I went skydiving on September 27 at Skydive Spaceland Dallas. My experience was 1000/10 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to go skydiving or/and get certified. This was my first time skydiving ; the safety instructor made me feel comfortable and at ease, very funny dude which made it better! My instructor Juancho is the absolute best he reassured me that everything was going to be fine and everything came out perfect! I chose the ultimate package so I had a great pleasure of having Georgie as my videographer. The video he took came out amazing and I'm absolutely content that I got the ultimate package! Everyone working there is nice! I was smiling from ear to ear from beginning to end, so much that I purchased my second tandem jump that same day! I went here because my friend Donaldo goes sky diving here and I was very nervous to jump. I wanted a place where someone I trusted could help me through the nerves. All the staff there is amazing! Very friendly and knowledgeable and chill. They explained the entire process and told me what to expect and what not to expect. I had honestly only gone in to watch first, because although I've always wanted to do it I was still scared. I wanted to see if I could muster up the courage to jump by watching others jump and observing the whole process. Well, I ended up jumping after talking to everyone. Let start with the front desk, that where so on point, with making you feel right at home. From the time I walked in I was all smiles, every step of the way. Then in the quick video class it make you feel confortable with laughter and to ease all the seriousness that really if doing on with jumping. Then I meet Keith my diver, the moment that changed my life, because he make it so easy to get prepaid for the jump, on the plan, during the jump and at the end. This place was very friendly in making sure everyone was good. And Tom ( a friend of mine husband) meet me in the parking lot for the very first time, gave a a big hug and let me know that If I needed anything he will be right there. My wife and a friends of ours went skydiving for the first time for my wife's birthday. None of us knew what to expect, but saw phenomenal reviews for Skydive Spaceland Dallas. Turns out, those reviews were correct! I am writing this review from my wife's perspective as I didn't jump, but will also include what it's like to take in the experience from the ground. From the moment you walk in the door until you leave, you are doing more than just skydiving. You are experiencing what the skydiving culture is all about. The staff there is obviously a close knit group and they welcome you into their community with open arms. For example, when our group went up to jump, there were a bunch of professional skydivers on the flight. Our group stuck out like a sore thumb since it was obviously their first time and they kept to themselves because this is a nerve racking experience. But the staff and the other flyers would have none of that! Everyone on the plane treated them like they belonged in their group. There was encouragement and high fives and knuckle bumps and just an overall awesome vibe. It really helped my wife and her friend feel at ease before the jump. As far as the logistics of the whole process, I can only say the following, as an observer. I could never imagine that skydiving could be so safe. I had no interest in jumping out of a plane when I arrived, but after my wife's experience, I'm strongly considering going. See Skydive Spaceland Dallas doesn't just tell you that everything is going to be fine, they show you. Our "handler," for lack of a better term, was Carl. Carl is a 21 year marine PJ veteran with over 6k jumps to his name. When we arrived and until the very end, he answered EVERY question. I mean all of them. There was no question too basic for Carl to treat it like the most important question in the world. And he treated the observers and their questions with just as much importance as the skydivers. Carl and the rest of the staff used science to show you why skydiving is safe and uses real world examples so us "newbies" can have this information be relatable to us. Truth be told, I was impressed with the whole safety and preparation experience. I was so thrilled to get to take an active role in my wife's big day and not be relegated to the sidelines. My wife was never really concerned about the safety of skydiving, but I most certainly was. I entered Skydive Spaceland Dallas hesitantly and exited confidently. Although I have no frame of reference, I cannot imagine a more put together operation than this one. In closing, there is absolutely nothing not to love about this place. It is a safe, fun, and all around an amazing experience, whether you are a jumper or an observer. But I'll tell you this much, I think next time I'll be on the jumper side. This was absolutely the best thing I've ever decided to do. From the time I checked in to the time I left, I felt like part of the team! I jumped to honor the fallen soldiers and police alike and to raise awareness to veteran suicide, on average 22 veterans take their own lives each day...22 until none... Katie put all my concerns to rest and that allowed me to fully experience the jump! It was a mission completed and I had So much fun making new friends! Plus, I left with epic video from Zach, my dude got some mad skills!!! This will be my yearly pilgrimage to honor our nation's heroes and and hopefully more if I can swing it! So I went here with a friend who jumped a few weeks ago. I haven't ever been skydiving but I've done some adventurous things (hang gliding, zip lining, etc.). Space land was way better than the other adventures. They explained everything at every step and at no point was I overly scared of jumping out of a plane at 14k feet with Solomon (who is awesome btw). We arrived at around 1030 and we were done by 1230. The whole experience is pretty life changing but it only lasts 8 minutes or so. 15 minutes for the climb out, 1 minute free fall, and 6 minutes from when YOU pull the cord. The views are epic and the experience itself is epic. It is a little pricey but do you want to skydive with the lowest bidder? They have a great offer for repeat customers and they treat you right the whole time. I'd highly recommend going and asking for Solomon!!! read more

this isn't the place for fun jumpers. tandem factory in deed. was rudely questions about a camera on my chest strap without any sort of introduction. two randoms just walked up yelling about it. dzm approved it and I went on my jump. TI then was bothering me about free flying with my 240 jumps on the plane. comming into my pattern the ginger packer cut me off pushing me towards the runway then ran and told on me for flying over the runway... when someone came to yell at me about that no one cared to see the footage of me being cut off by an employee or that I wasn't over the runway...then I got yelled at for packing my own chute where the packers work.. maybe put up a sign or even say somthing during the debrief. I took my refund for my remaining 9 jumps and left. read more

I had the pleasure of jumping out of my first plane with Keith. Keith did an excellent job of explaining everything that was going to happen & what he expected of me. After reviewing the safety video, Keith reviewed everything on the ground & again on the plane. Once we were tethered together, he verbally showed me & had me feel the connections. He did an awesome job making me feel very comfortable & safe. When it was our turn to exit the plane, Keith reviewed once more how we were going to exit and then away we went. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Exiting the plane took my breath away as we began our free fall. Whoooooo Hoooooooo!!! As instructed, I watched the altimeter & released the parachute. Keith let me steer the parashoot, we did a few spins & glided in for a perfect landing. Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane has always been on my bucket list and I'm glad I was able to check that off with Keith. It was a freaking blast!!!! I've skydived at 2 places. The other pkace was rinky-dink compared to this. This place is huge, with dozens of skydivers staging all day long, multiple planes on constant rotation, and enthusiastic professional jump-instructors. Jumpers start with a short safety film, then wait their turn to suit up, harness up, stage for your plane, and JUMP! The only negative is that on a busy Saturday (like yesterday) the wait can be 5 hrs long! Wow. The wait is terrible, but worth it.
