MMMM HMMM YES DADDY's!!! Homemade ice cream must be a thing up here, since there were more ice cream places than bakeries open. I chose Daddy's because I saw treats other than just scoops of ice cream. The Banana split caught my eye, but the dipped bananas solidified my decision. Unfortunately when I went, the frozen dipped bananas were gone. There was an empty space in the freezer where they should have been. I didn't want just a cup or cone of ice cream, there were too many yummy sounding flavors too choose from and I would have spent way too much $$$ trying to taste them all. So I went with the ever classic banana split! Right choice! They asked if I wanted it exactly how it comes? I said yes, no reinventing the wheel here. This place is huge compared to the ice cream shops we have in CA. We were craving hot fudge sundaes and were gonna hit the fast food joint, whose ice cream machines are always broken, but thank goodness we found this place first! Staff was friendly. daddys dairy is a place that I go to often. Yesterday I was very disappointed. the website says that the store closes at 10:00 PM and so did google. When I called to double check as I was on the way there, they said 9:00. By this time, it was already almost 9:00. with that being said I called back to ask if I got there around 8:57 and still be served their answer to me was as long as I was there by 9:00. my friend arrived at 8:57 while the rest exactly at 9:00. I can understand why the rest of us couldnt be served, but to advertise 10:00 on your website and say it was okay to be there at before nine, i shouldnt be refused service. if i had known the website was wrong, I wouldnt have showed up so late. read more

Overall not bad. Ice cream is ice cream. Lots of options and toppings. Music is usually loud and staff consists of mostly teenagers who sometimes could have had better training but they are still doing a great job. I've heard semi questionable things about management from friends in highschool that worked here. But I'm sure It's changed since then :) read more

Truly one of my best experiences at an ice cream parlor. We were over in Stoughton shopping for a senior client did not want her out. We went by Daddy's on the way to deliver noticed it was open so that we would stop and treat ourselves on the way home. I had a small peppermint stick ice cream in a cup with chocolate jimmies. It had so many pieces of peppermint in it I wasn't sure there was any ice cream LOL the portions very big for a small. It was probably too much but it was so good I couldn't stop eating it. My hubby had a frozen pudding again same size and it was very good. He's a big Brigham fan but said he felt this was even better then the Brigham he usually eats. They carry over 80 flavors each day of hard ice cream and 200 flavors of soft serve they have a good variety of ice cream pies and cakes. They also have a large variety of any kind of Sunday's you want to make. Looking forward to going back again and trying a different flavor it was really hard to pick the flavor I wanted had no problem with the hubby's as he eats Frozen pudding everywhere. I however has so many different favorite flavors I have a hard time deciding which one to try. They have many locations as well as the Stoughton one they have Brockton , Norwood Karma Braintree. This was definitely a treat that we needed during all of this virus stuff. They open 7 days a week from noon time to 9 p.m. . The only difference from normal is it they are limiting you to five customers in the store at one time I think that's a little sacrifice to wait. Check them out fellow yelpers. My mom and I stopped by daddy's dairy for a snack after going to ikea in the neighborhood. I'm obsessed with frozen yogurt and soft serve so I was very interested when I saw they offer so many different flavors of soft serve. It took us a while to decide on what soft serve to get as the menu was huge. I settled on a large peanut butter Oreo in a Oreo covered waffle bowl. I asked the employee if it's made with real peanut butter and she said yes. I was disappointed to see when she was making it that it was made with Reese's peanut butter sauce rather than actual peanut butter. The product tasted identical to the peanut butter Oreo blizzard I get at Dairy Queen. The best part was the Oreo waffle bowl. It was delicious. My mom got a regular size bad birthday soft serve. I am a pig so I ate a good portion of hers too. It was made with cake batter flavor, sprinkles and chocolate chips. We both agreed that the chocolate chips were the best part. The cake batter flavor was not good. It tasted very artificial. I would not get this flavor again but something else with chocolate chips would be good. Two things really annoyed us. 1. My moms regular size was the exact same size as my large. I know because I have a food scale and weigh everything I eat. Both of our portions were 8 ounces so I felt ripped off since mine cost more. 2. We bought 2 soft serves and we only got one stamp! We questioned why we only got 1 stamp on the loyalty card considering we paid for TWO ice creams. The employee claimed it's their policy which we found absurd. I guess if we ever come back we have to pay in separate transactions. I think daddy's dairy only deserves 3.5 stars but I'm feeling generous. Also realize that before I started coming here, I hated soft serve iced cream. They have about a billion different flavors and combinations, and I've yet to be disappointed. My fiance and I are a bit partial to the "mixers" at this point (madness mix for her, chocolate chips and cookie dough for me), but I have yet to dislike anything else I've tried. If you aren't a fan of soft served iced cream and my testimony hasn't convinced you - don't worry - the hard iced cream is just as good. Huge selection of UNCOMMON and ORIGINAL flavors that you wouldn't typically see at that other place. Apple Pie flavor for instance? Yep, and it's awesome. Nestle Toll House? Come on, what do you think?! They also make iced cream pies and cakes. And homemade iced cream cookie sandwiches. They also have slush puppies. And italian ice. And candy. And raspberry lime rickeys. I absolutely love Daddy's Dairy. There are no less than a million different soft serve flavors, so I've never had to get the same thing twice (AND I've never been disappointed!) I even gave up chocolate for Lent this year, and discovered the strawberry cheesecake flavor which I probably would never have tried otherwise, but it is devine. The staff is nice, the place is clean, and it's super convenient for us locals. I wish I was less obsessed because I'd probably do a little better with my diet. But this is worth the splurge! Daddy's Dairy is the coolest place to find delicious treats along the Route 138 corridor in Stoughton. At this point in time, it's the only place as well. More and more ice cream places have closed throughout Massachusetts in the last years, and along 138 in Stoughton, both iCraze2 and Baskin Robbins (that used to be with Dunkin years ago) are gone. Anyway, besides a few minor issues, Daddy's Dairy is great. It has literally hundreds of flavors of soft serve, as well as a good amount of hard serve ice cream flavors. You may think I'm joking, but be assured I'm not, I believe they actually have 280 flavors in all! Ice cream is rich, creamy, and delectable (my favorite flavors currently are extreme chocolate, cookie dough, and chocolate). The staff are friendly and the prices don't seem too high, since the portions of ice cream are large. The interior of this place is quaint, there are some tables inside and out as well as cakes available. It's definitely not one of the "nicer" ice cream shops I've been to, as it is sort of old and dingy. Improvement in the interior is much desired especially considering other Daddy's Dairy locations (the new Braintree one is one thousand percent cleaner and more elegant) Parking can be tough, but is normally sufficient in the lot right next to the parlor. Typically this place isn't all that busy, but either way I try to get in and out of here since the lot is pretty tight. Overall, pretty good ice cream place and the only in Stoughton (so take it for what it's worth I guess!). Only three stars because the Brockton and Braintree Daddy's Dairy locations are both so much more pleasing than this one which doesn't have that welcoming vibe. SO MANY FLAVORS. i need like 10 at the absolute maximum. otherwise i get confused and then frustrated. especially after spending all day helping my friend rip out his kitchen. really good ice cream and the staff was awesome in two different ways - firstly no one looked at me funny despite the fact that i was all dirty, sweaty, and covered in brick dust and secondly because i couldn't make up my mind so the girl did a half and half cone. and she was just really nice about everything. they also have ice cream cake and those little plastic barrels of juice with the foil lids (!!!) that you used to get at summer camp and your friends' houses (but not at home cuz it's "just sugar water that'll rot your teeth" according to my mom). i wanted to get one but i was kinda embarrassed about it so i didn't. next time. read more

Was at a 13yr old birthday party on 9/1/18. The party attendant open the cake... pictures were taken and in the process the kids started screaming. That's when we notice these flies that were on the frosting. Called Daddy's Dairy explained what happened and asked to have the manager contact us. She did but was super rude and didn't even apologized. She did ask us to return the cake. When we got to the shop a young man addressed us by saying nothing at all, took the cake and the napkin that we had scrapped the bugs off, turned and aggressively dumped it in the sink. Walked over to the register and started taking money out. At that point I stopped because I realized what he was doing. I said, wait! No apologies? No remorse? He then said "my manager didn't apologize over the phone? I said, no and neither did you...frankly the fact that you threw the cake away in the sink in front of us is rude and a total smack in the face. That when he told us he was instructed to do that by his manager. Wow!!! I asked to speak to the manager. He called her and while I was on the phone speaking to her the dial tone came on and I look up and the young man is on the phone. He then told us that Stoughton police were on their way. What? I guess police now handles civil issues. When they arrived they asked what was going on... we told them to ask the young man why he called them. 1 police went out back to speak to him... The 2nd stayed with us and decided to ask for my ID. I told him he didn't need my ID. He then said it was an Arrestable offense if I did not give home my ID. I told him no, it not. He then said yes I will arrest right now. So I told him go ahead arrest me as I will not give him my ID. The 1st cop came back and was super polite spoke us and he apologized for our misfortune and we walked out with him. Since when do cops get envolves with customer issues? And asking someone for their ID makes them uncomfortable and makes them feel guilty of something in your eyes They are so lucky that it was us.... they could have had super rude parents like the manager that was on the phone. read more

So many options here! It can be overwhelming, but our 3 kids love it here. They especially like the tons of topping options. At this point in the summer, I should probably just start working for Daddy's in some capacity or another. Hubs and I stopped in on our way from Easton up to Stoughton along Rt. 138. The parking lot is a little tight, but that's okay. The ice cream makes up for it. Hubs and I each had soft serve cones along with sprinkles. Each time we come in, the staff is always so nice and so patient as I entertain the thought of trying something aside from my "normal" chocolate and vanilla twist soft serve. When we were there, the place was packed with local little league players after a game that they won for an ice cream social. It was really nice to see the staff at Daddy's interact with them and congratulate them on a job well done. The kids were ecstatic. My only complaint is that there's not a lot of room to sit and eat considering the space allotted. Oh well. Maybe it's for the best; at least it prevents me from going back for seconds. ATTENTION: I would give this place no stars if I could. They charge the same price for soft serve and hard ice cream... outrageous! I use to love coming here with my family. This was however until the other day when I order a raspberry lime ricky. It seemed a little over priced to begin with, considering it was mostly filled with ice. What really threw me over the edge was an older women, around the same age as me, filled that cup of ice with a bottle that I could have bought for around 3 dollars cheaper from their own fridge! I was basically made a fool of for spending the 3 extra dollars for ice. I suggest grabbing the bottle out of the fridge, less waiting time and same amount of product!
