My correspondence with Jackie their office support was fantastic comparing against others. She was quick on email and I had an appt booked for an estimate within a week or two as it was spring and the weather was getting nice. Joey showed up, took a video, and I had my estimate in hand in a day. He listened to exactly the look and product I wanted used. It was not an easy cookie cutter patio. Their price was in line with the other 3 estimates I got back for the same project. The project started fast because it was going to be a 4 day job so they fit it into a slot of space they had. Within another week or two they had the crew come excavate my backyard patio area and demo my walkway that was concrete and needing replacement. The excavating team was about 5-6 guys and they worked quick to go deep for the patio. Next day they were installing the paver I chose which was a Unilock Copthorne paver. It had to be hand blended and I wanted a herringbone pattern. The backyard patio was a 90 degree herringbone and the walkway was a 45 degree herringbone. Both came out fantastic. His guys were so good especially the ones they are blending and wet sawing all the edges. They work so well together and their team is really professional. I would highly recommend them for your backyard needs like patios, walkways, bbq, fire pits, hardscaping etc.

Originally, I thought patching the inside of the basement would suffice. I found Complete Paving & Masonry on Yelp, and reached out; Jerry responded very quickly and was able to come by to provide a visual inspection and a quote. He recommended that work needs to be done on the outside in order to fix the inside. We took a walk around the outside and he provided points of what work needed to be done. Essentially, he recommended to dig up the dirt around the foundation; patch and seal the foundation; put in some gravel and then cover it up with dirt. This would help prevent water from leaking through the foundation into the basement/garage. After conversing with my fellow condo neighbor, we hired Jerry's team to do the work. Within a week, they were able to come on site and start the work. It took them 4 days to do the work (original quote was 3-5 days). Jerry and his team did a magnificent job. They went above and beyond the original estimate's work at no extra charge to improve the water flow surrounding the condo. They also did some additional patch work on the outside of the condo. When the job was completed, Jerry walked me through everything his team did and why it was done, so I was able to understand the reason for the work. Jerry is friendly, honest, and provides top notch service. I highly recommend his team for any mason work.

"I have to hire a contractor for XYZ", schedule site visits, get quotes, follow up questions.... by the time you've had 6 companies come to your house, you just want it over with. Last year we started our adventure of getting a new fence installed. I called the "big 2" fence companies in the area (you know who they are). I had to re-read the quotes several times. Simple 6ft vinyl/PVC grey fence with post caps and spring hinged latching gate. I asked "would the fence be gold plated? or does this price include the rest of the neighborhood?" Niether thought I was funny. Late winter this year (2026) we decided to contact medium size/ more local companies. Every estimator we met was personable and knowledgeable. But Fabio from Fence 101 (owner) came prepared with samples, booklets, and the most important thing.... time. He and I walked around my yard, assessed what I had, gave suggestions, showed me options, discussed materials and we talked about family/kids etc. It was like talking to that new person you meet, that you immediately have repour with. He is really a quality gentleman. (I have a Gibbs gut that says so). All the quotes we received this year were within a hundred bucks or so of eachother. Price was not the major factor in our decision to hire F101, but their price the most economical and competitive. The install crew arrived when they were scheduled and worked ALL day; of both two days. They didn't bang out at 2pm like most contractors, these guys were gettin' it done. When I asked them questions about panels, post depth, wind resistance, yadda yadda, they stopped working, took the time to fully answer my queries and were happy to engage. These guys were hard working, strong, accurate and respectful of my small piece of the world. And they were having fun. In two days 95% of the job was complete. The gate and post tops came on a separate order. The gate arrived at Fabio's shop the wrong color. He contacted me right away, and informed me he already had the correct color on order. It was being delivered the next day and would be installed ASAP ... on a SATURDAY! SATURDAY? Really? I was impressed. Fabio himself and (what I believed to be) his lead field person, installed the post caps and gate before I got home from grocery shopping. (my wife being away on a trip) They had it complete by 10:30 AM. Boom! It was done. Seriously 5 stars . When the Queen returned she was blown away! She was stunned as to how awesome it looked. Fence 101 asks for half down deposit, which more than resonible. They have a bunch of colors available with different posts caps and hardware. Materials are USA local NY. Price includes install and material warranty. They also took my 40 year old stockade fence down for recycling. Fabio followed up with us after the job to make sure there were no issues. As far as pricing, he was very competitive vs the company we went with, priced about the same on some items and as much as 20% cheaper on others. I would have no hesitancy using him in the future. Candido and his colleague recently established proper drainage around a corner of the house where…read morewater was getting into the foundation and the basement. In his initial assessment, Candido identified all areas which were contributing to the problem and explained what he would do and why (every contractor should do this but it doesn't always happen). He also identified an area contributing to ingress of water to the house that two other contractors missed. His estimate was extremely fair (one contractor quoted a total of $24k for the same solutions). The work was started within days of agreement on the scope of work and it was completed within 1.5 days. Work included excavating and installation of a dry well, regrading and relaying a stone path, and partial repaving of the driveway. He and his colleague even cleared a gutter and replaced and repitched some existing drainage on the side of the house. No trash or mess was left behind after the work was done. It's been a few weeks since the installation and repairs and am relieved to see no water coming into the basement even after several downpours and no damp basement walls. I'm happy we went with Candido and would gladly work with him again on another project.
