I'm attending a wedding tomorrow the 8th and I wanted to get my nails done so my husband and I asked around and this place was recommended. I usually get my nails done at Paris nails but we were closer to this location. My husband made the reservation for me and we were greeted by a friendly face and I was asked to sit at the first table. The nail tech-Andy- was very kind and welcomed chat, which other nail techs have refused in the past. We talked about our day and how we were both handling the pandemic. He made sure to pay close attention to details on my fingers and made sure to do exactly what I asked with length and style. My husband left to check out a local store but when he came back the nail tech joked with him about "what color" he was choosing, and told him he was welcome to sit next to me if he wanted. Overall I believe I will be choosing this salon next time I need my nails done. read more

10/10 don't recommend. The whole time I was getting my nails done, she talked about how my previous nail tech ( I'm visiting from AZ) has no idea what she's doing. I told her what I wanted and I had to change my mind 3 times because she didn't want to tell me I needed a new set (which I gladly would of done for the set I wanted) until we were half way through... and she "didn't know what the hell to do" with my nails in the first place apparently. I had to dispute with my bank because a refund was refused. Only 50% was offered- absolutely ridiculous. I paid almost $70. Go somewhere else to get your nails done!!! read more

this is the worst nail salon I've ever been too! I came in with long nails ! asking for a small cut down and a fill and a pedicure the person who did my nails ended up changing the shape so bad that I had to have the nails cut all the way down then he couldn't draw a deep French tip but charged for deep French tip and the French tip was not done correctly super lop sided different sizes just a horrible mess and still charged full price for something I did not want . The nails are horrible , they offered everyone else in the salon drinks and offered me nothing they treated me unfair and unkind maybe because of my race , not sure but the rudeness I received was ridiculous so I paid because I didn't want to be considered "trying to get out of paying" but I literally paid 60 for nails I didn't not want that are a size I did not want . then at the end told me "we cant do exactly what you want" ok well then you should say that and give me the chance to leave !! I think I can actually say that I just had the worst manicure of my life. We are just traveling thru Rapid City. My husband and I stopped to get a mani/pedi. I asked for my nails to just be buffed and cleaned up. She put on the buffing polish and didn't buff out the nails. The bill was $185 not including tip. No polish on my husband and no polish on my fingers and gel on my toes. Seems excessive. I wouldn't care if they had done a quality job. My husband was having to reclip his nails because his gal left craggy edges. I sometimes wonder if you say you are from out of town, they don't give you quality work because you won't be back. I made an appointment for a soak off and gel manicure. When I arrived, I realized they did a dip manicure, which I had been wanting to try. I chose my color from the dip book and showed my tech. We had a miscommunication because he did a gel manicure. It was the BEST gel manicure I have ever gotten. He took so much time trimming, shaping and prepping my nails. It lasted 3 weeks and still wasn't peeling away, just growing out. I was just visiting the area so I did not get his name but it was a man and not the owner, who was out that day. I went in with busted dry chewed down numbs and my dogs were howling. Seriously! I came out with self respect and knew I was livin that Best Life! Now im waving my hands everywhere and working out like a champ. Its amazing how good it feels to look good. Jenny is the BEST nail tech. BEN did a perfect pedicure. Only thing in South Dakota it costs like 85.00 for both!! but the quality was top notch. And the prices run like that everywhere for a full set and a pedi. I've lived in rapid city for over a year now and I've gone to just about every nail salon here. I've jumped around from salon to salon trying to find one that offers good service, clean tools and a fair price. I've gone back to this salon time and time again without being disappointed. This is the only salon in Rapid I have seen get new clean tools for every customer. For the past month now I've been coming back and I get a new person every time and always get the same quality service and results. I got a pedicure today by Erica. She made polite conversation with me & was very sweet. She did a really good job on my toes and took her time giving my legs a massage. Classic nails...pedicure experience...first...I sat down and the water you put your feet in was FREEZING cold, so they drained it and went with the complete opposite...scalding hot. Literally almost couldn't stand to put my feet in because it was giving me third degree burns...but I toughed it out because I ain't no B. Then she proceeds to give me a metal sliver on my foot with the scrubby thing, I showed it to her and she says "you're fine" THEN...she gets these bags full of liquid lava and has me stick my feet in them...almost cried. But again, I ain't no B so I did my best not to shed any tears while the first two layers of my skin melted off. And I know the whole time she was talking smack to the lady next to her. My friend had her nails filled here and 1 finger fixed and had the marble collection and they charged her $56.45. I loved them so I went there...I had a fill with no nail fixed with the marble collection and it was like $53 just for my fingernails...the guy there did such a shitty job on the fill! My nails are super thick and uneven and I hate them! (I love the marble polish though) I had the polish removed from my toes for $5 and painted with the same marble collection and they charged me $45 NO PEDICURE NO NOTHING ELSE! So when I was all done my bill was $104 and some change. RIDICULOUS! Don't waste your money going here and if you do decide to give them a try good luck! read more

I have been to Classic Nails on two different occasions (today and about two years ago). I got deluxe spa pedicures both times. I enjoyed the experience -- it's not a really fancy shop but I felt like I had good service. Both people who have worked on my feet were friendly and hard workers. I get nervous that when I walk in somewhere like this without an appointment that I will be rushed through - not the case either time. I would go back and I recommend this place. read more

I had my nails and toes done on October 8th. Very disappointed. My toes look like they had grown out for a week or more and the entire toenails were not painted. In addition, I had to go home and file my heals as they were not done well. The same man started to do my nails. I asked for ombré and explained numerous times what I wanted. After many attempts to explain and him not knowing how to do it, another employee took over. She however seemed annoyed and did a very sloppy job. I always love coming here! No matter who does my nails, they do great. I usually only get a pedi and eyebrow wax, but ended up getting a mani as well tonight. I got the deluxe pedi, nice massage and wax on the feet as well as a hot towel. With my mani, I went with a gel/shellack. I think I either. Bumped my thumb or the gal bumped it and my polish wrinkled, she immediately took the polish off my thumb and redid it no issues at all. Nail polish wore very well and lasted longer than other places I have used. Love the foot wax treatment so relaxing! Tuyet was very personable and did such a great job!!! I came in just an hour before closing and they got me in right away with no wait even though the salon was busy. My nails were such a mess with acrylic nails broken and peeled off. My nails are weak from years of acrylic wear. She dipped me even though I told her nothing works on me. I have tried dipped before but they only used 2-3 coats. Tuyet was not conservative with product use she used as much as she needed to get the desired result. I was just passing through. Don't go with a group - they do NOT accommodate! I made an appointment for two so that my friend and I could get our nails done and chit chat. It was something I was looking forward to - a fun chance to pamper ourselves and reconnect. I got there before my friend. I told them that I was one of the two people with a 3:00 appointment under my name. There were two seats at the end of the counter. They told me to sit in one and pick out a color. A few minutes later, (as one tech was starting to prepare my nails,) my friend walked in. The guy greeted her and I quickly interjected that this was my friend and pointed at the empty seat. He told her no - she had to sit at number 7. I said, "But I made the appointment for two together...." He said that she would sit at 7 and she would later move down to the empty seat when her old polish was off. Of course, soon after this promise, another woman walks in. Seriously just two or three minutes had passed since his promise. Well, she says she wants her nails done. He sits her in the empty seat near me. I just couldn't believe it! And she had dipped nails that needed to be removed, too - just as my friend had had. It was unbelievable! The guy seemed to be on a bit of a power trip - kept walking behind the techs and watching them - but didn't care that our trip to the salon for a bit of pampering and girl talk was ruined. It's now Thursday and my finer nails are destroyed. 4 nails chipped off completely and had to take the color off due to chipping. Wish they were done thicker. Not worth the 35$ for 48hours. Kati (spelling?) was great. I walked in for a pink and white refill and a spontaneous pedi. I was seen right away and both services were wonderful. The salon is clean and has a friendly environment. This was my second time and and the experience was better than my first time. The only thing I would change is that I can slightly see the previous fills under the pink but it might just be from the change of brands of gel since I moved from NC. read more
