Made an appt and and talked to the docs about what was needed and all them xrays. The staff are super friendly and so helpful with my questions. I ended up getting approved for Invisalign to help with my under bite/cross bite. Their finance option is pretty flexible and easy to understand. From the beginning, they have been nothing but fantastic. I'm recommending them to all my friends. Also, across the hall from them is the RVO pediatric dentistry. I take both my boys (with special needs) there. Thank you guys!!!

That is until I found Dr. Monsman and his staff. They never made me feel bad about my anxiety, they have always been very patient and understanding. They explain to me what is going to happen before they do it. Which helps tremendously with my anxiety. Dr. Monsman is an amazing dentist. I was late by 12 minutes today and the woman checking me in announced to everyone we were late and they would have to work us back into the schedule. Not a good practice of announcing when a client is late when clients so frequently have to wait beyond their initial appointment time.

This is by far the cleanest medical facility that I've been to since the pandemic. Furthermore, all the staff had on masks, face shields, and PPE garments over their clothes. The staff are friendly and smiled. I'd recommend Dr. Chip for his has patience with the children and get to know them which is great. This is not to say that he doesn't get to know his adult patients because he does. If you, your children, or someone you know needs an orthodontist, then don't hesitate to contact Dr. Chip and his staff. There's a 10% military discount.

Then they ask you to text when you arrive, and you stay in the car until they text you to come inside. Everyone is required to wear their mask and maintain distance. They also take appointments by text. I just love the Dr's and staff here, this is a very pleasant group and their processes make it so simple and easy. On top of me feeling too old, she sent me to Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics of Virginia. The staff at PDOVA made it easy to be an adult patient in what seemed to be a children's facility. I've seen several staff members outside of the office in the community, they knew me by name. During the COVID-19 quarantine I had chains break but couldn't get through to the office for an emergency appointment. I saw one of the staff members in a local store, after exchanging pleasantries I explained the challenge of getting an appointment. A few days later I received a call from the receptionist saying the staff member explained my need for an appointment. I was scheduled and able to come in for that emergency visit. They make you schedule parent visits if you want to go back but don't tell you that's an option until you're stuck with the choice of canceling your appointment if there is a parent already back there. They only allow one parent total in the back room. this is for all patients. So if another kids parent is back there you can't go with your kid. This is for hippa reasons. They claim that the kids do better without the parent but they have never had any reason from my previous visits to claim my kid needed me not back there. They said The dentists can assure the kids they are not scary if the parent is not back there. That was the creepiest thing I've heard. the receptionist also gave me update medical history paperwork unpon checkin but didn't tell me it needed to be returned before being officially checked in so I waiting forever before finally asking what the wait was for. They saw I was done and if I knew I needed to give it to them first instead of when I was called back then I would have. Courtesy says to tell the customer to give it back when complete. some doctors offices just take it when you're called back. It's i consistency with this place so I immediately retracted my care and am going elsewhere

But, when my kids needed to go to the dentist we were fortunate enough to try Dr Neal and the kids loved him! After watching the kids grow up going to Dr Neal, I finally took my own turn in the seat and it was a night and day difference for me compared to what I had experienced when I was younger. Now I'm happy to say that my teeth and gums are in good health and my teeth are even straight now! I honestly enjoy going to the dentist now, something I would have never thought I'd say.
