i love this place but I got my nails done for 100 dollars and I'm a teenager that is way too expensive for my taste

If you're someone who is particular about the nails you get DO NOT go here. Me and my sister went here instead of our normal nail spot just to try it cause we heard good things about this place and spent almost $200 for them to not be like the photos, we then went back to get them fixed to be told we shouldn't come back next time and talked down to us when we wanted them fixed saying we're "so picky" when we just want our nails to look like the photos we picked. They have bad customer service and they don't fix or touch your cuticles, in fact my pinky cuticle is cut a little. I would not recommend this nail place at all. read more

We were in Rapid City visiting family. We were really desiring a pedicure as all of our state's nail salons are closed due to Covid. D's nails was a pleasing experience. We called and made an appointment for 3 pedicures and ended up adding a manicure and an eyebrow wax. The facility was clean and fresh looking. The pedicure was great. I would say a longer massage for the price would've been nice. But overall we were all pleased !!! read more

It could have been a good salon, but the guy in charge doesn't know how to delegate, so he wants to do nails, answer the phones, make appointments WHILE at the same time he is doing your nails!! So guess what happens when someone wants to do it ALL at the same time? Exactly something gets messed up, because one person CANNOT do it all at the same time!! So as a result he'd cut three of my fingers. So thank you, but NO thank you, never again!! Besides that, one of the girls who do the pedi, doesn't want to clean the skin/cuticle, "because you have too much skin!!" Really!?! You should give me the discount for a half of the job done!! At first I thought this would be a nice place to get our nails done quick. The reviews have been good. However, I was highly dissatisfied when we left. We each got shellac pedicures. I got a shellac fill and my sister got just a regular shellac manicure. Each of our totals were an overpriced $90. We left annoyed and then it was find until today when we realized the black she asked for is actually blue. And my nails have already chipped. I have been getting my nails done for years now and haven't done much since last night. So for them to chip this quickly, with the price we paid, is ridiculous. I don't get my nails done a lot, but when I do, I usually come here, but not anymore. The guy today acted mad that I was getting dips. He was very, very rough. I had a sore hangnail on my thumb and he kept filing it and causing a lot of pain where I had to jerk my hand away despite telling him over and over it was painful. Also $60 for dips. Left him 10% so I hope he gets the message. I won't go back. I also think their tools are dirty. His tools were in a box with nail residue all over. Yuck! read more

Just happened to see this place out shopping and decided to check it out for a pedicure. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lots and lots of polish options and multiple types of pedicures. I got the organic pedicure with the paraffin. You get to choose which scent of foot scrub also. I picked mango and lavender. The smell was wonderful! My nail tech took his time and was very thorough. overpriced and when I asked them to break down the price they added services I didn't ask for /want we started at $54 for an acrylic FILL IN no broken nails & i ended up paying $36 because i questioned it. i wasn't rude at all but after that They were annoyed & made me switch nail techs, and rushed through my nails, skipped a nail then got even more annoyed when i pointed it out. There are a few places in town that I trust to work on my nails. And this place is one of the top ones. The employees there are all very nice. Sometimes you have to be the first one to start up a conversation, but I don't really mind that. I got my nails done today by Jacob and he did an amazing job. He was very nice, asked me if I needed anything to drink before we started, kept up a conversation, and made sure I was satisfied. The atmosphere isn't overly noisy, they have music playing which I prefer. I would rather have it be loud in a nail salon than dead silent. Jacob noticed that the previous nail salon I went to didn't do a good job on my nails, because there was air bubbles in the acrylic part of my nails and took of the ones with the air bubbles and redid them for me! Something I would've never noticed. But air bubbles can cause nail fungus. So thank you Jacob!! read more

I went in there to get a pedicure today without an appointment. They said they had availability. I went to the chair and waited at least 15-20 minutes. I was about to leave. someone finally came and turned the water on etc. a walk client comes in for a nail fill while I was waiting. 2 clients leave and one employee goes to the back. another employee started on the girls nails who literally just walked in. I ask how long it's going to be for me and they say a few minutes. I stated I have been waiting for more time than the girl that just walked in. nevertheless I wait a little longer and nothing. I get up to leave and the employee who started on the girls nails who just walked in comes up to me and says he can do my pedicure but claims he doesn't normally do pedicures. I said I am fine and proceed to leave . he continuously asks if I am mad and I say I'm fine while walking out the door with wet feet and a horrible experience. I was told to come in to my old to come in to my they had room right away when and got my pedicure done but then they wanted me to wait even longer to get my nails done. I had to be somewhere but I have to wait even longer when I was told I can get in right away then then they had me overpay Pedicure with a gel a gel Polish and then charge me $15 for shellack so I paid for the net Polish and is it Polish and a $45 pedicure. Now I'm gonna have to go and get my nails filled somewhere else and haven't changed a Polish on my toes to make them match. I should not have to be wasting double the amount of time and double the money for this unacceptable if you tell people you have No waiting you should be having someone ray when you know they're gonna do a film. Got my nails done, 54$ for an acrylic set, and the total price came up to 91$! And the woman who did my nails was rude, put nail polish remover all the way up to my second knuckle so fingers are dry! I said I wanted coffin nails twice, and she gave my square nails so they looked like a box. I had to address for a third time that they weren't the shape I wanted, and she gave me attitude and called another girl over, and she also disaggregated with me until I finally got them to make my nails the shape I wanted. Went to this salon because it was the only one who could do my sisters entire wedding party in one appointment. My sister was in charge of colors and what we were doing with our nails. My sisters nails were not what she wanted and when they learned of this, they offered to fix it, however at the same time telling her that she was making the other appointments late. The next day, I woke up to my big toes being red, swollen and painful. That was on June 29th, to this day, I still have an infected toe, I have lost all of the skin on it and it is still painful to the touch. Will never return to this establishment. read more

Shout out to Jacob at Dnails. 3 hours for a fill because he couldn't finish what he started and pushed me off to his boss. She complained about him to the other employees the whole time she was reshaping and filing his mess. Two months later and this is what happened from his carelessness. Due to powder he slapped on and made a huge mess out of the acrylic on me, my nails and his nail table. They had the audacity to charge me $65! They are so unprofessional and overpriced. Just moved here to Rapid City and trying to find a good nail place for my toes. I found this place and the people were nice. But, there were a few red flags for me... First, they don't put in a liner in the foot bath, so not sure if it's clean. Second, I'm not sure if the tools they use are sterilized or clean, which can cause infections. Third, the person who did my toes pulled a huge hang nail from my big toe and it was bleeding a lot. It hurt like a b****!! Then to pour acetone on my toes made it feel worse and burn. The guy who worked on me was very unfriendly and didn't even know what kind of gel nail was on my nails. He put acrylic on my nails then painted them with gel polish and called it gel nails. This experience here was pure DISSATISFACTION and DISAPPOINTING! I came in with the simple request of taking off my set of dip powder nails with tips as well (keep in mind, we had made appointments beforehand for 4:00 pm). Came in and they immediately seated us and asked me if i wanted a new set and I replied with "no, i just want them taken off completely with just a clear coat of regular polish please". Well for some reason this was some sort of commotion for them and they had moved me from seat to seat three different times and had already started on my friends nails while i'm sitting in a ROLLER CHAIR next to one of them. It was 4:45 before they had even touched my nails and that was because i had mentioned that we all came in together four appointments at 4:00. The lady doing one of my friends nails then stopped in the middle of her manicure just to literally rip my nails off my nail bed leaving me with the thinnest nails. Considering that I live in texas, I don't recall ever having my dip powder or even acrylic nails ripped off. A licensed esthetician would then soak the nail off with acetone and the file the remaining nail away. I have not seen one documented licensing paper nor A F*CKING CLEAN SET OF NAIL TOOLS. Everything is so unorganized and obnoxious. Do not waste your time nor money on this disgrace of a place for the nail techs to just be rude, oblivious and never attentive. read more

They got me in right away and the service was excellent! I cannot remember the name of the lovely lady who took care of me but she was really friendly and we had great conversation! I asked for dip nails and they are still going strong! She did an amazing job! I am only visiting but I would definitely see her regularly if I lived in Rapid!!! The only downfall is the price, ouch. I had a pedicure at D Nails yesterday. First of all, the technician was not at all friendly and did not offer me anything to drink. I'm having surgery next week so needed the polish removed, and couldn't have any new polish applied so I chose the basic pedicure for $35. As soon as I told the technician I wanted the basic, she said I would to pay an additional $5 to have my polish removed because it was gel. I have never been charged extra to remove polish, and I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely. I will never go back. Connie read more

I thought the woman who help me was rude and would rather me not get anything done if I didn't want to get what she suggested. The last time I was there someone recommended getting a dip nail treatment for an additional $10 compared to a gel manicure which I got to try and thought it was nice. I've been coming here for 6 months now. They always get me in when I call ahead and I generally don't wait more than a few minutes at the salon. They are average priced for the market and some of the ladies do an excellent job. I've had dip and gel here and been pleased with both. This place will over charge you as much as they can and argue it with you. I went in for an acrylic fill and left with a bill over $60. I asked them to cut my cuticles and they charged me for a full manicure on top of my fill. When I asked why they charged me for a full manicure they said because he used a bowl of water to soak my fingers.... then told me to just tell him I need my cuticles cut instead of a manicure next time. I explained to her that's exactly what I told him and she kept a arguing and explaining to me that I need to say that next time. All he did was soak my fingers and cut my cuticles. It wasn't even a manicure!! Here's what's even worse they charged me per hand for the manicure!! Please save yourself and your money for a better salon.
