The first project was installing a floating entertainment system in my living room with the tv and speakers mounted & ensuring there were no wires visible. The 2nd project was repairing our custom closet shelf after it had collapsed. My husband said "this looks more flush than how it originally was." That should already tell you that they do amazing work. Communication is great, prices are even better, and quality of work is the cherry on top.

We've lived in our 1980s era home for nearly 20 years & our cave of a kitchen has always bothered…read moreus. There was a needless wall cutting off the space from the living room & a dropped ceiling with ugly florescent lighting, but no other structural reason for the dropped ceiling. We wanted to get rid of the wall & dropped ceiling & have a new ceiling in line with the rest of the living room. My husband toyed with the idea of doing it himself, but I was concerned with the electrical work (a switch needed to be moved from the eliminated wall, can lights & pendants installed). Several contractors never even returned our call asking for estimates; one came & gave a reasonable estimate, then called back & doubled his price. Paul came out, gave a reasonable estimate & said he could start the job the next week. He started demo work on Monday & the job was finished on Friday! And that included him bringing in other guys for drywall & finishing work on the new ceiling. We're going to finish off the work we can (painting & hanging new light fixtures) to save a little money, but we were thrilled with the work from Black Rock; would definitely call them again in the future!

My family hired this company to renovate our family cabin in 2021 and we had a terrible - what I…read morewould even characterize as dangerous - experience. The project involved numerous errors that required repeated corrections. Instead of being resolved promptly, it took approximately three years of ongoing communications, site visits, and repairs before many of the problems were addressed. The amount of time, stress, and effort required to get the work corrected was far beyond what I expected when hiring a licensed contractor who charged close to $180,000 for the renovation. Unfortunately, one tragic error we only just discovered one month ago: they evidently installed the dishwasher without first putting in the legally required air gap. The dishwasher, operating without an air gap, builds up with standing water, blockages, foul odors, lack of proper drainage, hazardous mold, and biofilm. Over the course of five years, significant mold contamination built up within the dishwasher as a result -- mold we were consuming on our plates, utensils and cups. We have since incurred substantial expenses for inspection, remediation, replacement, and medical evaluations. Several members of our family, including a child, have experienced health problems that we believe are related to prolonged mold exposure. As a mother, I cannot describe the fear and horror of discovering that your child has these terrible toxins built up in his body -- toxins that have neurological, immune, gastrointestinal, and other impacts -- because he has been consuming mold due to contractor negligence. This review reflects my personal experience. I encourage anyone considering this company to instead hire another one. My feeling is that the positive reviews listed on this account are owed to the previous owner, Paul Zarubin, who is no longer with the company, and hasn't been in over a decade. You will notice there haven't been any positive reviews in some time.

Lincoln helped to facilitate an artistic project in which sculptors from around the world sculpted 20 ton sculptures at Northstar. Mt. Lincoln was a joy to work with. In the process I got to know Paul Zarubin and Paul Combs, and their families, all of whom went above and beyond to manage many details. After my experience with Mt. We recently purchased carpet and had it installed by Precision Flooring. We found them friendly,…read moreknowledgeable and easy to work with and they assured us that installing carpeting in occupied homes when the owners weren't there was a specialty of theirs. We were surprised and disappointed when we returned to our home after the installation to find that they had stripped all the bedding (including bedskirts that were attached by velcro to the box springs) and stuffed it in corners or in a bathtub. Additionally they left a mess in the rooms where the carpet was installed as well as in other areas of the house. When we asked the owner, Rick, about the mess and the disregard for our belongings he responded that they weren't housekeepers. We have had carpet installed several times before and each time the installers cleaned up the mess they made and left our beds intact. While the carpet appears to have been installed well, I would not recommend this business and would not use them again.

Brian walked the house with me, was patient with all my questions and never once made me feel I was a pest even though I know I asked a lot of questions. He was always professional and always kind. Communicated with me regularly. Brian was a great first impression of the company and set the stage for everyone else I dealt with. He's very knowledgeable and always explained the next process. * They hadn't yet torn down their scaffolding that was around our entire house yet, so the window installers were happily using, then we had to evacuate due to fire and vendors were about ready to be blocked from entering our community. I called Brian to warn if he wants a guarantee his scaffolding didn't burn he should come get, he was more concerned about us and others. * Debra in accounting was kind and helpful and patient with a few questions I had for her * Stucco is a super super messy job, the workers were working is very hot temps (a week plus of heat wave), covered in stucco, worked very hard, yet always a good morning with a smile * Arturo was our foreman. He was just as wonderful as Brian, professional and kind. He too never made me feel like I was a pain with my questions and checked in with me regularly. Some days I'd get a text update from Brian and the same day I'd get the same update from Arturo. Great with communication. * They covered our driveway to protect it when they needed to start the messy process * I had some difficulty with 2 new pier mount lights that needed to be installed on top of our two 1/2 walls. Electrician said I need a cement guy, cement guys ghosted me, too small of a job I'm assuming. The entire stucco on house was done except those 2 half walls and Nevada Drywall Stucco & Stone had to come back out to finish, waiting for me to solve 1/2 walls patiently. Brian calls me, comes over, and comes up with a solution, they had it done in 2 days and looks better than I could have imagined. Instead of charging extra for having to wait on me for a month to come back (or come back at all), Brian suggested I pay the bid of the house, but withhold 2K, then pay balance after walls were done. They didn't even charge me for their solution for the lights. Impressive and rarely seen nowadays. * The stucco looks great, and they matched the original stucco color. * Just a last silly mention. Every day there were many stucco workers, one would sing loud and happy every day. It always brought a smile to my face. How nice it is to hear happy singing vs complaining, and I wouldn't blame them a bit if I heard complaining, (hot and messy profession) but not once did I. They of course are licensed with the Nevada Contractors Board and insured. They are great team players as well. We were getting a new roof and windows as well. There's a certain process that needs to be done and that meant sometimes the companies were working the same day. Never was there a complaint, a matter of fact, Brian and Arturo would keep me posted and made suggestions. Thank you Brian, Arturo, the very hard working stucco guys and Debra. It was a pleasure working with you all.
