Quiet spot on the lake, great for adults. There is no swimming pool or dog park. There is plenty of room and green space to walk your dogs and on arrival you are given a treat bag. The bathrooms are very clean, each one is a single unit with its own shower that is also very clean. We loved the location and the views. We booked several spots during the week. If you park for only a moment to drop off food then beware that you will catch major attitude from this facility because they don't like any parking in the street. Insert grouchy face and scolding.. No pool also. It's tailored to those that own boats or have lots of money. We were warned about crossing over anyone's sites but found out that many people in other spots didn't take this too seriously after we had our groups 9 kids obey without any problems. In need of an attitude adjustment if they think their park is the best. FYI: the spot to swim in that is roped off in the lake is small considering that you have to social distance. read more

This RV park is lovely. We spent 5 nights at Sunset Point in site 45. The sites that are on the water are much prettier and many of those come equipped with a nice grill and patio space. The cost basis is pretty pricey for what you don't get. It's not shady, unless you are in a prime lake spot. You are not allowed to put anything on the grass. We had to move our outdoor rug to the concrete patio. Which left us with our camper steps in the grass and daily opportunities to sweep inside. The resort puts a lot of value on the grass and they've got someone out there tending the grass every morning. Sleeping past 8 is an option if you don't mind the blowers and mowers. We were always up by then but some people like to sleep in so be aware. We were a tad frustrated because they water every morning and our rug, chairs, ice chests, and grill ended up pretty wet. I got wet getting to my truck while heading over to the local HEB. The sites do not have a fire pit and even if you had a propane pit of your own you'd be hard pressed to find a spot to use it without being on the grass. Wifi is not great. Some pros of the resort are the nice and level concrete RV sites. The restrooms/showers are very nice and very clean. You have access to the lake within a few feet of where you park your camper. If you don't have a boat, there are local boat rentals and they'll bring the boat to you. With the exception of the morning lawn care it is a very quiet campground. Everyone at the campground is friendly. We met some very nice people. We would go again but with a different expectation and we'd probably look for a different spot. read more

My family has stayed at Sunset Point for several years. The strangest thing happened today after paying and registering to visit my in-laws for the day. On my way to the restroom a staff woman hurried over and blocked, literally stood between me and, the site's restrooms. I was completely caught off guard by her pressured and judgmental tone. I was informed that the pass we paid for did not give me access to the facilities. I apologized and stated I was unaware. Still shockingly angered, she said "They should have told you this is a resort and your day pass doesn't give you access to use our facilities!" It seemed that I had really offended her for assuming I might use the restroom. I backed away and returned to visit with my in-laws. Unfortunately the rest of my time was overshadowed by the abrupt and condescending shaming of the staff. read more

It's a nice RV park. It doesn't matter how nice it is though when the staff ride around all day long aggressively hunting for even the most minor of infractions or "perceived infractions". A nice weekend turned into a pretty poor one when every move we made a staff member was hounding us. read more

This used to be one of our favorites, but over the last three years, we have seen rates climb to outrageous for less than stellar service and few amenities........if u rent a premium site with outdoor kitchen, be prepared to spend an add'l 50.00 to use it! We left the park, got back after the gate closed and the code they gave us the day before didn't work. Luckily, we were able to track someone down and discovered they arbitrarily changed the code with no courtesy call to tell us..... Apparentley at some point, someone thought we didn't go 10 miles an hour ( we are both in over 55 and certainly aren't speed demons) and we came home to discover a nastgram on our door. When we were setting up, we had a vehicle that we hadn't displayed our tag and we were immediately reprimanded w/I 15 minutes of arriving. They have now started allowing people to park large boats, jet skins etc in their site with their RV's, so the lake view we paid dearly for was completely blocked! All in all, be prepared to be micro-managed, pay exorbitant fees for a maybe lake view, no pool or hot tub and so so Internet. read more

Beautiful RV Resort! Very quiet place and spacious sites! We found this place online and was pleasantly surprised once we got here. Very friendly staff! We received a goody bag for my sweet dog AND we received 2 coupons for a dessert from Bluebonnet Cafe. Can't wait to go there again. Sunset Point took good care of us!! We stayed here this weekend and LOVED it! The staff was really friendly and the grounds were beautiful! We loved swimming in their designated (and roped off) swimming area and wandering around on the huge granite rock. It was quiet and super relaxing. We came with our small kids and they had a blast. We really enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to come back! read more

Facilities are nice. NO pool. Quite expensive for the area. We had a major issue with fire ants. It's been a month and I now have have scars on my legs . I told the owner, said I may put this in a yelp review. His response"Do what you want, we have plenty of customers". We should have been reimbursed at least partially. We were there for the end of the paid in advance month but used it very little and left early. I am so offended by his attitude. Still trying to decide if I will small claims him based on our bad time. It took me a while to write this as it is a terrible memory. read more

We thought the park was beautiful, from the time we set the parking brake. this place was awesome. The view is just like the pictures. We treated ourselves to one of the only three the luxury sites ($75/night) which is on the waterfront that has sweeping views of the lake and the site included (as advertised) at built in rock walled complete outdoor BBQ area with sink. Would have given this park 5 stars but here are two major flaws that will keep us from not recommending this park to friends and family. 1) The WIFI is clearly unusable. We are advanced users and all we require is a steady connection. Its not unreasonable to expect a reliable WIFI connection (as advertised) taking into considering the high rates that Sunset Point on Lake LBJ RV park charges. 2) Being full timers, on our first day we were thrilled to have such a beautiful attached outdoor area to BBQ and relax. Come to find out that the BBQ was missing the grill and propane necessary to operate the BBQ...so we called the front desk and much to our disappointment they told us that in order to use the BBQ we needed to cough up an addition $50 dollars. Most individuals who are paying a premium of $75 per night are typically not the type to do $50 dollars of cleaning damage to an outdoor BBQ area. Furthermore, why not just charge a understandable REFUNDABLE deposit for use of the attached BBQ area and if it is not a cleaned then you do not get your deposit returned. Needless to say we stared at our beautiful $75 a night attached BBQ outdoor area and used our own BBQ. We could not justify the price considering we were only staying 5 nights, and $50 dollars is two nights out to dinner. Also, the park use of leaf blowers was excessive!! I personally think leaf blowers should be banned....not only are they a loud nuisance, they are inefficient and are not a good use of the earths resources. read more

We have stayed here many times. This last time we stayed here, my wife and I felt that anything we did we were being watched. Do not bring your pets. Even if you do pick up after your dogs. They will say its you didn't. They will petty much call you a liar to your face. They will tell you they saw you do it. My wife and I were shocked. They are very big on do not sit on the grass, do not put anything on the grass. We were told this twice for our floats by the water? We saw other people having chairs propane tanks and other things at there camp site for days and not told anything. They also have a rule of not more than six people at a camp site. We saw this broken many days in a row. We did not feel comfortable at all. We have two small dogs. We also had two small girls with us. The last day of our stay of three day total. I finally had it with these people. My wife is a Mexican American and I am white. This brings me to something I do not go to but I am here. The two little girls and my wife our Mexican American. We our not wild animals. The RV we have is a 2014 36 ft. Fully loaded with two restrooms and we were made to feel like criminals. After being told that we did not pick up after our dogs and being told I was a liar, I have had it. I am also a disable vet. I served during Dessert Strom. My plates on my truck proudly display this. If you are not White or have a Mexican looking family. You may not be welcome here. If you are a veteran and it is the fourth of July weekend you my not be treated with any respect. read more

Beautiful place. We had a premier lot on the corner right by the lake. Very relaxing and beautiful view. All you hear are the bugs and breeze. Take water toys like tubes/pool noodles if you don't have a boat or jet ski. Just something to get you on the water. One side gets all the wind and will just push you back to shore though. But easily solved, go to the other side. No one gave us grief over our dogs. We had them off the leash the whole time. We were there during the week and missed the weekend crowd. Maybe that helped. Would love to go back. I'm spoiled and would want the same or similar spot however. read more

We have camped at many places. This is by far the best kept and most beautiful! The lake is constant level so you don't have to worry about being able to be on the lake. They have an awesome swimming area! The very kind staff was helpful! read more

I am not sure where to start. We have not even stayed yet because our reservations were for the week the now famous Texas Winter Storm (February 14 - February 21, 2021) Of course who would have known that 2 months after making the reservations, Texas would have been hit with such a devastating storm. Ten days before our reservation and meteorologist were certain the storm would hit, I called back and asked what our choices were. The same person answered the phone that I had made the reservations and was told policies are policies and we would lose our deposit if we did not make it. Well, of course living in Texas we hoped the weather would change. Unfortunately, it did not. We watched in horror as we on KXAN a motorhome lost control in the area we would have been traveling and hit a car on the side of the road and thought: "That could have been us or worst." Calling back after everyone defrosted and getting the same lady on the phone to ask if we could transfer our deposit to a different date and were met with resistance and an huge attitude. I will admit after 15 minutes of getting no help on available dates that met our working schedule and practicing what our parents taught us to respect your elder, I had to bite back. NOT PROUD OF IT BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO RESPECT THE CUSTOMER?? We are still going to try make the date "she" set for us but again, that date depends on if we are able to take days off from work. This experience has taught me to read reviews before booking. I did read under the "About Us" tab that the park is owned by LCRA and wonder if they know how people are being treated?? read more

This little RV park was amazing! Our friends rented an RV lot that backed up to the lake and the lake front around your lot is blocked for you! The bank of the lake is large rocks so there's no gross mud. Also the attendants were wonderful and the public facilities were clean and really nice. The park was beautiful and quiet. I will definitely be back here. Loved it!!! read more

I normally do not write reviews but for 86.00 per night plus 7.00 per night for a third person in our camper I thought we should have quality in every area. The internet is very slow and only one connection is allowed per site. The cable is snowy on many channels and the management said that is how it is. And to top it off, I asked my brother and sister in law to come over for lunch on Friday and they have to pay 14.00 to get in and have lunch with us!! What is that? This will definitely be our first and last visit. I will say it is clean and the views are beautiful so if you don't care about any of this then you may like it. read more
