    Mango Shake + Chicken Empanada
    Kristina M.

My partner and I were sooo happily surprised by how good this place was, we both said we would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again. Wasn't busy at all for a Friday evening around 6PM, but I hope they get a lot of business later in the night. It's a small spot, but the decorations are so cute, and the one employee at the front was very sweet and attentive. - Loaded Nachos: the chips are perfect, and it's so filling we could barely eat our actual entrees - Chicken Empanada: absolutely solid - Cubarito (1 Lechon + 1 Steak): the meat and sauce are delicious, but I always get blindsided expecting the plantain (essentially the bun substitute) to be a bit less dry and always get a little thrown off. - Philly Quesadilla: sOoooooOo good, I originally wanted to get a quesadilla, but ended up trying the Cubarito, so glad my partner decided to get one. we had leftovers for later, and usually he finishes everything - Mango Shake: the shake was amazing, and it's actually enormous, so glad I got the XL because we both ended up drinking it (and my partner isn't always the biggest fan of mango/mango-flavored things)

    Cubarito. One lechon one steak.

Ordered from work for lunch. Sooo delicious. Tried for the first time today, waited too long. Everyone loved what they had and can't wait to try other menu items! Delivered perfectly. The cucumber lemonade may just be my drink of summer.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a bite and we were very happy. I had a Cuban sandwich. It was very tasty, bread was lightly crunchy and soft inside. The pork was nicely cooked. Suburbs rose had the tops vieja, and my son had breakfast: French toast. Parking was tough right now because of construction but I recommend it if you're looking for a nice relaxed place for some Cuban taste.

Gran SAF (Servicio Ambiente Comida). *translation: Great SAF (Service Atmosphere Food) A wonderful little place in Berwyn with great food and friendly owners. Now, I wish they were closer to where we live in Chicago...

I ordered online for pick up and it was ready within 20 minutes. We loved the Philly Cuban steak sandwich but it did have way too many mushrooms for my liking. Other than that it was good. The cubarito was huge. I didn't expect two large sandwiches. We weren't that impressed with the empanadas. Overall, solid place for a good dinner! We'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

I flew in for one day and found this amazing restaurant close to Midway airport for lunch. As soon as I walked in I knew I was in the right place. The smell coming out of the kitchen of deliciousness permeates the cozy six table restaurant. I asked the owner her fav because I had a hard time deciding! Everything looks so good. I selected the Ropa Vieja and a beef empanada. Neither disappointed! Yum yum yum!! My tastebuds danced in delight. The beef soaked in juicy bell pepper and onion. The maduros were cooked to perfection, lightly crispy on the outside. I fell in love with the congris (rice beans). Thank you! I can't wait to come back.

I love everything on the menu. The staff are very attentive sweet and friendly. I enjoy the boom box on playing Bad Bunny it's very cozy reminds me of Latin America's little restaurant stands. The place is clean and very welcoming. The coffee is some of the best I've had in Berwyn! Love their hot sauce too

Stopped here after going into another restaurant. This place did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the owner/staff were super friendly and funny. They hooked up with some of that fire hot sauce "cema culo" . I will definitely be back. The flavor of the food/quality and attention to their customers is what makes a return customer.

Ordered from here thinking it's nice that there's something different in area. Ordered 2 sandwiches. I had the Cuban. It was tasty. But not worth the $12. It was mostly bread. Very disappointing. Not sure if I will return. Either lower the price or add more meat. You be the judge.

We parked in the neighborhood and walked around a bit and I like how the people really celebrate their culture here, with all of the flags, decorations, huge murals, etc... We started off with the following: - chicken salad, which was full Of flavor and very meaty - the steak Jibarito with garlic butter sauce was incredibly great, this was an awesome sandwich and I'll probably order double meat next time - Maduros - very sweet plantains and could be a dessert - pollo chon (chicken lechon), flavored just right, juicy, tasty and pretty huge The service was inviting and thank you Pana, who was talking with us as we were waiting for them to open their doors for lunch.... Unfortunately, I left really disappointed. I ordered an alcapurria, pescado frito, a pastel, and a jibarito with rice. The alcapurria came out first and was so hard I could barely even cut into it. Since it was lunchtime, I wasn't expecting something that seemed like it had been sitting around, but beyond the texture, it was also really lacking in flavor. I figured maybe it was just an off item or an off morning, so I was still excited when the pescado frito and pastel came out. Unfortunately, those were disappointing too. Everything just lacked the flavor, sazon, and that feeling of food being cooked with love that I'm used to when eating Puerto Rican food. The jibarito was mediocre and didn't have much meat, and the rice was dry with large clumps that weren't even separated. I really wanted to love this location because I've had such good experiences at the Fullerton restaurant, but the quality and flavor just weren't comparable. Based on this visit, I wouldn't come back to the Belmont location. I'l stick with the original on Fullerton.
