Signed up to give PF a try and went in for my first day there today, and came away impressed with…read morehow clean the place was and how friendly the staff at the desk was (I should have asked the guy's name but spaced out because a monsoon started pretty much exactly as I was heading to the door). First time in the gym was a little overwhelming just based on the sheer amount of equipment, but as I figure out the lay of the land better, that'll obviously go away since it's mostly just about sorting out the geography of the different machines and weights areas. Wouldn't mind a bit more privacy in the shower area, but even when I played sports growing up and through high school, I was never super comfortable in that sort of setting, so that's more of a "me" issue. Just be aware that there's no changing area directly adjacent to the shower stalls, and the doors on the shower are clouded glass, so while they aren't clear, if someone walks by, they aren't gonna see EVERYTHING, they'll still be able to get an eyeful. Also tried out the massage chair and, despite being someone who typically hates massages in general, it was super relaxing. Looking forward to trying out the hydromassage bed in the near future, as well.

I truly enjoyed being a member at this box for the last three years. The members and coaches are…read morevery supportive and friendly: HOWEVER....the judgmental and narrow minded attitude and behavior of one of the owners is extremely disappointing and off-putting. He insisted that his gym is a Christian-based business that could not host Yoga classes because the premise of Yoga violates Christian values. He unfortunately thought that in doing the poses, the members and I were celebrating another deity. This took me utterly by surprise as the gym had been having yoga classes for 3 months already! He stated that he didn't know anything about yoga and finally "googled" it the other day and now was an apparent expert on Yoga philosophy and history. The ironic part of this is the that I'm Christian! The owner's statements were accusatory in nature in that I was promoting anti-Christian values or attempting to proselytize fellow gym members. To add further to my disappointment another member (a Pastor) chimed in to insinuate that Yoga is sinful! This experience has COMPLETELY spoiled the positive view and experience with this gym that I once had. It pains me to leave, but this latest experience was so hurtful and made personal toward me. So sad to see this type of behavior in the health industry In 2023.

my mother goes to nautilus daily to workout. last week she got a rash after being in their hottub…read moreafter a workout (she has multiple sclerosis, so hottubs help her muscles relax after hard workouts). then today she has pinkeye after working out last night. the pinkeye had to of been from the gym. we've been snowed in and it's the only place she's gone. they very clearly do not clean and take care of their equipment.
