I signed up for a membership over the summer. When I toured, they were busy but thought surely they…read morewere slower at other times of the day or other days of the week. I tried several different times and each time found myself waiting for machines either because there were lines or there were people standing around at the machines socializing. The contract has a clause about gym traffic to be expected during peak times. I thought the traffic would slow up once school was back in session, but it hasn't seemed to any time I went to work out. I have a small window of time available dedicated to my workout. I can't spend 20 minutes of it waiting for a machine. When I signed up, I was not informed it requires a 12-month contract. Honestly, I thought that was a thing of the past as I have had multiple gym memberships in the last 10 years and this is the only one with a 12-month commitment. This I will take credit for as I "signed" in agreement. But still something future members should be aware of. When I attempted to cancel my account, I called the location and explained I was moving 30 minutes away and would no longer be using the membership. The person on the phone said "no problem, there is a form to fill out or you can send an email". So, I sent an email. I was then told that it would cost $99 to cancel the membership, even though I was moving out of the service area. Also a clause to be aware of in the contract. Overall, the equipment is good. The classes are great. It's entirely too busy to be productive and the cancellation process is laborious. I will not utilize this gym again. There are too many alternatives to choose from to make working out complicated.

I truly enjoyed being a member at this box for the last three years. The members and coaches are…read morevery supportive and friendly: HOWEVER....the judgmental and narrow minded attitude and behavior of one of the owners is extremely disappointing and off-putting. He insisted that his gym is a Christian-based business that could not host Yoga classes because the premise of Yoga violates Christian values. He unfortunately thought that in doing the poses, the members and I were celebrating another deity. This took me utterly by surprise as the gym had been having yoga classes for 3 months already! He stated that he didn't know anything about yoga and finally "googled" it the other day and now was an apparent expert on Yoga philosophy and history. The ironic part of this is the that I'm Christian! The owner's statements were accusatory in nature in that I was promoting anti-Christian values or attempting to proselytize fellow gym members. To add further to my disappointment another member (a Pastor) chimed in to insinuate that Yoga is sinful! This experience has COMPLETELY spoiled the positive view and experience with this gym that I once had. It pains me to leave, but this latest experience was so hurtful and made personal toward me. So sad to see this type of behavior in the health industry In 2023.
