Lovely ambience and fantastic food, one of Chiswick's hidden gems. The atmosphere is formal but staff are friendly and very accommodating. The vacherin platter was generous in proportion and definitely a must for cheese fans, and the venison fillet was one of the best I have ever tasted. Great selection of wines on offer at varying prices.

Competent cooking and a nice ambiance for Sunday lunch. And friendly professional staff. Perhaps too many British dishes for my taste.

Average food, poor service. Not worth the high prices. Plenty of other better places locally, even the chains!!

This was a disappointing experience. The food was OK, just a little bland. The ambiance is lovely and the service was excellent.

Had the eggs benedict, sea bream (good but personally not something I'd order again), and strawberry tart.

I suppose the nearest thing we have is takeaway chips, and this was exactly what I was in the mood for one freezing cold February night when I was walking home. As luck would have it I spotted Hooked, which looked a bit more upmarket than your typical fish n chips place, but was similarly reasonably priced. For £1.80 I was given a huge plate of freshly cooked chips and was able to sit in at one of the tables in the (very clean) restaurant area at no extra cost! Free ketchup too. The chips, whilst not the best I'd ever had, did taste fresh and were nice and chunky too, which is the way I feel all chips should be. The staff were very friendly and welcoming too. A great spot for some quick, cheap and hot grub!

Gluten free fish and chips- wow!…read more We came here after learning about their dedicated gluten free fryer and menu items. The takeaway line was pretty steady but we ate in. The server was great with our kids and gave some sound advice on menu options. We had the haddock and cod fish and chips, and the kids had fish bites - which ended up being a bit more substantial. If we go back we'll choose those. The staff was really friendly and gave us space. Not everyone may appreciate that, but the pace was perfect for us. We would have liked a bit larger drink menu, but the current offerings work for the menu.

It was quite cozy in that we had too many people for what the room should have held, but the serving team still did a nice job and everyone had an enjoyable experience. To start I had their French Onion soup, followed by their baked chicken entrée and crème brulee for dessert. All of the food was nicely prepared and delicious.

What a view! You overlook the Thames and Richmond Bridge, and it's really lovely. They offer a prix fixe menu along with the standard a la carte, but as the options on the first menu were so nice, we went for 2 courses each and a shared dessert. My Roquefort salad starter was pretty and very tasty and I really enjoyed it. Mom-in-law had the special soup (leek and potato). She said it was delicious but piping hot, and it took quite a while for it to cool down enough for her to eat it. I absolutely love the way the French cook veal, and I was really excited about my veau a Lyonnaise. It was served with scrumptious roasted potatoes. The dish was really good and I nearly felt like I was back in France. Mom-in-law had a buckwheat galette (a Crepe that's folded in on the sides) stuffed with mushrooms, ham and cheese. The buckwheat flavour added something really special to this dish - it was great. We decided to split a citron Crepe for pudding and it was delicious too. Our server was pleasant and friendly, the view was beautiful and the food was great.
