We went back and they heated and adjusted the arms of the glasses to turn them in/make them tighter, but the glasses were still too loose. The staff was patient with him as he went in to get his eye photo taken, as it took him a long time to stop blinking and moving. The staff even helps you pick out eyeglasses if you want help. They are not pushy or try to sell you anything; they let you alone if you do not want their help. They really are relaxed and happy to serve you whenever you are ready. I am happy my family has found a great office and one we trust.

She said that was my responsibility. She said she had done all that she could do. I question her about what she just said. This place has my highest recommendation when it comes to optometry and eye care. Most importantly, Dr. Azarro always have the most latest technology and exams for your eye health to detect cataract, glaucoma and such. I don't want to spare none when it comes to we health and especially for my family, so I trust this place enough to them here for their eye exams. Besides that the staff, including Vito who always welcomes us and make us feel like family when we visit, they also have a GREAT selection of modern and highly aesthetic pleasing frames. I've been wearing contacts for 30 years; but Dr. Luke Neuenfeldt suggested this "better" brand, ha! Now my vision is blurry - the new contacts stink & so does this practice. Stay clear!

I was looking for a practice that uses advanced technology (has optomap retinal scanning) and a good selection of frames, and isn't run by old people afraid of technology. Enter Dr. Franceschini's practice. I was so glad I found them. Easy to book an appointment as a new patient back when I found this office in 2016. I was super pregnant at the time so wanted to get my new glasses before the baby was due, and his folks were great about working with the lab to get them done and to me before baby got here. When I came in for this year's eye exam, I was pleasantly (read: extremely) suprised and happy to see that the office had moved to an electronic lens system for the eye exam. Meaning, Dr. Franceschini switches between "1" and "2" with a cool remote-like thing. It means he's less in your face (not that it was an issue) and you can compare the exam letters more easily. I love the embracing of technology. Moving along to Dr. Franceschini's staff - they are a friendly, amazing, helpful group. Gina is my technician and she's been great in helping me find frames, order frames, debate frames...I seriously think she's amazing. She also helped me with my contact fittings this year. In an era where customer service seems to be dead, Dr. Franceschini's office and Oakbrook Optical seriously take great care of their patients/customers. I can't imagine going anywhere else to have my eyes taken care of. Seriously - great service, advanced eyecare technology, great people. That's my takehome message. However, my experience with the staff, particularly Collette, was disappointing. After my exam, I worked with Collette to try on frames for my low prescription. I found a pair I liked but decided to hold off until I felt better and could return with a second opinion. Collette made a subtle remark under her breath about hoping the frames would still be there, which struck me as unnecessary. Two days later, she called to ask if I was coming back for the frames. When I explained that I was still deciding and had requested a copy of my prescription, her tone noticeably shifted. She sounded curt and dismissive, and told me getting my prescription wasn't her department, even though the front desk is only steps away. When I later called back for an update, she answered again and was just as dismissive. I didn't feel confident my request would be followed through, and asked to speak with someone else. Her response made it clear that helping me was a burden. Ultimately, I had to make a third contact and visit the office in person to get my prescription. Even then, it wasn't signed by the doctor, and no one, including Collette, acknowledged the confusion or offered an apology. I've worked in customer service and wouldn't speak to any customer the way I was spoken to. I expected more from an office with such strong reviews and designer branding. Unfortunately, due to the unprofessional behavior I experienced, I won't be returning.

I went to him the first time and he gave me a script. I took my script to Costco because they have a great price. I waited for the script and I wore them for a week to get adjusted but was still having a hard time seeing. I went back to Costco and they said that was the script given. I almost got in a car accident. So I went back to Dr. Igoe and he said he accidentally gave me the wrong script. He jokingly said " I think you were just lying" He wrote a note to Costco and said he gave me the wrong script. I was patiently waiting for another pair of glasses. I got them and I was so upset I couldn't see out of them. I was upset while at Costco and the girl asked to see my old glasses. She said I must have gotten the wrong script again. My old glasses and the new script are way off. They said that eyes don't change that much. I sent Dr. Igoe's office all the paper work and tried to talk to the staff. All they said was they were going to give me my records as requested. She was rude on the phone when I tried to ask questions. Dr. Igoe has yet to call me to help. I no longer would want to go to them. Very rude. I foster Veterans in my home. Each time I have running around to do I have to pay for a caregiver to come to the home. The gas I have to use running back and forth. The money out of pocket for the glasses my insurance doesn't cover. The money for the co-pays for his office. The aggravation Myself and Costco has to deal with and he doesn't even have the nerve to call me or talk to me when I called the office. I have all the paper work. Now I have to start all over again. It's very frustrating because I trusted going here. Now my mom is scared to go there and now we have to find another doctor for her. She's 80 years old and is upset also. I highly recommend doing your homework before going here. This was a horrible experience and I'm still having to deal with this. Given the amount of time and energy that I put forth, I'm not looking for compensation; I just hope this doesn't happen to other patients.
