I had my dog (very small 7lb. Papillon/Chihuahua mix) stay here in the morning until afternoon. At first she was shaking she was so nervous, and was barking non stop at the front desk person. My dog is one of the friendlist, loving, attention seeking dogs. If she's barking at someone, something is usually off. We tried warming her up with some treats, but she was still barking. I had a doctors appt I couldn't miss, so I trusted them with her for a day, and when I called to check on her, they said she had fit right in and was already manipulating the staff to get picked up and held. I came back and she seemed part of the pack. I was a little surprised at the size of some of the dogs in the "Small dog" area. Pretty big. Overall I think they are good here. I will have to come back and try D Pet again when I visit Scottsdale. The photo of the dogs in the enclosure is kind of hilarious. read more

I had my pups booked at another facility for a 9 day boarding stay, and two days before I left for my trip I had a feeling that I needed to find another kennel. I called D Pet in Arcadia and spoke with Jesse. He was so kind and nice from the moment he picked up the phone. He told me that they had room for my pups, but we had to move quickly to get all the vaccine paperwork, and do the meet & greet in a two day time period. Jesse called my vet offices, and had the information sent over, and we did the meet & greet the day before my trip. From the first time walking in to D Pet Arcadia, every single staff member was welcoming, nice, caring, and you could tell they all loved their job. I have not ever boarded my fur babies before this and was extremely nervous and had a ton of anxiety. They were very attentive to the pups feeding schedule, and their sleep schedule. They will feed your pups the same way and on the same schedule you have at home. Every morning like clockwork, I would receive an email with a short paragraph about the pups day and night, how they were eating, and attached several pictures of my babies. I was able to enjoy my trip, and I did not have any anxiety leaving them in the care of these awesome people! I just picked them up, they are not dirty, they are not sick, they are both happy, and you can tell that the care they received was from people who love them as if they were their own!! I highly recommend this hotel for your day care or boarding needs. Thank you so much for taking care of Sadie and Ryder! Needed a haircut and bath for my dog. The weather was getting warmer, so it was a popular time, and no other groomers were taking new people. I was getting frustrated and called them off Yelp. The receptionist was kind and helpful, getting me in the next day. Took the dog there and met the groomer, a real dog person. Was a little skeptical at first about the place but went in on a whim while getting a bagel next door. Was thoroughly vetted by Tony in the facility even though I did not have an appointment. He was gracious to give me the full tour and explain everything in detail. I came Back the same afternoon to have my doodle take the temperament test which she passed with flying colors. We have had her at other day fate facility's which we noticed she didn't interact with the other dogs as well as she did here. What mattered to me is that she felt comfortable in the environment. Fantastic, perfect experience. My regular boarding facility has slowly gone downhill over the past couple of years and I no longer felt safe leaving my dogs there. I get nervous when I have to board them. Luckily I found this business on Yelp and went to check it out. It's a bright, clean, modern facility and the employees are very helpful. My dogs do not get along with each other or any other dogs and they had their own 'room' and got free time alone out of the cage daily. I got daily emails with photos and a little message and it always made me smile. I felt 100% confident they were in great hands. On the day of pick up, their bedding had been WASHED (!) And the dogs had been brushed and smelled good! Usually I have to rush home and wash dogs and bedding so this was wonderful. I would recommend this business to anyone!! read more

This was my first time boarding my two dogs, and I am happy with the choice we made to go with D Pet Hotels Arcadia! The staff was very informative when we were looking at places, and I was glad we could take a tour beforehand. We were going to be out of town for 10 days, and this place definitely put my mind at ease. It also made me more comfortable that this place is staffed 24/7. I loved getting the photo updates every day. The location is also very convenient to the airport, which was great for us to swing by to pick them up on our way home. Having a good experience here, I've used boarding, daycare and grooming for my dog Diznee. The employees are friendly and the place is well kept. The only thing I wish they had is camera views for when you drop your dog off at the daycare or even if they had it for just the suite they stay in for boarding. However It was nice they sent me pictures each day he stayed as that was a concern before I left. read more

Just had the most bizarre experience with Anna - I usually use the Scottsdale location however my dog caught Kennel Cough and I wasn't happy with the way the staff handled the matter so i I figured I'd try out this location due to the glowing reviews. Called and explained to Anna the experience I had and inquired on their processes - she was very apologetic about the situation and offered to research - I thought that was very nice of her however I explained to her I had already spoken to the owner Tony and wasn't looking for a resolution more so just wanted to know their sanitation precautions and communication when a pet becomes ill- she began to explain you can't prevent KC just like the flu - advised totally understand that reason I'm asking about processes - she became very defensive and said she's trying to help and resolve but not letting-I was shocked I said I mm am not looking for a resolution just inquiring about processes - she became very emotional and hung up - very confusing - called back and asked why she hung up I'm asking about the processes of how they notify either by text email phone she stated normally yes - I thanked her and asked about sanitation which she did explain- she then stated she's not sure what happened or why I wasn't notified and is trying to assist but not allowing she didn't have to take the abuse or be yelled at - she stated "I'm not beneath you" then hung up - so yeah very weird encounter- called the Scottsdale location spoke to Jesse advised was trying to give them a second try but this does not make me feel comfy Monte would be safe in such an unstable emotional environment-Jesse was very understanding and stated would address - just very disappointing read more

Super happy about the great grooming job they did on my very first doggy, Pupu (mini poodle). It was an urgent situation. I had just adopted him from the Maricopa pound and his fur was way too long and matted... probably extremely uncomfortable for him. I just needed to get him trimmed up ASAP, but I was having a hard time finding any groomer who would take him on quickly enough.... or who would even respond quickly enough. But, they were able to schedule him within 24 hours. I was very impressed that they checked his vet records first (to confirm health and vaccinations). My husband and I had to go out of town and at the last minute our dog sitters had to cancel. Our 10 year old rescue pittie has separation anxiety to begin with and we have never boarded him before so mom here was a little nervous. These guys were awesome. They gave us daily updates on our boy and they were able to accommodate for him if there were other dogs around (he's been attacked in the past so great with people just not with other dogs) so he could get his play time in. We dropped our 6 month old puppy off at the hotel for 2 days/nights and she absolutely LOVED IT there! D Pet Hotels Staff, Arcadia had the sweetest staff who welcomed us right off the bat. From the initial phone call to the emailing regarding our dog; they were responsive and very friendly.
