The food was very tasty. We weren't expecting to get such great Italian food in Switzerland but it was delicious. Ivan was our server and was fabulous! We only speak english and Ivan's english was great which was really helpful. He was very friendly and a great waiter. Will definitely be back if we are in Lucerne again!

We squeezed into this riverfront place for dinner after a day of touring Luzern. The kids liked the magherita pizzas they got as kids meals; they came looking like a bunny with two ears of crust added above the pizza. I had the carpaccio with arugula and romano, plus tagliatelli with pesto. Both were average. Nafisa had risotto with lamb; the lamb pieces were excellent but Nafisa would rather have had more lam b and less risotto.

Is with Geraldo our wonderful host.

Had just about an hour or so in Lucerne and had to find somewhere to eat. This restaurant is right on the water and has outdoor seating as well as 2 floors. We had to wait for dinner to be served as it was only at a certain time. The menu was not extensive but they had a decent amount of Italian fair. The prices were a bit steep compared to what I'm used to back in America , but we were also made well aware that prices in Switzerland were higher. I got the canelloni florentina which was flavorful but over 20 so over $22 usd for a small baked dish of pasta. No salad, no bread. Again I know this is customary for Europe but it's very different from America. The biggest sticker shock was paying almost $3 for a juice glass of tap water. Our waitress was nice and the food tasted good. The place was a little dated in decor but overall not a bad spot if you're in the mood to try something other than local cuisine.

Nice location along the lake. The outdoor dining is one of the best spots on the lake. The Italian food is quite good and they have a good selection of beers. Service was quite prompt and friendly.

I've been here twice now, and it's a great place to stop in Luzern. Definitely more geared towards tourists because it has a great location overlooking the river and wooden bridge, but because of its prime location, this is a great place to go. It is easy to make a reservation from their website, so I'd recommend making one in advance. The first time I ordered the bolognese and it was yummy and the second time I ordered the spicy salami pizza and that was also good. Wide selection of spritzes, beers and wines. And a good dessert menu too.

    Our enjoyed dinner!

We quickly learned that portions are huge, and very little English is spoken at these smaller places. No worries though...after stumbling through ordering a beer (easy to order) and a Chardonnay (a little different) we ordered a large salad and a pizza to share. Service was excellent once we overcame the language barrier, and the large house salad (Gruner salat), and a combo pizza (stagioni) for 10.50 and 23.50 Francs were excellent! The staff are very pleasant and accommodating...we found one waitress who spoke English. This is definitely a popular place for families and locals and can be very busy. It's cute; quite small, but highly recommended off the beaten path restaurant!

First off, there were four of us, two adults two kids and they insisted we must order 4 pizzas. Ofcourse the pizzas are huge and as a result there was a lot of wasted food. Maybe this is a Swiss thing that anyone occupying a seat must spend a minimum amount, but if so, what a sucky way to run a business. Next when it came time to pay, the guys says "you must pay cash". Now I wish he had told us that earlier, not sure what we would have done had we not had cash. This was the first place in all of Switzerland in our 2 week trip here that demanded cash. But there was a reason for this as we'd find out soon. The bill was a little over CHF 100. I handed him CFH 110. He prompted gesticulated "ok? Ok? Finish".. clearly indicating that we wanted to keep the change as a tip which he did! Overall shady service designed to cheat foreigners.

We highly recommend reservations because we tried to walk in the night before and nothing was available for one hour. We began our meal with Bruschetta which was very tasty. It was 4 slices of Italian bread covered in a delicious tasting oil, garlic, and chopped tomatoes. A nice start. My wife ordered the Spaghetti Aglio and I had the Spaghetti Bolognese. Both meals were tasty and cooked fresh. Portion sizes were respectable. The service was exceptional and our waiter spoke good enough English. The prices were very reasonable and cheaper than it would have been in the USA. This was a nice end to our trip in Lucerne. The restaurant appreciated our business and shook our hands twice when we left. It was worth the visit.
