Pad See Ew with chicken and Thai Iced Tea
    Alexandra Y.

D'Thai is SO YUMMY! I love Thai food and try to taste it whenever I travel. This is a great locally owned Thai restaurant in Yakima. The owners are so nice and friendly and the food is really good and great portions! I favor the Pad See Ew (pictured), Pad Thai and my husband gets the yellow fried rice. The Thai Iced Tea (pictured also) is tasty too! Check them out! Support local.

This delightful little shop is located in the strip mall across from Walmart in WV. They took over for a pizza shop that unfortunately went out of business, but we were very excited for this as a replacement. It's run by a very nice couple who have done street food for quite some time. The seating for about a dozen people, and the food came out relatively quickly after we ordered. There are not a ton of offerings, to a food truck, but what they have was good. We very much enjoyed the pad Thai. The barbecue pork was probably the low point, but wasn't bad. Dumplings were solid, and they had some decent beverage options. The surprising star of the show, and something that we will absolutely be back for was the basil beef. This might be the best thing that I've tasted this year! It was very savory, not overly heavy and just plain good! It was like a hug from your Thai grandmother, and even if you don't have a Thai grandmother, you'll know what it would feel like to get a hug from her when you taste this! The prices were right around what we felt like we should pay for things, and we had a chance to talk with the owners before we left. They were incredibly nice and definitely excited about showcasing the food that they have. Overall, this is a really solid spot and one that is worth checking out!

Kind, fast customer service, clean atmosphere AND the best Thai food I've had in a very long time. And my mother-in-law was from Thailand so this was totally authentic. I highly recommend trying it out. I can't believe I waited this long. I live here in town! Will be going back for sure. Oh, I had the pod see ew w/chkn and crab ragoons with Thai iced tea.

Everything on the menu is $20. The seating was very uncomfortable and it was too cold in there. Not impressed, will never return.

As many who are close to me, already know, I have an affinity for delicious gas station food. Well,…read morethe spot is not technically inside of a gas station, it sits just outside, and therefore was the spot that I was immediately drawn to! This relatively brightly colored taco truck sitting outside of a Conoco station is serving some delicious food, including one of the, favorite takes on a classic that I've had in a long time. This unassuming little taco truck sells the standard tacos, tortas and burritos, but also has a couple more interesting items for purchase. The most interesting of which is the quesadillo- The masculine form of the childhood favorite is an absolute next level delight! The corn tortilla is thicc, with two C's! It's fluffy, warm and a little bit chewy, and beautifully contains all the wonderful mess that is the quesadillo! The grilled meat within and cheese that holds it together is delightful, but the real showstopper here is the layer of literally grilled cheese that is placed as a buffer between the shell and the meat. I'm not talking grilled cheese like the classic kid sandwich, I'm talking delicious cheese that is placed on a griddle, crisped on one side, and then placed on the tortilla-it's like a cheese pillow top for your lunch! I also ordered half a dozen tortillas for a couple other folks that had requested something, and I may have eaten one of the adobada tacos. The tacos were also quite good! Add in one of six or eight flavors of Jarito and you've got yourself a lunch fit for a King! in addition to the delicious food that is available here, he also has a number of trinkets and toys that are available for purchase. Truly a one stop shop! This is a spot you should definitely check out!

When we tried to contact them using the phone number on the Yelp website no one answered. We contacted Yelp/GrubHub and they told us that they would not provide a refund because the order was already being prepared. I would order every time except I want to try their curries. We went a second time hoping for curry, but the menu was Japanese focus and we ended up with Tonkotsu Ramen and Pork Katsu with Rice. Both were delicious. I hope to get the Mussaman Curry on a future visit and if it's a no go, it won't break my heart to order the Pad Thai. My only knock - The provided plastic forks and spoons are flimsy and there are no knives. We bring our own flatware and in the case of the Ramen, the table knife was a blessing to cut up the generous slices of meat. The provided ramen bowl does not bode well for cutting the meat and we used the inside lid of the potstickers for cutting. Please Aunty Jam's, keep coming to Bale Breakers!

There are truly no truer words than "We grow your beer" when it comes to the area. The Fresh Hop Ale Festival pays homage to the fact that hops generally make beer better and with the growing varieties of hops, it's unlikely that the festivities will stop anytime soon. The festival is held downtown in Millenium park where you and a few thousand of your closest friends can sample beer from 40 breweries from all over the country. For you non beer drinkers (like my best half), they've got a number of wineries that join forces and provide alternative libations. Food trucks, concerts, long lines for port-o-potties and plenty of conversations are all at your disposal from 5-10 pm. Cost runs around $45 and includes 4 drink tokens and a glass to take home to the kids! For $75 you can hang in the VIP tent and grab both a bigger glass and more food! Those tickets go quick so it's worth buying if you're thinking about it. Rated as one of the top 10 beer festivals in the country, it's well worth the trip across town or across the country!
