. I think I got boned by Dads tonight. Maybe that's their regular 1/2 rack. If so, I ain't going to be a regular customer. Usually dads is pretty good and consistent. Ordered Brunswick stew and that usually comes with a piece or two of cornbread. Here lately the cornbread has just been sad and dejected. It's crunchy and basically the equivalent of thin crust pizza trying to be passed off as regular crust. Normally don't complain but this is the second time I've gotten thin horrible cornbread. Hope this is just a fluke and not the way they are operating now. read more

Good barbecue joint. Super friendly staff and good food. The pulled pork wasn't anything to write home about, but the wings were pretty stinkin spectacular. Dad's appears to be a local chain. There are several around this area and I heard of a new location under construction presently. This location is a small newer building. It appeared clean. I was greeted immediately upon entering and invited to choose my own seating. There were maybe 4 open tables out of a dozen or more with 6 or more cars in the drive thru around 12:00. My server came over promptly and made recommendations per my request. I decided on the smoked wing plate with Mac and cheese and onion rings. I ordered the "glaze" on the side. I'm very glad she asked as it was very sweet and not to my liking so it could have ruined a rather good meal. The wings were fantastic. They were smoked wing sections that were then fried crisp. They had a crunchy exterior with a soft smokey interior. The plate came with 5 I could have eaten 5x that many! They were exceptional! I would have liked a buffalo sauce or hot sauce but it wasn't 100% necessary. The Mac and cheese was good. The onion rings were home made! Thick fresh onion slices that retained a little texture and slight crunch. I bit the ring and the onion didn't pull out. That's the test of a good onion ring in my book. They were lightly battered then dredged in a cracker meal and fried crisp. They were the second best item on my plate. The rings are served with a spicy ranch dipping sauce which I used for my wings and rings in lieu of the prepackaged Kens Ranch served with the wings. In addition to my meal they served some sweet little mini cheese muffins I didn't care for but lots of people love. Similar to the ones at Jim N Nicks. Good friendly service. Somewhat reasonably priced. 10 and change for my lunch plus tip isn't bad. It's not particularly a bargain for 5 wing sections and a couple sides either. I would go back for the wings and rings for sure. read more

If I could give 0 stars I Would! Hands down the worst place I have ever been to in my 19 years. The meat wasn't washed it literally smelled like shit! I almost threw up just smelling it! The banna pudding smelled spoiled, Mac n cheese did also. And not to mention the fucking WING was attached to the chicken!!! And our meat was uncooked to the point of pink n red all around. But the drinks were go tho. And guess how much I paid 28 fucking dollars which is a lot for a person feeding 2 people n on a fixed income. The only reason I camed here was because it was next to my doctors office and thank God I didn't partake because not even Grace before my meal could have saved me surviving that hospital stay!
