My family and I came here Saturday night to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. We have been coming to LBI together for 30 years and have been to many of the restaurants on the island but this was our first time here. One word "Amazing". Right from the start the atmosphere is like no other on the island. The decor is much like that of the W Hotel with a bit of a 60's vibe, very cool and modern. The menu is definitely upscale and creative. There are also some fantastic signature Martinis. We started with the Lamb Sliders, Tuna Tartar and Bruschetta. All were delicious and the presentation was very nice. For main courses we had the Wild Boar Bolognese, the Monk Fish Osso Bucco and the Griggstown Chicken Breast. Everything was well prepared, flavorful and the portions were generous. We all shared. I also would like to say that our server was amazing. She was full of energy, interactive and attentive to all of our questions and special requests. She made the night complete when she brought out a dessert plate with Happy Birthday written out in dark chocolate. Overall it was a perfect dinning experience and we will be back again. read more

This place was hit and miss. Some entrees were spot on, and others were lacking. Some of the sides were cold. The services was also slow, and the prices were high for the quality of food. Hotel + Restaurant + Bar = Each are wonderful! Hotel - If you are used to large hotel rooms, you'll want to book the Queen Suite. I've stayed in the Standard Queen as well. Neither have a fridge. The bathroom is the same size in each and is glorious. The staff is awesome. Great location. Restaurant - Holy cow! Delicious. The Filet Mignon and the Fish Stew are our favorites. I went here twice in one week, once for the rooftop and the other for dinner outside on their patio. The rooftop is cool, we sat in the lounge area chairs for a while chatting and enjoying HH. While its on the roof...there really is no view of much so dont expect one. They only have 2 of their cocktails disputed and no food specials. We still decided to try a sushi roll and it was pretty awesome, can't remember the name but hey I'll add a pic for reference. The Marilyn Monroe is one of the HH drinks and it was ok...lots of juice that's for sure! Go with wine instead. The bartenders and servers on the rooftop were awesome, really cheery and attentive. Now for dinner. The server was awful. He took drink orders and didn't return for about 15 minutes...we saw him around but never even came by to say hey the bar is backed up or here's sme water while you wait for your drinks...then we didn't get the proper silverware like a spoon for soup and a steak knife for steak. The stuffed chicken breast was really good as were the pork sliders but the portion size of the entrees were on the smaller side. The strip steak was good but not worth the price either. All in all, I'd go back here if it were for another gathering as this past visit was....otherwise I'd probably not be in a rush to venture back. read more

But, we were so glad that it didn't work out and we could come here instead! The backyard bar area is so beautiful with the gorgeous lighting. So exciting to see this restaurant in the neighborhood! Yes, it's modern, yes, it's a little upscale. But wait until you taste the food! Delicious! I asked for a custom cocktail-no problem, it was perfect. We started with sharing a jumbo shrimp appetizer and it was cooked to exact done then chilled. And 5 huge shrimp! I had the local wild caught Flounder with Risotto, topped with naked baby Lettuce. The fish fillet was large but so delicately cooked it melted in my mouth. My dinner companion had the Scallops. I had a bite of one the these giants and again expertly cooked to velvet texture. Ask about the Salted Caramel and Pretzel Bread Pudding and share. I will be back. read more

Great place for Happy Hour. There's a rooftop deck which is great. Only problem is everyone wants to be on rooftop, and there's not enough seating. Stopped here on our first evening out on LBI. It was a fairly quiet Monday evening & we were seated immediately - we chose to sit in the more casual bar area. Really liked the vibe of the place - casual, but upscale. Every staff member we came in contact was very friendly - our server checked in on us often & we did not run out of anything! My normally finicky kids were more than happy with their selections - the Chopped Salad & the Chicken Fingers - while I had the Chicken Club Sandwich (Awesome!). Everything here - from the seasoning of the food to the décor of the restrooms - showed attention to detail! An all around great experience - I would definitely return! read more

Ordered the special app which was bolognese en croute with mushrooms and burrata. It was good although the burrata was more stiff than I've seen from fresh burrata previously. My wife had the mussels in white wine sauce and greatly enjoyed it. I originally ordered the flounder piccata. The meal was virtually tasteless. Asked for the Short Rib Stroganoff. Our family had dinner at Daddy O's this evening and had an air conditioning grill dripping water on us and our dinner. We alerted our waitress, largely because we wanted to make sure that they were aware that it was happening. She called over the manager, "Kaylin" (spelling?) who, rather than simply apologizing, immediately got defensive and tried to come up with justifications for why it wasn't her fault and that there was nothing she could do about the water dripping on us. A simple apology would have sufficed. We can't say enough about the poor management. We will not be returning and will not be recommending the restaurant. read more

Simply put: the BEST Hotel I've ever stayed at...any beach, any town, bar none. Steps away from Brant Beach, or the bay, in the perfect LBI location. The rooms are spacious, plush, and high-end comfortable for two nights or 2 weeks, with sweet on-suites and all the amenities one could ask for. The food is excellent, from burgers to sushi, and all points in between. Great drinks, a rum bar, and a beautiful roof-top deck with an awesome view. Hospitality, check. Friendly, cool people on staff...Check. The tidy separation of 'hotel' 'to go' and 'restaurant' through different doors also makes things flow and go much easier. Bottom line: I LOVE THIS PLACE. daddyO is without a doubt the best restaurant on the island. the food & cocktails are consistently the best, as is the service. what makes daddyO's stand out on top of all the other restaurants on LBI is their customer service/hostessing staff. the hostesses are efficient, effective, and polite. they're never rude, never seem confused, never give you the run around, and have always offered some sort of alternative if they can't accommodate whatever your initial request was. the hostessing team works together effectively and are all aware of what's going on. on this island, that is RARE. i've never been turned away or told they have no way to accommodate me, and for that, they get my highest rating of dining & drinks on the island. the menu is great with solid classic food. and the cocktail menu hands down the best. the location is also modern, up to date, and impeccably clean. daddyO's offers a high class experience, a few notches above anywhere else on the island, and yet is still comfortable. daddyO's sets the standard and gets an A++ from me. read more

Went here for dinner on 7/5/22. We ordered 2 orders of boneless chicken with Thai seasoning. Although the chicken was flavorful, it came to the table and was not hot. It was maybe warm at best. I also ordered a prime rib cheesesteak sandwich. What I got was a short rib sandwich with cheese. I had asked for just onions and no peppers but they forgot the onions. My wife ordered the flounder piccata which was one small piece of fried flounder over orzo. Had no lemon flavor. The service was good but must say the food was mediocre at best. read more
