After getting my first real job and getting the benefits and funds to (finally) take care of myself. The one thing I wanted to get done ASAP was removing my wisdom teeth. All 4 of mine had grown in, luckily straight up, and didn't cause me to get them out sooner than expected. I was referred to this location and from what I remember, was an easy process. I made the appointment, went to it and told them what I wanted. They gave me the process/plan/billing of what it would be to get that procedure done. I remember meeting Dr. Harris and just saying "Please get these extra teeth out of my mouth. I have too many and I want them out!" haha. The front desk staffs were super friendly and helpful with any questions that I may have had. Day of surgery: My boyfriend (now hubby) was the driver who got me there and home after the surgery. When I got there, I signed my forms, and was brought to the back. They gave me some medicine that knocked me out and then woke me up when it was all over. I seriously thought it was maybe 30 mins or an hour. My husband still to this day told me that it was no more than 10-15 mins. He said he was just getting cozy on the waiting chair and just got mid-page of an article until they call him back to come "Pick me up". I "supposedly" kept telling the staff and Dr. Harris "Thank you" while they were doing the finishing process and got me into the car. No more than the weekend, my mouth healed great. It was so crazy feeling those crazy holes of the missing teeth in my mouth. At the follow up, Dr. Harris checked my mouth/gums...everything looked good. I couldn't help but ask if I could give him a hug. He really helped me out with the removal of my wisdom teeth and I highly recommend him to those who wish to get their wisdom teeth out! He was really awesome (AND great at his job!), staff were super friendly and helpful. Thanks Dr. Harris!

I have previously been to one of their other offices in Short Pump, it was a little out of the way for me if I needed a quick appointment during a lunch break, so when I was given the opportunity to switch to the Patterson office I jumped on it. What immediately impressed me about this new Patterson office was how clean it was and how friendly the staff is. Everyone that I encountered was genuinely very pleasant and professional. My hygienist was very thorough and did a fabulous job cleaning my teeth, in fact I think that was the best cleaning I have ever had. The dentist I saw was Dr S. Tyler Perkinson, he introduced himself to me as Tyler and was very personal and professional with a great bedside manner. He was very careful checking my x-rays to make sure he did not miss anything and we talked about a very small issue that I have with one tooth that is mostly cosmetic in nature and he put no pressure on me at all to schedule a procedure that I really don't need. That being said, I did ask how he might fix the problem and he took his time explaining the process to me and one of the friendly employees they are happily printed off a quote and let me know that insurance may or may not cover it and told me that I could call my insurance company and give them specific codes and they would make a determination if it would be covered or not, this way I would know what my out-of-pocket is, in case insurance does not cover it. The quote came on a colorful print out that broke down everything necessary to fix this issue, which was very impressive. If you have any fears about going to the dentist this office does offer sedation dentistry this is something that I do not require as I have no problems going to the dentist I find it very relaxing, it is available if needed. When I realized I had gone too long without X-rays and a cleaning I reached out to them to set up an appointment and they were able to fit me in very quickly which worked out great for me. I also was very appreciative that they are connected with the other Virginia Family Dentistry offices and the ease of transferring my records was extremely convenient, I did not have to do a thing, they did everything for me.
