Acai Smoothie - I was disappointed
Osula L.

I came here via car on a Wednesday afternoon in mid-June 2024. I parked in the public parking structure one block South of the store. It was a paid parking structure but it was free for me since I was in and out in under 20 minutes. I walked from the parking structure to the juice bar, and when I got there, only one person was ahead of me. I ordered their medium Acai smoothie since I wanted a banana, blueberry, and apple juice smoothie but figured this version would be a nice meal replacement. FYI, they do not take American Express. The drink was $11.02 for their 22oz cup. The drink was ready quickly and they had individually wrapped plastic straws at the counter next to the drink pick-up area. I picked up a straw, unwrapped it, and placed it in my drink as I walked out back to my car taking my first sips of the drink. I noticed that it tasted very like alcohol - kind of like when a fruit is on its way out. The drink was okay but it was definitely not what I expected. I hoped the drink would get better but it never did. I barely drank any of it and tossed it when I got home. At least my parking was free. I'm not sure I would trust enough to purchase another expensive smoothie from them.

Breakfast Burrito

I visited Da Juice Bar after my Saturday gym class. The establishment is located next to Porto's. I initially wanted to get Porto's for a sandwich, but the line was outrageous (like always). But it all worked out! Da Juice Bar had breakfast burritos which was delicious. It had crispy bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs and cheese. i added avocadoes, because I had to treat myself for going to the gym on a Saturday morning! Da Juice Bar serves mainly organic juices and smoothie bowls, but I was craving heartier. I'm so glad they had such a wide range of options. They also carry homemade frozen empanadas. The place is small, and there were 2 tables, which were taken when I was there. I ended up eating in my car before my drive home.

Acai Bowl

It's been years since I've been to Da Juice Bar (I used to work in the area) and boy how I've missed it! Their breakfast burrito is so delicious and not overly large... just the perfect size. Drizzle the orange hot sauce on top and it's just perfection. Their acai bowl is equally delicious with 2 scoops of acai, topped with granola, strawberries and bananas. The best part is that the acai is frozen pretty solid so it travels well and isn't acai "soup" by the time you reach your destination. When I got home it was the perfect consistency. The prices are very high though... a breakfast burrito and acai bowl came out to over $30! I went back the next day and got just an acai bowl and the listed price said $13.50 and I ended up paying $20 with tip. The math definitely wasn't math-ing. Summary: Delicious food, friendly service but pretty pricey.

Breakfast Burrito - green sauce is a MUST!
Alice Y.

More like 3.5 stars for tasty food, portion, and price. The small storefront has only 2-3 small tables in the front and a couple of chairs inside to sit on while waiting for your order. No one seems to eat there, but we observed lots of foot traffic for to-go orders. You can even order ahead for pickup. Da Juice Bar's huge eclectic menu reminded me of an independent Jamba, but more inventive and with cafe food options. FOOD ORDERED - Breakfast burrito ($9.50). A normal sized burrito, not a massive baby that needs to be saved for the next day. When we cut it open, it looked gray and sad, especially the large mound of mashed potatoes (not mentioned on the photo ad) in relation to the egg and bacon. Eating it straight, the burrito tasted better (3 stars) than it looked (2 stars). The mashed potato itself wasn't too wet or dry, and it was seasoned. However, adding the green salsa put it over the top. The salsa was a concentrated flavor EXPLOSION: garlicky, savory, mildly spicy, with a depth of roasted flavor. The mashed potato transformed into the perfect vehicle for the sauce. With the sauce, it's really good. I think the red sauce was just an asian chili sauce on the sweeter side; skip it and ask for extra green sauce! - Avocado toast ($10). A hefty slice of chewy sourdough bread (light on the fermented flavor) with avocado puree, balsamic diced tomato, alfalfa sprouts, and feta cheese. I wasn't expecting the sweet and sour balsamic; it was good, but a touch too sweet. It was surprisingly filling. Overall, not bad, but I would have prefer a more rustic mashed avocado.

Spicy Chicken Wrap and Breakfast Omelette split in half with my partner

So many great things to say about this place. First off - my boyfriend and I are regulars here. We love it so much, a healthy alternative to other spots out there and the people that work there are always so sweet! Looking for something healthy? Juicing? Healthy meals? This is your spot! We typically order: Spicy Chicken Wrap on a Spinach wrap: Beware if you're not one to like spicy things, this may not be for you. The spicy mayo pairs so well with the chicken, romaine, tomato, sprouts, red onion, Swiss cheese and BASIL. A very unique taste, but not overpowering and tastes amazing. I highly recommend. Breakfast omelette - something so simple yet so good! I love the little bits and taste of bacon in each bite. We usually get ours with egg whites and tastes really good with the spicy mayo or the green chili sauce they give you. I highly recommend this too Breakfast burrito - Same as the breakfast omelette yet wrapped in a burrito! It's not your massive breakfast burrito you're used to getting at Albertos, but its smaller and still good enough to keep you full. I'm so happy this place is here and hope it never closes down. It's a favorite forever!

$25 for lunch. $9 lemonade is crazy. But I do enjoy their food.

It's gotten expensive. $25 for lunch. $9 for the lemonade alone which was all ice. The food is good. I do enjoy it but the prices have gone up so much.

This is my go to after the gym. I either get the veggie cocktail or green juice. Can't go wrong with either one. I also get the kale salad! They also have a point system if you frequent this place. Very fresh! Parking is a little difficult since it's in Glendale. They have a slight parking lot in the back.

Acai Bowl

Their Açaí bowl is phenomenal! I couldn't wait (I dug in before taking these pictures) but presentation was there. I added coconut shavings, honey and peanut butter to mine. Da Juice bar is always my go-to whenever I want something fresh and fast. Thank you to whoever put mine together, it was delicious!

The smoked turkey was piled high with tomatoes, pesto, banana peppers, provolone cheese and balsamic glaze packed into a perfectly toasted thin bread. Every bite had so much flavor and the ingredients tasted very fresh. The portions are also fantastic for the price. For $16 the sandwich came with two huge halves that were easily enough to share or save one for later. Already thinking about I'm ordering next time. The breakfast sandwich was by far the worst of the three. It looked amazing, but the taste was a completely different story. The eggs weren't salted, let alone seasoned, and the entire sandwich was incredibly bland. It genuinely tasted like cardboard, which was especially disappointing given how appetizing it looked. The pastrami sandwich was a 5/10 at best. I wasn't a fan of the texture of the pastrami, and the meat itself lacked any particularly memorable flavor. The turkey pesto was easily the best of the three. The bread was good, the ingredients worked well together, and the sandwich was nicely assembled. It was the only one I actually enjoyed. Overall, the sandwiches looked much better than they tasted. With so many good sandwich spots around, I wouldn't return.

If you don't know already from your map, this is located inside the Pokitomik in the Glendale Marketplace. I only wish that there was a sign outside that said "Si Roma - Italian Sandwiches" on the window so that more people might be enticed to look inside. The only thing I saw was their logo, which people might not immediately recognize. I've tried their Si Roma and the turkey allora before but this time we went with the Americano, which was a pretty hefty sandwich! You could share this between two people, honestly. What I appreciate was that it wasn't too packed where you have a hard time eating the thing. The stirato bread is good, perfectly sturdy for the sandwich and has this white dust (flour?) on it that makes it different from your standard sandwich shop. My favorite part of every Si Roma sandwich is the generous helping of stracciatella cheese, and the is time we got this lil cup of honey/fig/parm sauce thing to slather onto the sandwich as well, which added a deliciously sweet dimension to it. They also have a $5.95 sandwich that I would love to try next time. They bill it as an affordable option for people working in the area which I think is great given how much more expensive things have gotten! Wishing you all the best and success, Si Roma!
