Basically much of everything I pointed out in our first review was still the same including the very comfortable bed and super soft stuffed pillows. We enjoyed frozen margaritas ($15 each) by the pool, however, during those hot summer days it's hard to find shade by the pool. We also noticed that the water in the pool was pretty cloudy and in need of being shocked back to clarity. And as I mentioned before, the hot tub is really not that hot. In the morning, just around the corner from the elevators, you can grab a courtesy cup of coffee which is a big plus. We definitely used the mini fridge in the room, but we wish the room came with a microwave as well considering how much you're paying for the room. We did enjoy dinner and breakfast at their in-house restaurant called J's. However, it's hard to get out of there for less than $100 for two with burgers, drinks and tip. Same is true for breakfast buffet for three. All things considered, this resort is less than 2 hours drive from Austin and will be paying them a visit again

We enjoyed the clubhouse with the many rooms and kitchen, which can accommodate multiple groups of guests. Far enough from technology to focus on being with ourselves. And so happily, we could finally see stars. It's amazing how peaceful and recharging this place is. I highly recommend coming here and resting your soul.

The bed was nice and cozy and the views were great. We spent the days at the lake floating by the beach and listening to music. The evenings we would grill or go to the amazing restaurant Krab Kings and then night cap at the pool. I couldnt believe the amount of stars that were out. It was just perfect. We booked the King Alexander room, but were changed last minute to the Queen Elizabeth. We are on the tail end of a getaway weekend, so we wanted to rest and relax on our last night, before we go home. Pros - We were the only ones there, so it was nice and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. Cons - We were the only ones there, and had no one to help answer questions about the town, or help us when we couldn't get our TV to work (football games). We brought a sound machine, but had we not... you would be able to hear EVERYTHING in that house. Also, there was quite a bit of lights from the front of the house (outside) that flood the room at night. It was very bright. My biggest frustration came with the service. Usually they serve breakfast, but because the owner (I think?) was injured we got vouchers to the Bluebonnet cafe... sounds great ... except it's closed until January 2nd. We rely on yelp for quite a bit, but it would have been nice to have a human around to give recommendations of another local place to eat. It just wasn't a very traditional B&B experience. Everyone who left reviews said how awesome the food was ... and we left with empty stomachs. What a bummer! We ended up just packing up and heading back home. I certainly feel like I overpaid for what I got out of this experience. All in all... we were able to relax on our last night, and the B&B was very clean and cute. But I think next time we will just stay in Fredericksburg another evening.
