We've been meaning to pop by and eat here every time we visit Bromley as we've heard good things…read moreand it always looks busy. Yeah..... now we know why it looks busy. The service was soooooo slow. I booked a table and it took a few moment to be acknowledged. Staff were just pottering about and not even dealing with customers. Once acknowledged we were eventually led to our table. Took ages to get an allergen menu (their Ipad) then it took ages for someone to even take a drink order. Once we decided what to have (Not much choice for gluten free!) Order was taken and we waited.... Food wasn't too bad when it arrived but I'm glad I ordered a side as my main was a little on the small side! Milkshakes were tasting watery and tea was tasteless...... even if they did use a Yorkshire Tea teabag! For a lunchtime they had enough servers a few empty tables but lots of gaps in dealing with customers. Not the greatest of experiences, pricey for the food (quality wasn't great!) and service slow. We won't be back in a hurry!

One of the better Shopping Centre dining experiences…read more Joe's Kitchen, the runty little sister of Frank & Benny and Garfunkel's restaurants is a refreshingly modern, clean and creative twist on the standard. The layout and menu remind me somewhat of Bill's restaurants. Big wooden tables and not too fussy. The Menu is transparent and has your staples: fish and chips, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and your all day breakfast. It's a little fresher and more contemporary than it's more famous counterparts. As with any restaurant in a shopping mall, it's quite overpriced for what it is. My fish finger sandwich, although pleasant and filled my hungover hole was average bread, cheap fish fingers and a bit of iceberg. For £6 without any garnish at all, I would say that's a tad steep. Still, what did surprise me were the chips. This may sound strange, but they really tasted like potato! Normally you get the standard, frozen chips with a real starchy texture, but these 'skin on fat chips' tasted fresh and lovely. Overall, it's an amazing improvement to your average shopping break meal. It completely beats the competition in the area and was a very pleasant experience. PS. lovely coffee and the coke floats looked amazing.

We considered a few places before deciding on Branded--and I'm so glad we did. We arrived a bit early, so the restaurant was still quiet. Inside, it's surprisingly spacious yet manages to feel warm and intimate. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. Given Branded's reputation for great beef, it only seemed right to order both a hamburger and a steak. We began with the rock shrimp tempura, beautifully crisp and light, followed by a Caesar salad that was fresh, generous, and ideal for sharing. The burger was outstanding--two juicy patties layered with bacon, Jack cheese, and truffle mayo, cooked to perfection. My rib-eye steak with peppercorn sauce and frites could easily hold its own in a Parisian bistro: tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. If you're planning a visit to Knole, skip the café there and head to Branded instead. It's the kind of meal that turns a good outing into a memorable day.

This used to be gourmet burger bar, but in April 2012 reopened as Branded beef…read more As the name suggests, it focuses mainly on beef - steaks and burgers in various guises. However, they do have quite a few other things to offer. There were several fish dishes and even a couple of vegetarian offerings. This was supposed to be a quick lunch for three girls, and of course we lived up to the stereotype and had the skinny burgers (no bun or cheese) and shared the fries. Even so, I was pretty full for several hours afterwards. The burger was nice, not the most perfect piece of hamburger meat ever, but ok. The fries (fat chips) were actually delicious. The thing that really let it down was the salad - very nice fresh leaves doused in some sort of sweet and citrus dressing that jarred with the whole plate. Pity, as I needed something to eat with the burger! The service was lovely - very attentive and friendly. The place itself is a little cold - lots of leather, cow hide lampshades and bar stools, but the bench seating that I sat on was hard, cold wood - much better to have leather seats throughout I think. Overall it was perfectly pleasant, but there was nothing to make me go rushing back.

Well, clearly I didn't get the memo on Cabrera, this place was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious! I was a bit skeptic at first just based on the fact the waitress was an older lady and there was some confusion when we asked some questions regarding the menu, but I was wrong. My friend and I shared the steak selection (£48 for 2 people) which came with Sirloin, Fillet and Ribeye. 2 steaks of each per person. We then ordered 3 side dishes to share between us - dauphinois potato, triple cooked chips and a portion of asparagus. All of it was cooked to perfection. The knife went through the steak like butter, the chips were delicious and the potatoes so tasty and the asparagus was perfect. I was getting quite full, with 3 steaks to eat, but I didn't want the meal to end, it was so delicious. The portion of chips was huge! We couldn't finish them. The potatoes were just addictive, I would happily have eaten it all over again. The restaurant soon filled up and I was actually really surprised at how busy it got. I naively didn't think that people frequented these local restaurants too often, but the place was really busy and according to our waitress, that was a quiet night! If only I could afford to eat here all the time! With it being a steak restaurant the price is more expensive than say going out for an Italian meal, but it was most definitely worth it. I can't wait to tell all my friends and colleagues and encourage everyone to go. I can't wait to go back. Cabrera is definitely a local gem.
