When I arrived, the business had several customers already waiting in line & I told one of the 2 ladies working there, that I needed the pants hemmed with a 27" inseam, but she insisted I try them on to be "pinned up". Standing on a platform before a mirror, I told her that she had pinned one leg shorter than the other, that I needed a 27" inseam. She said, "that's ok... doesn't matter". Considering her attitude and the disastrous appearance of the business, I should have taken my pants and gone elsewhere (clothes were piled everywhere on work tables, chairs & the counter and hanging from every possible place that would hold a wire hanger). Could barely get in the door when I went for pick-up (people waiting-some were there for re-dos per overheard conversation with staff). Took my pants home to try___ and sure enough, one leg was 26.27" long and the other was 27.9" long. There was also dust(dirt) on my pants which wasn't a surprise considering the condition of the business. Returned to Sewmotion & asked them to please correct the improper hems of my pants and was begrudgingly told to come back the following day at 4pm (closing time). The same lady who originally pinned my pants was hurriedly working on them when I arrived and practically threw them at me when she finished! And low and behold, when I tried them on at home, both legs were short! 25.5" inseams! By now, my pants are really dirty, so I removed the tags, washed them and took them back... this time she was argumentative, saying she didn't cut them off (thank goodness she didn't) said I had obviously washed them and they shrunk! The pants had NOT shrunk when washed, I tried them on prior to washing, and measured the inseam prior to washing. The SEWMOTION employee refused to correct the mess she made of a brand new pair of pants - a simple seamstress 101 task! STRONG ADVICE to take your alterations business elsewhere, apparently, she didn't even seem to understand what "an inseam was! 3 trips & she still couldn't get it right and tried to blame it on me! Thankful, another seamstress was able to salvage the job!
