The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious and the portions were huge!! We have lots of yummy leftovers

Very tasty! The menu is simple with large photos and prices, not as many choices as other restaurants, but all of my favorites were there. The dishes are extra generous with about 2 servings worth of food each. For a starter, we had the crab rangoon which came with more pieces than we were expecting. The crab flavor was more pronounced than the cream cheese- which we found delicious. I thought all rangoon were basically from the same supplier, but these were richer than any we had before. I ordered a blue Thai iced tea. I think I was expecting blue raspberry Italian soda flavor, which this was definitely not. It had an earthy, unique flavor that is closer to an ube. They mentioned it was made from butterfly peas. Pad Thai came with plenty of large prawns and was full of tangy tamarind flavor. Three stars was the perfect balance of heat for me. It reminded me of the very first Pad Thai I had back in 1999 at a restaurant in Seattle that no longer exists. It immediately made me feel nostalgia for that era. Tom Kha soup is pure comfort food with a hearty coconut milk base and plenty of carrots, onions, broccoli, green beans, tomato and mushrooms. They bring you a large portion of rice to accompany the dish which I always like to mix in with my soup. This was my girlfriend's favorite dish here. The mango sticky rice had hot, sticky rice, sliced mangos and sweet cream drizzled all over the top. The mango was fresh and firm. This was a nice balance of flavors without overt sweetness drowning anything out. The service was excellent with the staff anticipating our refill needs and checking on us often. The ambience for dining was simple and understated. They call their fare "Thai street food" and the decor matches that to a T. Not fancy, but quaint and perfect for a fun date. Overall, we are very happy that we found this place and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good Thai cuisine. read more

D'Thai is SO YUMMY! I love Thai food and try to taste it whenever I travel. This is a great locally owned Thai restaurant in Yakima. The owners are so nice and friendly and the food is really good and great portions! I favor the Pad See Ew (pictured), Pad Thai and my husband gets the yellow fried rice. The Thai Iced Tea (pictured also) is tasty too! Check them out! Support local. read more

D Thai - Pad See Ew with chicken and Thai Iced Tea - Thai Near Me - Yakima, Washington

This delightful little shop is located in the strip mall across from Walmart in WV. They took over for a pizza shop that unfortunately went out of business, but we were very excited for this as a replacement. It's run by a very nice couple who have done street food for quite some time. The seating for about a dozen people, and the food came out relatively quickly after we ordered. There are not a ton of offerings, to a food truck, but what they have was good. We very much enjoyed the pad Thai. The barbecue pork was probably the low point, but wasn't bad. Dumplings were solid, and they had some decent beverage options. The surprising star of the show, and something that we will absolutely be back for was the basil beef. This might be the best thing that I've tasted this year! It was very savory, not overly heavy and just plain good! It was like a hug from your Thai grandmother, and even if you don't have a Thai grandmother, you'll know what it would feel like to get a hug from her when you taste this! The prices were right around what we felt like we should pay for things, and we had a chance to talk with the owners before we left. They were incredibly nice and definitely excited about showcasing the food that they have. Overall, this is a really solid spot and one that is worth checking out! read more

Usually you have to choose quality or quantity...not at this gem!! You get 5 star quality food with quality made ingredients and the portions are large! Cant wait to see this place grow and grow over the years to come! read more

Huge portions, very courteous service, and the food was delicious. It's one of those places where four stars for heat actually means four stars. There was a tremendous amount of tofu in the pad see ew, as well as a good amount of broccoli. The chicken and the chicken pad Thai was well cooked and tasted very fresh. Definitely a place we'll come back to. read more

Bit of a small menu, but that means they're good at what the do make. Easier to trust the quality of a restaurant that has 8 dishes than a restauraunt that has 80 dishes. That's not the reason I love this place though, they genuinely seem to appreciate every single customer they serve. Super good attitude from the hostess, take-out bags bundled with care, and occasionally if they're in a good mood and you order a lot of food, they'll give you a free Blue Tea or equivalent beverage while you wait. read more

Delightful food and beverages and nice coworkers that provided good service and good food. Interesting building and easy to access. Recommend going there read more

We were passing through Yakima on our way home and wanted something quick yet delicious, and D Thai fit the bill. The service was so kind and accommodating, the food came out quickly, and it was really tasty. I got the pad Thai with chicken and it lasted me 3 meals, the portion was super generous. The restaurant was clean and simply furnished. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely come back :) read more

Perfect in every way. Easy access in and out of the parking lot and plenty of parking. Very clean inside with good lighting and quiet for catching up with friends. Looks like it might accommodate 25 diners. Take out appears to be bustling. The Pad Thai was on point. The best I have had in Yakima and I'm pretty sure I've sampled all this town has to offer. The portion was generous and easily will provide 3 more meals beyond today's lunch. The tableware is solid and comfortable to use. (I do not like thin stamped out metal forks, I'd rather use plastic) The hostess/server was a delight. She was attentive, had a knack for timing when checking in with us. She was kind and friendly. When we took our leave, the hostess and cook expressed genuine appreciation of our business and I got a good look at the kitchen; also clean and tidy. My friend and I agreed that this is a restaurant that deserves to be well supported so we don't lose it. read more

Best food in Yakima and they have great portions! We got pad thai and garlic delight it was so delicious.

Holy mole. I just drove in from seattle and needed something tasty! My friend recommended this spot, and boy were we surprised! I almost ate alll the pad Thai, it wasn't dry, and it was flavorful --- wow!! The curry was medium spice which is hotttt for me, but it was creamy and delicious! We have a lot of this spots but this one in the valley is a must have. This might be my go to when I come down! We also got the Thai ice tea and that was made to perfection and delicous! OK, the best part was the owner brought the food out to the car, and that was the sprinkles on the donut, magical! Customer service was over the top (over the phone) and in person! Highly recommended you come check it out!! read more

D'Thai is pretty good overall. The Pad See Ew is excellent, and the rice was cooked very well. However, the Thai staple Pad Thai was disappointing and, in my opinion, only a 2 out of 5. I'm hoping this was just an off day rather than the norm. I'm willing to give it another try in the future. read more

Everything on the menu is $20. The seating was very uncomfortable and it was too cold in there. Not impressed, will never return.

We tried this restaurant for the first time for my birthday. We reserved a table because there is limited seating. When we arrived our table was set and she had lemon waters waiting. The owner was so warm and welcoming. She continued to check on us throughout the meal. The food was delicious. The portions are huge. My husband and I could have shared and probably still had leftovers. So happy to have D Thai so close to our home. We will be back! read more
