This review is long overdue. Mona and her crew (Pedro and another man) renovated my bathroom tub / shower in the Spring of 2018. I was limited to no bathroom for less than a week. Her show room has hundreds of tiles and flooring to choose from. The before shows a stock built in shower with a very shallow tub. The after is a deep tub with beautiful tile work. MONA is so great! highly recommend Da Vinci. I had been interviewing contractors for about 6-8 mths casually for my kitchen update and was not impressed by any of them. Mona's bid was about middle-of-the-road, but she understood what I wanted and her team was ready to start immediately. As with any construction project, there were disappointments, (things I couldn't do b/c it's a condo,) cost overrun, (because champagne taste on beer salary,) and time extension, (because the building had settled and there was not one straight/level wall to work with.) Despite all these difficulties, Mona was there every step of the way with lots of constructive solutions. At the end of it, I got a gorgeous, brighter, much more functional & comfortable kitchen. I had Da Vinci come out to my house to give me an estimate for a shower enclosure leak. The representative I worked with promised a break out of all pricing (e.g. if I obtained permits versus them pertaining permits, etc). That was not provided. I was given a quote in one lump sum that is well over double the price of a different local company's quote. Lazy quotes this early in the process doesn't bode well for the work getting done right and timely, not to mention tremendously over priced. If I would have read the other negative reviews first, I would not have wasted the time. So after hired another contractor to properly finish the job that Da Vinci could not complete, they sued me in small claims court. Just another attempt at a money grab. The results of the court case are attached. They lost everything in their suit against me. These people are the worst. You should have heard the judge diminishing the fool Victor. We selected DaVinci Construction amongst three bidders to remodel our guest bathroom. Pricewise they were in the middle of the range, and competitive. We had some hesitations because of the mixed reviews both on Yelp and Google, but moved forward after obtaining assurance of full satisfaction from the owner Victor. Our concerns dissipated after the demolition. The crew was friendly and fast, and did a great job cleaning after their work was finished. The drywall, electrician, plumber, tile guy and painters were also very competent in generall and responsive to our last minute changes in requirements like smoothing the wall texture and installation of additional sink faucet. We found this place after eating Pho one day at Banh Mi, and here we are sitting in a beautifully remodeled kitchen. Mike gave us no pressure at all and just heard us out and the ideas we had, offered to come by for an estimate based on what we described and we got down to it. He helped us not only with the tile backsplash, but painting all our cabinets, and even replacing our bartop to a white quartz. It was a great packaged deal that was fairly priced (he kept insisting he was cheaper than Home Depot, which he definitely was) We did not expect from a small tile shop. The painting was professionally done, spray with touch up in 2-3 days. The backsplash we pick was a beautifully done and luckily they ask what color grout to use and we ended up going with white to match our newly painted white cabinets. Highly, highly recommended. Did a master bathroom re-model. Took a 70's era Roman tub and turned it into a showpiece shower. Turned the old shower into a closet, tiled the flooring, replace vanity, etc. Turned out great. We search ALL of the larger tile/flooring stores including the Anaheim "Mile of Tile" and couldn't find what we wanted (maybe a piece here a piece there but nothing that would play together). Yet, we walk into Mona's storefront and find everything and loved it. Mona's sense of style was a perfect partner to my wife's (yes I'm an engineer and tend toward jeans and T-shirts). I loved it also. As to execution, yes things popped up, but they were handled. She works with good people (Alberto her tile/plumbing and misc. guy is fantastic and had wonderful ideas) and the overall execution I have no reason to be anything but grateful for. I met with Mona who was referred to me by a friend. She provided a plan and a reasonable cost to complete my Kitchen remodel which included a quartz counter top and back splash, new cabinets (beautiful with a lazy Susan) and installation of my new appliances. Although there were some 'hiccups' Mona was responsive and it all turned out beautifully. I would highly recommend Da Vinci. What great service, quality kitchen cabinets and a price that was unbelievable! Our rental kitchen was outdated and needed a fresh look, but our budget and vacancy schedule was extremely tight. I hired Mina to remodel my kitchen & flooring throughout the whole house. Communication before the job began was always wonderful & responsive. Once the work actually began, it would take forever to get a call back. The entire remodel took about 6 months due to issues I brought up in the beginning which were glossed over. The entire budget was also understated an ended up costing more than if I went with a legitimate company. During the entire 6 months, I would beg Mona to come over and see the errors & mistakes that the contractors made, but she would also say she was too busy. Only towards the end did she finally come by for a few minutes. Also, I had a hidden camera in my room. I recorded video of her contractors going through my girlfriend's bags. When I brought this to Mona's attention, she blamed my girlfriend for not hiding her belongings. I demanded her manager/owner's contact and was denied. These people are crooks. Avoid them and go with a real company even if the initial quote is higher. read more

We first hired Ron to remodel our primary residence in 2018. We redid the whole house flooring, added new baseboard and crown molding. Ron and his crew was highly efficient and professional. Up to this date we still get tons of compliments on the Italian tile flooring that Ron recommended, and its beautiful installation. Ron's price was very competitive and reasonable as well. He was very customer orientated, always responsive via email, text or phone call. We were so happy with that project that we hired him two more times this year, 2022. In the beginning of the year, he managed a project at our primary residence involving converting a garage bay into an office accessible from inside the house, enclosing a second story balcony to an office, and kitchen countertop and backsplash. He dealt with the city permits and materials purchasing, crew and schedule. Despite challenges with materials and labor due to Covid, his crew was able to complete the whole project in 6 weeks and we passed inspection with no hiccups! Then in May we hired him once more to completely remodel a rental property. He redid all 3 bathrooms including vanities, countertops and tubs, a kitchen with new countertop and back splash, sink, cabinets and hood, and flooring throughout the whole house. He was at the job site everyday to check on progress, especially since we were not able to go there on a daily basis. Having worked with him closely two other times, even though we had the freedom to pick out materials for the rental, we trusted his management and taste so much that we had him pick them out on our behalf and we were so happy with the results! Having a nightmare with these folks. They know I am not at home. There is a lockbox here. The workers come to my home with no written instructions. They do not know what room they are working in. They do not speak English. They do not call their bosses, Mona, nor Victor to ask questions. They do not call me, their customer. Due to the lack of communication, the whole tile job in my daughter's room has to be torn up because they failed to demo the existing baseboards when they demo'd the previous floor surface. Yikes! What should have been a simple, 2-day job is now going to be a 2 week job. A complete disaster and disruption to me and my family. No excuses! No more BS! These folks do not have a clue! No good. DaVinci has created a masterpiece for us. After visiting their FV showroom in September, we met with Mona, their sales associate and discussed an entire kitchen redo. Victor the owner came in and joined our conversation and agreed to personally handle the job to assure there would be no problems. Everything that was agreed upon from the time frame, to the products used, to the promptness of the workers was 100% on target. A design plan was drawn up and included some rearranging of appliances, countertops and cabinets and they turned out just great. All of the individuals involved, the demo team, the electricians, the cabinet installers, the tile and countertop installers were all top drawer. Stopped by on a Saturday to look at flooring since we live close by I figure we give the local shop a shot. We make and appointment for the next day at 4 PM. Everything seems ok, until 4 when no one shows. At 4:15 I call and the lady has no idea she made the appointment the day before and she's with another customer. This after I see her write down our appointment in her schedule book. She asks for all my info again! WTH? She asks to reschedule for 6 PM. I figure ok, I'll give them another shot. 6 PM rolls around and I get a text requesting another reschedule because she's still with a customer. For me, those are all the chances you get. They're the ones who suggested 4 PM and then 6 PM in the first place. I let them set the times and they were still unable to meet those expectations. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! I had to give Da Vinci one star because there isn't anything lower. My husband and I hired Da Vinci Kitchen, Bath and Flooring (Beach Blvd location) a little over two years ago. We had wall to wall carpet and tile work done and really went against our better judgement and went with the cheaper company (get what you pay for..) and still paid over $6,000. We had a very difficult time with Benny the salesman that lost our measurements three times and was very difficult to reach when installers were a no show. When they finally showed up carpet was installed in areas we wanted tile and tile where we wanted carpet. Benny miscalculated the amount of tile and being that we were tight on time we had to install carpet instead. The moulding installers showed up late everyday they worked and had no clue how to make proper cuts and even asked me if I wouldn't mind caulking the moulding as they were behind for other jobs. Six months after the carpet was installed we noticed the carpet in the hallway coming up. We made numerous calls to Benny before he would have someone come out to fix and stretch the carpet. This happened two more times and again numerous calls were made to have the carpet fix. Three months ago, I called and spoke with a young woman who said she would have the owner call us back and no calls as promised. I called several times and was told that the owner would call. a month ago I walked into the store and spoke with Mona and showed her pictures of the carpet coming up and wrinkling. She said she had never seen carpet wrinkle as bad as our carpet had. She made copies of the contract and said that the owner would call in a day or two. I waited a week and called her back only to be told that i would get a call back from the owner. A week later I called and had to leave a message with no call back. My husband then left messages for someone to call and to come out to take a look at the carpet and again no return call. The buckles and wrinkles in the carpet were so bad that we were tripping over them. I finally had to hire, The Carpet Doctor to come out and fix the carpet in the hallway and two bedrooms costing us $525. I can not express enough how unprofessional and dismissive Mona was and the owner for not standing behind their work. Sure everything is great and looks great until the workmanship starts to reveal itself and the poor customer service leaves you high and dry. We have the contract, photos, phone records to show the calls made and attempts to speak to someone about the poor service and installation. I used Da Vinci through this Fountain Valley office. I've owned my home for over 40 years and have done extensive remodeling over the years. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor or remodeling job. Most of the workers did a pretty good job and my serious complaints are not about them. But working with Mona at the home office was a complete nightmare! She couldn't get anything right. I ended up doing a LOT of the leg work myself, paying for things I never expected to pay for and there were many, many delays while correcting the many mistakes. I am 83 years old and am taking care of my 90 year old frail husband. I wanted to be able to give the instructions for what I wanted, get an accurate bid and have the project done with minimal involvement after that. Here's what I had to find and also purchase myself: the three door medicine cabinet, the light for over the cabinet, the sink faucet, the shower fixtures/faucets, the toilet itself, the new window, the shutters, the ceiling light and the paint. I was reimbursed for the vanity and over the toilet cabinet I also purchased but not for the others. After explaining everything I wanted done to Mona, which she wrote down, I just assumed these items were all included in the bid for $18,000. Too late I discovered none of the above were included. I hired them to remodel a small bathroom (7' x 11'). I was told the job would take 2 - 3 weeks. Three months and countless headaches later it was finally done. Along with the other "misunderstandings about the bid, the tile bid was also incorrect. She completely left off trim work we had discussed in detail. Then somehow the color of paint I had chosen was totally mixed up. I chose and left her a sample of light blue paint and came home to find my bathroom was painted black! The day the vanity cabinet was to be installed the workers arrived with a cabinet that looked nothing like the one I had chosen. I had given her a picture of the exact cabinet I wanted. My daughter and I spent a long, hot, miserable day out shopping for the correct cabinet as she said that cabinet in that size couldn't be found. So she sent over something entirely different with no advance notice. Well I was able to find it! Then I had to wait until the workers could be rescheduled.... another delay. The glass company and workers she sent were unprepared and seemed incompetent. They had to come out 4 separate times with long delays in between. They arrived not even knowing now how many closets they needed mirrored doors for and brought the wrong number. The next time they came they didn't have the tools needed for part of the job. The next time they didn't have the correct glass for the shower and then didn't have the correct parts for installing the glass shower enclosure.... etc. Most outrageous of all, when I called to explain the errors and mistakes as they occurred, she just yelled at me and always blamed someone else. I could write a book about all the things that went wrong! My adult children had to take time off work and fly in from out of state to help me at various times because the stress was just too much for me and my husband. I don't know how this company can stay in business. Shop somewhere else! read more

I contacted Da Vinci based on a recommendation from one of their previously satisfied customers. Victor from Da Vinci met me at the house and took his time to explain all my options. He was knowledgeable and had great suggestions as to how to accomplish all I wanted within my budget. I then visited their store and was able to choose the materials that I liked from the variety of great samples they had. They started the job when promised and completed it even sooner than promised. Before coming here, I was rather reluctant to give them a try given the previous negative comments. However, after extensively researching other contractors and their much higher quotes, I gave them a try. Mona helped me design my first floor renovation and was a pleasure to work with. She answered all my questions and went above and beyond to make sure my vision came to fruition. I performed about 45% of this renovation (demo, light wood floor installation, moulding, etc.) on my own time and contracted them to do the other 55% (complex electrical, carpet install, tile install, etc.) I did not have the knowledge, time or resources to do on my own. Mona was very attentive to my needs and detailed in our communications given that I was probably a little more hands on and involved than her usual clientele. At the end of my renovation, I had a rather benign question about glass mosaic backsplashes and she took my call while she was on her honeymoon with her husband. Who does that?! Her professionalism and dedication to my needs are exceptional. She kept my budget in mind and was very resourceful and creative with the plans to accommodate my budget. I have done my kitchen and bathroom done by da Vinci kitchen and bath flooring Mona the contractor/designer was very helpful with every thing from start to finish the whole job took 1 month all together,professional crew and greatly manner workers,at the end I'm so happy with the final result they reached my expectations even tho some time it was kind of out of ordinary when it come to remodeling well I can be that way some times hahaha but they are very professional and caring that's what I needed I strongly recommend them and I will use them for my further projects :) read more
