Have to say ice cream is decent, prices are too high, charge you .75 for every additional topping. Only come here because it's the only soft serve around my area, cost me over $5 for regular size cone with sprinkles and was the same size as the doggie dish I got for my dog! And I seem to always leave there wondering if they overcharged me because things aren't itemized l, I just feel they just get happy with that button. One time got a small mixer, a small sundae, a doggie dish and a regular soft serve and cost me over 21.00. Go to Dairy Queen and it's half that price and more of it!! I'm not sure what all the fuss is about Daddy's Dairy. It's okay, but not the best in the area for ice cream. They have an extensive list of soft serve flavors, which is good in that there's something for everyone, but gets a bit overwhelming. The way they mix the flavors into the soft serve means that the ice cream is extra soft when it's in a cone, which makes it a mess to eat especially when you add any dips or toppings. It's tasty though, if you can get it in your mouth before it all drips down your hands. Frappes are yummy and probably the best option at Daddy's. I don't think the hard ice cream is all that great - if I want hard ice cream, I'm going to Crescent Ridge instead. My BF tried the salted caramel pretzel recently and it was lacking - tasted more like butterscotch than caramel, and the texture is too icy and not creamy enough for me. Daddy's is a decent option if you're looking for a local place that sells soft serve, but don't believe the hype. read more

Whatever you do, do not get the rasberry lime rickey. First of all who doesn't put a fresh slice of lime in a rickey, second of all there was far too much ice. When you fill a cup to the very top with large ice cubes, you can only fit so much product. I understand a company trying to save a buck or two, but don't be so blatant about it. The ice cream is good, very good actually. The service is incredibly frustrating. If there was another local ice cream place that had the specific flavor I like then I would go elsewhere. On multiple occasions their staff has been rude and not at all helpful. My company has gone there for every birthday cake and celebration. I completely agree with backing your staff but not when you cannot prove for sure they were acting in an appropriate manner. The attitudes are uncalled for and unwelcoming. Here we are again, placing a large company order. This time they refused it over the phone even though we did it about 3 weeks ago. Saying "We don't do that anymore". I don't even get it because it would honestly be more efficient and effective if an establishment would just take this order over the phone and take your time to prepare it. So many choices - almost overwhelming. I enjoyed my mud pie sundae-with butterscotch instead of chocolate sauce and the added chocolate jimmies! My niece had pumpkin ice cream and it was good. Her friend had salted caramel and it was very good. I will go back for more treats! There is hardly any place to sit so you might as well take it to go. Ice cream is good, actually better than most. Service is also good, helpful and def know what they're doing. Place is small not a lot of tables but who cares. Important thing is, the ice cream is GOOD! Their ice cream cake is also very good, they can hard freeze it for you if you have quite a travel to go. I had an hour drive, when I got to the party i put it in the fridge not the freezer since there wasnt any space. About another hour or so, desserts were up, the ice cream was just right. Soft enough to cut with a knife (the middle part was a bit of a struggle, and thats not a bad thing) but still firm that it wasnt melting all over the place. Everyone loved it. They have a lot of frozen treats. A LOT. I can't stress that enough. You will be completely overwhelmed by the amount of choices you'll have for dessert in this place. It could take hours to choose a treat. Mt only complaint is that their hard ice cream in the front case is often too soft and melts right away (it's good though). It doesn't seem to be a problem with the ice cream in the freezers behind the big display freezer though. They have a soft serve flavor list five miles long, several different types (let alone flavors) of slush, candy, floats, sundaes, ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, frozen bananas, etc, etc, etc...and I've yet to have something that I didn't like. read more

Having a lactose allergy, I was attracted to their ad in the paper that said "lactose-free soft serve! 200 flavors!", so of course I was excited to try. I got the "s'mores" flavor, though it was really just marshmellowy flavored ice cream with chocolate chips, was kind of disappointing. I'm also not sure that it was lactose free...my stomach is hurting but not quite as bad as lactose usually makes it feel. I also didn't ask again in the store which flavors were actually lactose free (like i should have) and assumed all of the soft serve was safe, as the ad had lead me to believe. I am willing to give this place another shot, however, and will be sure to double check on the lactose free flavors. the list of flavors that they do have, however, I found quite impressive. read more

Daddy's is awesome because it's really the only ice cream place in the area that I can enjoy as someone with lactose intolerance! I can get almost all of the soft serve flavors in lactose free and that is incredible! The selection of flavors, both soft serve and hard ice cream is impressive! The toppings are great, and I'm especially a fan of the jimmies, as they are shaved chocolate and really tasty! They definitely cater to their clientele, even going as far as to make school spirit sprinkles for the high schools and colleges in the area! My dad is diebetic and there are some low sugar options for him as well! The fact that I can choose from lactose free, frozen yogurt, or hard serve yogurt is really cool, and I appreciate Daddy's for catering to those of us who love a frozen treat, but can't eat traditional ice cream! A large portion of the population can't digest lactose so these other ice cream places need to get with the times! Way to go Daddy's! Staff is always friendly. Happy Birthday cake should be a memorable moment for 13 year old. However apon opening up the case to his cake, a crowd of kids, parents and staff and Altitude in Stoughton ma.where in dismay, that a few bugs where on top of the white frosted cake. Calling back Daddy dairy to inform the management about the mishap that took place, it was very apparent that they where not friendly and welcoming to complaints. After the brief and aburpt conversation on the phone, myself and family memeber made our way to Daddy dairy. I asked to speak to a manager and a young man name Danny who took the cake dump it in the sink and refunded us for the cake. With no apology for ruining a teenager birthday, the one cake that he requested for his birthday was ruined. Danny then called the manager on the store phone and pass it to us to talk to her. As the conversation commence between my sister and the owner, we realize that she hung up the phone and called Danny and said call the police. Yes... call the police. I was shocked and confused. No one was yelling , no one was confrontational, or being aggressive. But the cops were called for disorderly conduct. When the police arrived Danny said that we where distributive and wanted to speak to the police privately.. meanwhile the other police officers started asking for Identification cards from all five members . I begin to ask him why, we are paying customer who are in an establishment that are selling products to everyone. The officer then began to say if we did not gave him our Identification he would arrest us... looking for answers the officers told us we have to leave their establishments, it became very apparent that five african Americans walked into a well known place and immediately Danny felt threatened and call the police . If this is how you deal with customer service, then you should evaluate how to run a business. I would like to gave the rating for Daddy Dairy a negative one but yelp wouldn't allow me . read more

They do have great ice cream and lots of flavors, but it is very expensive. I have small kids and it shouldn't cost a family of 4 $25 just to go for an ice cream. I wish they offered a lower priced kiddie cone. Also, I'm not that old, but the music is WAY to loud in there. I feel so overwhelmed by how loud it is. When i first walked into Daddys Dairy, I couldn't believe all of the different flavors they had in there! It made me want to try new flavors and get out of the plain vanilla.
