A manipulative operation. Seemingly nice on the surface initially but kept trying to get a signed contract from me before they would commit to a work start date. They strung me along for over a week saying they'd let me know while claiming they were crazy busy and eventually that they couldn't commit until I committed. Very unprofessional operation, impossible to get on the phone, errant texts, and long winded emails. Pass on these guys if you're discerning and don't want to be put on the backburner while they look for suckers. read more

We paid a premium to support a local business and work with Precision. This was a mistake. The owners Rick and Marcus refuse to take any responsibility if something goes wrong on your project. We paid $30K (1400 sq ft of engineered hardwood), and dozens of planks cracked end-to-end within 6 months of install. We tried every diplomatic route to resolve this, with no luck. We recently hired Precision Flooring Services to replace the carpet in the common areas with deluxe vinyl floors. Getting the estimates from Rick was super easy and straight forward. He was also able to placed the order directly from the manufacture right away. Gabriel was our lead installer. He promptly assessed the floors and texted me for clarifications (since we were not at the place during the installation). He and his crew did a great job installing the floors, making adjustments as needed. It looks so much better than the carpet. Gabriel is very diligent, hardworking and goes the extra miles to make sure customer is 100% satisfied. He came back a couple more times to fix the baseboards in a few tricky areas and also fixed a carpet border in a bedroom which is not in the scope of work. We had Precision Flooring provide our contractor with carpet and flooring for a cabin remodel. Communication throughout the quoting exercise was great, although there were a couple of hidden charges that we went back-and-forth on. The actual amount of carpet and flooring ordered by their estimator was significantly in excess of what we needed, but after some discussion the company owned their mistake and took back the excess material (which is definitely not the typical practice for carpet...). Some hiccups along the way, but a generally constructive experience and it's nice to be able to give business to a local, family-owned outfit. I'd give them my business again. read more

My husband and I did a large addition on our home in Tahoe City last year. We wanted to give our business to someone local rather than going to the big box stores in Reno. We found Precision floors through yelp. From our first time in the store, they were welcoming and professional. We took home samples and placed our order. They weren't the cheapest option but I'm so glad we choose them. They were patient with us with install dates because we were running way behind schedule. Install day came and we had a slight issue with the nosing color not matching the stairs. We reached out and they worked with us to try and find a match to our liking. Things moved slow but Marcus kept us updated on the process of replacing the nosings. Cody the installer was nice and professional. I cannot express my gratitude on the way they handled the correction. We will definitely be a repeat customer when the time comes to replace the rest of the house. read more

I was also doing a remodel of the kitchen and the team worked with me to coordinate timing over an extended period. ABSOLUTLEY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I wish I could give 0 stars. ***UPDATE*** Yet another lie from Precision! Very much so in business with Scott construction. ***RESPONSE TO BELOW COMMENT FROM BUSINESS OWNER**** Well, I also have never left a review before, but after being treated with such disrespect, I felt the need to share my experience. If you read the other reviews you can see i'm not the first person to experience horrible customer service from them. After my initial phone call to follow up for the SIXTH time, I left this review to share my experience. Rick then called me back and told me to take down the review because they had sent a quote, which I have never seen. In our previous call, Rick and Marcus, in a very rude manner told me "they had never heard of me" and that I was "full of it". Which proves my point of their dishonesty and horrible customer service! They obviously had heard of me and i've had multiple conversations with Marcus or else this quote they claim to have sent wouldn't exist! How can you claim to have never heard of someone and then call them back to say you already sent the quote, makes absolutely no sense! I went through my call logs to confirm and this was in fact the sixth time calling them, so absolutely not an exaggeration, AT ALL. I was told on all previous calls before today that I would have the quote by the end of the day, which never happened. I was also told on the last few calls that they were no longer working with their sub-contracted flooring team and that they were trying to lock someone else down. I understand the demand this year is very high and I was very patient with them throughout this whole process until today when I was treated in an extremely rude manner and told "they had never heard of me" which obviously is not the case or else there wouldn't be a quote to send! On the call I received from Rick asking to take down the review, I was again treated horribly. You would think they would of realized they made a mistake and tried to apologize for claiming to have never heard of me, but instead was scolded, again. I was far from "unruly" on our phone call and in fact it was the other way around. I admit I was frustrated after being told "they never heard of me" and "I was full of it", who wouldn't, but I still spoke with respect and tried to get more details on how this was possible but was hung up on by the owner, Rick. Their claim that I called in with a "major attitude" is just not true. I started the conversation by politely telling them my name and my service address, so their comment about the caller id is completely irrelevant, as I had given them all my info to look up. They obviously did not listen to anything I said in the beginning of the call or take the time to try and look anything up! Instead, I was told they were buried in quotes and are still "digging out from this winter". I then responded again with my name and address and said this was my sixth time calling, which was then followed up by Rick throwing out insults over the phone. My point about luring people in was that, initially, when I started this process I was told you had availability to do my floors. BUT, after my third call to you guys, I was told that you were looking for a team to be able to do this. So why tell a customer you can do the work, when in fact, you don't the capacity to do so? Yes, Greg went in to your shop very early on, which he told me about, and was told you were working on a quote. That's fine I understand these things take time, but after following up multiple times and being told I would receive the quote by the end of the day and never receiving it is a different story. The amount of time that was wasted on this process was devastating to my repair needs, because I now have to start this process over with a new company. I wish I would of picked up on all the signs of a dishonest company early on and not have wasted this time, but as you said, I'll take this as a learning experience. I wish you the best and hope you can learn from your mistakes. Terrible customer service! I was barely acknowledged when I walked in the store. I let them know the details of my project and even filled out their contact form. I asked if they could come out to my home the next day to measure for a quote and was told yes, I would receive a call in the afternoon. I waited all afternoon and no call. We have had Precision Flooring do 4 bedrooms (on 2 separate orders) in the last year and had an excellent experience. The price of carpet was highly competitive, customer service with several calls/visits/emails was very responsive and informative and the ultimate installation and removal of old carpeting was great with full service including furniture moving/taking apart beds and reassembling. On the second order more recently, to do 3 bedrooms following water damage from a roof that leaked, they hit our timetable with weeks to spare on ordering and installation since we have renters starting in June. Additionally, as a second home, we gave them full access without us being there and they got the jobs done flawlessly and left the place spotless. You can't go wrong using Precision Flooring! The team at Precision Flooring is amazing. The floors of the dream home we purchased needed some updating. We wanted new carpet throughout and to add hardwood flooring in the hall and one of the carpeted rooms. They helped us choose a beautiful carpet to give our home a modern mountain feel. When it came time to select the hardwood, we needed to match as closely as possible to hardwood that was no longer in production. To our surprise, they provided a couple of choices. What we selected was a perfect match. They measured, ordered and kept us updated on the progress of the materials. When the time came, they sent a team to take out the old flooring and begin installation of the new. The team they sent were incredibly meticulous, careful, always cleaning up as they went along the process. I bought new luxury vinyl flooring from Precision Flooring in December and I love love love the beautiful rustic appearing floors they installed! The installers were professional, neat, polite, and skilled - they made sure that invisible spots under the kitchen counters were as beautifully finished as the rest of the house. They took extra care to design a step down into the sunroom. The vinyl I bought is called dockside sand and it has a bit of a rustic beach look to it, which completed the changes I've made to the rest of my house (built in 1898). I chose the luxury vinyl because it requires zero maintenance and can withstand standing water, and with all the snow storms, and dog traffic in my house, it's a relief to have worry-free, tough, and gorgeous floors! read more

Precision Flooring installed carpet and blinds in an older home I recently remodeled. The carpet install was perfect, and they even went out of their way to find a particular carpet I was looking for. When I needed to have them come back to re-tuck the carpet in the door jams after more remodeling work, they were right on the job. My experience with the installation of new blinds throughout the house was equally as superb. The knowledge and experience of Sarah and her staff at Precision Flooring was wonderful to work with. Being a new homeowner and needing both new carpets and window coverings I stopped in for advise and to see what was out there. The variety of products they carry and the product knowledge can't be beat. I've learned the differences in floorings and carpets, care instructions, some of the upsell things that larger box stores say and do and if there's really a difference and trust me education is key because there is a difference! After spending well over and hour looking at blinds they offered to have a consultant come by in the next day or two and bring all the books so we could actually see what it would look like in our own space.
