We've been twice in the past week. The only thing missing from my last review is our dog who sadly isn't with us any longer. But do bring your pup if you have one for his own cup of vanilla. They have both hard and soft serve ice cream but for us it's the soft-serve only. It's a delicious treat with toppings and sauces galore. You wait all winter until the "Open" sign returns heralding another season. It's here. Don't miss out. There are picnic benches to sit and enjoy your treats.

MMMM HMMM YES DADDY's!!! Homemade ice cream must be a thing…read moreup here, since there were more ice cream places than bakeries open. I chose Daddy's because I saw treats other than just scoops of ice cream. The Banana split caught my eye, but the dipped bananas solidified my decision. Unfortunately when I went, the frozen dipped bananas were gone. There was an empty space in the freezer where they should have been. I didn't want just a cup or cone of ice cream, there were too many yummy sounding flavors too choose from and I would have spent way too much $$$ trying to taste them all. So I went with the ever classic banana split! Right choice! They asked if I wanted it exactly how it comes? I said yes, no reinventing the wheel here. She seemed relieved that i didnt have any substitutions. And Yes, give me nuts too! I sat in my car and enjoyed. I think I enjoyed a little too much, so much that my friend on my earpods asked if I needed some privacy haha. All I could say was "Yeeesss Daddy's" It was so delicious!!! Please hand me a napkin... Daddy's did me good!

That's where I first discovered an Orange Freeze, a refreshing frappe like combination of orange sherbet and vanilla soft serve that quickly became one of my favorite summertime treats. So after celebrating our daughter's birthday in Quincy, we decided to walk down the street to Dairy Freeze on Adams Street for dessert. To my surprise and delight, they had orange sherbet and vanilla soft serve in the same machine and even offered it as a twist. There was no way I was passing that up. The first taste instantly brought me back to those childhood summers. It was absolutely delicious and filled with so many great memories. Sometimes a simple ice cream can do that. Dairy Freeze is one of those iconic neighborhood establishments that has been putting smiles on people's faces for decades. Great ice cream, friendly service, and a little dose of nostalgia made this an unexpected highlight of our evening. I'm so glad we stumbled across it, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Quincy looking for a sweet treat.
