I always found his staff friendly and helpful, especially when I had a couple urgent issues over the years - they always fit me in very quickly. I had a proof of how Dr Igoe treats his customers when my husband had an emergency: even though he is NOT a patient, just a spouse of one, Dr came to the office just to see him ON HIS DAY OFF! What more could one ask for? I also appreciate his very dry sense of humor!

I went to him the first time and he gave me a script. I took my script to Costco because they have a great price. I waited for the script and I wore them for a week to get adjusted but was still having a hard time seeing. I went back to Costco and they said that was the script given. I almost got in a car accident. So I went back to Dr. Igoe and he said he accidentally gave me the wrong script. He jokingly said " I think you were just lying" He wrote a note to Costco and said he gave me the wrong script. I was patiently waiting for another pair of glasses. I got them and I was so upset I couldn't see out of them. I was upset while at Costco and the girl asked to see my old glasses. She said I must have gotten the wrong script again. My old glasses and the new script are way off. They said that eyes don't change that much. I sent Dr. Igoe's office all the paper work and tried to talk to the staff. All they said was they were going to give me my records as requested. She was rude on the phone when I tried to ask questions. Dr. Igoe has yet to call me to help. I no longer would want to go to them. Very rude. I foster Veterans in my home. Each time I have running around to do I have to pay for a caregiver to come to the home. The gas I have to use running back and forth. The money out of pocket for the glasses my insurance doesn't cover. The money for the co-pays for his office. The aggravation Myself and Costco has to deal with and he doesn't even have the nerve to call me or talk to me when I called the office. I have all the paper work. Now I have to start all over again. It's very frustrating because I trusted going here. Now my mom is scared to go there and now we have to find another doctor for her. She's 80 years old and is upset also. I highly recommend doing your homework before going here. This was a horrible experience and I'm still having to deal with this. Given the amount of time and energy that I put forth, I'm not looking for compensation; I just hope this doesn't happen to other patients.

I went to see Dr Hashmi at the recommendation of my optometrist because of a potential serious eye…read moreissue. I spent 25 years in the optical industry so I know a good doctor when I meet one. The staff was not very friendly when I went to check in at the desk, I was made to wait 15 minutes, which for an ophthalmologist office that should be expected. But the technician that took me back for the pretesting was cold, impersonal, and with some of the testing that he did I did not feel very comfortable with the procedures that he used. There is a specialized test called a visual field that needs to be done for the type of issue that I was going in for. It is a specialized machine, he did this lame unprofessional type of test with his finger. The type that your physician does when they are doing a yearly physical on you just to check how your eyes react. When I specifically asked him if they were putting me in the machine to test me he said that he was not going to do a standard visual field test, he said they do not find it that's necessary. It did not give me a very good feeling at that point. When Dr Hashmi came in she flew in like she was in a rush, she introduced herself, when I told her that I was in the field and that she could be blunt with me and explain everything in normal terms and not have to explain it as though I was person did not know anything about the human eye or anything in that industry, she ignored it. When the technician initially did what is called a Goldman tonometry test which checks for glaucoma or rather pressures in the eye that could show up a possible diagnosis of glaucoma, he came up with a high number, when the doctor did the exact same test she came up with a number that was six points lower. The time between the two tests was 10 to 15 minutes. Her result was absolutely nowhere near what both the initial result from my optometrist was and from what the technician got. She had a six-point different result. With glaucoma you do not have a six-point drop in a 15 minute period from the previous test. The doctor spent approximately 7 minutes with me. I did not feel comfortable with her diagnosis when she stated that I was fine and didn't need to worry about anything. At that point I decided that I was going to go for a second opinion, the next practice that I went to was concise, thorough, and the doctor spent almost an hour with me versus 7 minutes. I do not in any way shape or form recommend this office. I also found out after the fact from someone who has worked with this practice that they appear to be "on the shady side". I honestly wish that I had heard that prior to going to this particular practice. I never would have gone.

Lynn dealt with my vision plan provider and the lab they use to have the lense correction made, all with no hassle to me and covered by my vision plan. I was very happy and relieved to have things made right so quickly, especially in light of the fact that my prescription was obtained elsewhere. 5 stars for the doc, less a couple for the waiting…read more I've seen Dr. Springer twice in the last year. He is a good guy and seems like a competent, on-top-of-it doctor. I feel like he listens to me and conveys critical information to me in a respectful and clear way. He's been good about communicating with my other doctors who need test results. However, for the love of pete I do not think you should have to spend two hours in a doctor's office to undergo routine exams. One hour, sure. I have gone through this twice now but I haven't figured out what the deal is -- the first time I was told weekend holdouts had called in on Monday morning and had gotten fit in, causing the delay. But it was the same situation on a Wednesday. So, by all means, go see Dr. Springer.... if you have a lot of free time. Maybe the Lake Street office is more streamlined, or making an early morning appointment would help.

My family is well taken care of at Mueller Eyecare. I was so lucky to find Dr. Muller 5 years ago…read morewhen my 5 year old daughter needed a kindergarten eye exam. We have been going here ever since. We have four people in glasses and/or contacts in my family. Dr. Mueller is very skilled at his job and takes much pride in his work. I trust him with my family and know that he is carefully examining our eye health and keeping records that he can see longitudinal health. He has the most advanced technology in his office. He is up front and honest about his costs and will work with your family. He has prescribed me daily contacts that were more affordable than the weekly contacts I used to get. Ironically, before I went to Dr. Mueller I was a patient at the renowned Wheaton Eye Clinic post lasik eye surgery. Wheaton Eye Clinic told me I was not a candidate for contacts post lasik and that I should go the drugstore to buy some reading glasses. Dr. Mueller took the time with me to actually TRY a contact on my eye to see if it would fit. It was perfect and I am forever grateful. We also have worked very closely with Brittany, the office manager over the years. She is excellent about getting us in, helping find the right glasses, ordering our contacts, calling us when they come in and also taking care of anything that may happen to our glasses. One of our daughters glasses got a cracked arm and Brittany contacted the manufacturer and got us a new pair within a week. We didn't have to pay anything. I am very pleased with the COMPREHENSIVE service that we get at Mueller Eyecare and I really hope that Dr. Mueller will stay in practice for a long time so that we can continue to get top notch eyecare.

He treated my mother for cataracts and glaucoma for all her years and she could still see great at almost 100. He recently performed cataract surgery for me on both eyes which went uneventful and without complications. My vision is now perfect after living with really bad nearsightedness since I was 11. And for any other eye conditions, this a doc who has seen it all and knows how to treat it. Everyone else in the office is great as well, Dr. Wennerberg, the technicians and office support staff. You will deal with them all during your visit and they are all terrific, making your doctor visit go as smooth as possible. (I have dealt with bad office staff of doctors and that has caused life complications I don't need.) Wait times have always been short as well, never more than 5-10 minutes. Note that Dr. Glavin does not do the lasik eye surgery. I had been thinking about it for a while and wisely decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Glavin first. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering lasik get an INDEPENDENT, unbiased evaluation and opinion from an ophthalmologist first. I was VERY glad I did and for me it worked out for the better. You should be getting your eyes checked regularly anyway.
