My family came here in 1968, from Houston, Texas, where my father earned his doctorate in Education from the University of Houston. It was on my 5th birthday that we moved to Denton, Texas. and bought a big home for the five of us kids in the neighborhood close to the Texas Woman's University campus, and I started kindergarten at the TWU Demonstration School, a short walk away. I graduated from Denton High School in May 1981, and then went to the University of North Texas for a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a 3.75 GPA. I was in the Bronco Marching Band, the German Club, and Denton High School Varsity Soccer Team. For my career, I moved overseas to Christchurch, New Zealand and nearby Lincoln University, an agricultural college in the province of Canterbury. Unfortunately, I succumbed to the virus Meningoccocemia, which is a blood borne infection of the meninges, located in the spinal cord, near the neck. When it turned into gangrene, kiwi doctors saved my life by recognizing my own desperate situation and performed quadrilateral amputations in order to spare my life. It is bench seating, so if you have back problems, you may want to bring one of those portable stadium seats. The pyrotechnics were very cool. They shot off fireworks throughout the game. Loved seeing the band at half-time. The dance squad and the cheerleaders put on good shows. My only complaint is the concessions. We unfortunately experienced lackluster pretzels and sausages. The pretzel honestly tasted like a white bun out of the package that you'd buy at the store for hamburgers. They didn't upkeep the condiments stations, they were messy. By the 3rd quarter, they ran out of napkins and the only condiments available were ketchup and mustard. We did buy merchandise at the gift shop. Shirts ran around $30-$40, as expected for a sport team venue. I appreciated the many stalls available in the bathrooms, which were kept clean. We plan on returning for more games.

Also the biggest issue was it was a very rainy day and they wouldn't let people bring their umbrellas in. Why? I mean it's raining. Also now someone can steal it. The walk to return it to the car is too far. They should have had someone checking them and given numbers or something. Also there was no way to dry the seats. Some should have been squeegeeing them off. So while a nice stadium it needs some better planning for inclement weather.
