You will receive a text with directions including front door code and room key lock box combo. Pros: 1. Views ... Right downtown below the bridge and off the river. The patios are amazing. 2. The beds were super comfortable. 3. Mainly couples so it is very quiet. 4. The breakfast was nice ... pastries, yogurt, fruit, etc. Cons: 1. No hot water. 2. Single thermostat for the hotel. 3. No staff onsite. This caused an issue when some items were sparse on the breakfast bar, and the key lock box would not open. It took 45 minutes to find and get someone on site to open the keys to our room.

That made me think that they never changed the sheets when last person left the room (disgusting). I slept on the other bed. They the tub was also dirty. Had brown dirt spots inside and the soap that was used was left on the seam of the plastic walls of the tub. Again, made me think, they never cleaned the shower. The phone in the room didn't work and had to use personal phone to call. The poor was dirty as hell so I couldn't even use that. For the amount that they charge, you better off finding another place that actually clean after each person checks out. The breakfast is a joke but gives you something to eat until you get real food. Won't stay there again.

My wife expects 5 star resorts and she said this place exceeded the typical 5 star experience. The bedding, linens, amenities were awesome. They had live music and great food and drink options at the head cabin. Every cabin felt private and unique and the babbling creek and ponds along the Creekside were so relaxing to sit by with lots of Adirondack chairs overlooking the creek and rocking chairs on the cabin porches. We also chose this place because they allowed my Australian Shepard to come (only some cabins). The whole experience was amazing and only a 5 minute drive to the main strip. Don't miss a tour of Signor Vineyards, a 10 minute drive West. The most beautiful vineyard and cool experience!

You approach the resort by dirt roads, but they are well maintained and no problem for our sedan. The Tesla nav system was accurate. We had no problems getting there and back. Kelly and Brian are excellent hosts. Brian can regale you with many anecdotes from Central Texas history, most of which I had not heard before, even though we've lived in the Lone Star State for 38 years. Our room was quiet, cool, and comfortable. The lobby is also quiet and is a great place to sit and read. There are two very sweet dogs that have the run of the place. We had a lot of fun interacting with them. You can walk the grounds and along the dirt roads with nearly zero traffic. I do recommend sturdy hiking boots, as cockleburrs are plentiful. There are also venomous snakes in this area, although we did not see any. Better safe than sorry. We will certainly return. I'm thinking March or April will be perfect to catch the wildflowers and get in before the summer heat. Please the attached photo captions for additional comments.
