But make no mistake, the main thing happening here is baseball! There is a very large parking lot, but when all the diamonds are being used, you will likely have to park at the elementary school that adjoins the park. I drove around for about 10 minutes before I gave up and parked there and walked. It is not a horrible walk as long as you are able to walk a 5 minute distance.

Ill bet the outfield was only about 170 feet and netting is used to catch the HR hit. They do have nice bleachers for fans and the dug outs are cute and cozy. The food shack has typical stuff like hot dogs, popcorn, candy. Nice little park given the compact nature of it. The boys loved playing here.

The complex includes four youth baseball fields, each with its own championship field, and five additional baseball fields for both youth and adult play. It also has one professional-sized field where the minor league team the McKinney Marshall's used to play with full press boxes and locker rooms and seating for 1,000, allowing the Ballfields to be utilized for many championship baseball games. The fields are manicured and well taken care of. The spectator area is covered and very clean. The facilities are stocked and very clean considered it's at a ballpark.

Hard jobs being volunteers, but we wanted to contribute to our community. We noticed umps didn't call plays, scoreboards lost time and scores, concessions were rude. Kids still played games, even if it rained hard the previous day, we had kids complain about ankle injuries. As parents, we are our children's advocates, if an organization chooses not to respond in a positive way how can we continue allowing our children to participate in these organizations and fund them?! Not only that, but we were informed that the reason why they were cramming 10 games into 6 weeks was b/c everyone (parents) wanted to take vacations during summer. Yes, I understand b/c I like vacation as well, but every parent also knows that baseball is a summer sport and that's very helpful to have when you are finding things for your kids to do about this time. But, that was not the truth it was more for having secondary and even a third try at obtaining monetary funds for traveling 'all star' team, and some other inner league team. My husband was fired from being a voluntary coach for 6-8 year olds, that love their coach, because he missed an email or did not respond quickly enough. This was a very drastic move on the Denison Little League board which could have been remedied within a couple of minutes. Because we as parents, foremost, made ripples we were ousted out of our own community little league b/c we got onto the board about umps not calling plays, scores on the board, etc. Forgive us for truly caring about the kids, about them learning the game, about rising over mediocrity, and striving to be better, yet having fun. It's a shame. I recommend going to any other league that is willing to listen and want to strive to be better, not perfect, just better.

Then there was a pavilion of sorts located next to a children's playground. At a little bit of a hike, there was a piece of outdoor art, a scupture, that I really enjoyed reading about. Dugout bigger than MLB, the only thing not 100% perfect was the mound, which for Nov 13th is not abnormal. This field even has a scoreboard, however I'm not sure who is allowed to operate it or how you get the controls.
