We considered a few places before deciding on Branded--and I'm so glad we did. We arrived a bit early, so the restaurant was still quiet. Inside, it's surprisingly spacious yet manages to feel warm and intimate. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. Given Branded's reputation for great beef, it only seemed right to order both a hamburger and a steak. We began with the rock shrimp tempura, beautifully crisp and light, followed by a Caesar salad that was fresh, generous, and ideal for sharing. The burger was outstanding--two juicy patties layered with bacon, Jack cheese, and truffle mayo, cooked to perfection. My rib-eye steak with peppercorn sauce and frites could easily hold its own in a Parisian bistro: tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. If you're planning a visit to Knole, skip the café there and head to Branded instead. It's the kind of meal that turns a good outing into a memorable day.

However, they do have quite a few other things to offer. There were several fish dishes and even a couple of vegetarian offerings. This was supposed to be a quick lunch for three girls, and of course we lived up to the stereotype and had the skinny burgers (no bun or cheese) and shared the fries. Even so, I was pretty full for several hours afterwards. The burger was nice, not the most perfect piece of hamburger meat ever, but ok. The fries (fat chips) were actually delicious. The thing that really let it down was the salad - very nice fresh leaves doused in some sort of sweet and citrus dressing that jarred with the whole plate. Pity, as I needed something to eat with the burger! The service was lovely - very attentive and friendly. The place itself is a little cold - lots of leather, cow hide lampshades and bar stools, but the bench seating that I sat on was hard, cold wood - much better to have leather seats throughout I think. Overall it was perfectly pleasant, but there was nothing to make me go rushing back.

Well, clearly I didn't get the memo on Cabrera, this place was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious! I was a bit skeptic at first just based on the fact the waitress was an older lady and there was some confusion when we asked some questions regarding the menu, but I was wrong. My friend and I shared the steak selection (£48 for 2 people) which came with Sirloin, Fillet and Ribeye. 2 steaks of each per person. We then ordered 3 side dishes to share between us - dauphinois potato, triple cooked chips and a portion of asparagus. All of it was cooked to perfection. The knife went through the steak like butter, the chips were delicious and the potatoes so tasty and the asparagus was perfect. I was getting quite full, with 3 steaks to eat, but I didn't want the meal to end, it was so delicious. The portion of chips was huge! We couldn't finish them. The potatoes were just addictive, I would happily have eaten it all over again. The restaurant soon filled up and I was actually really surprised at how busy it got. I naively didn't think that people frequented these local restaurants too often, but the place was really busy and according to our waitress, that was a quiet night! If only I could afford to eat here all the time! With it being a steak restaurant the price is more expensive than say going out for an Italian meal, but it was most definitely worth it. I can't wait to tell all my friends and colleagues and encourage everyone to go. I can't wait to go back. Cabrera is definitely a local gem.

I can only think that the restaurant is named to avoid copyright issues from the Laurel and Hardy estate. The restaurant was pretty full but we still managed to get a table. The staff and management are extremely friendly and helpful and very open and it was clear that they cared about the service they gave. The menu was reasonably priced and many of the dishes also themed from the comedy duo. Our party of four ordered a burger with nothing on (A Lonesome Pine), a rack of ribs in a delicious barbecue sauce (Another Fine Mess), a sirloin steak and a spicy chicken breast meal. Starters were shared and were a bowl of Nachos and two generously loaded potato skins with cheese and bacon. The starters arrived and were hot and delicious, and most of all, generous portions. Conversation was possible but sometimes the music got a little loud so raising voices were in order. I had overseen a few main courses arrive at other tables and it was very clear that the one thing these plates had in common were generosity in spades. One lady's jacket potato seemed to be the size of a marrow! Our own dishes were also no disappointment. The ribs I ordered practically filled the length of a large oval plate with fries heaped against the side to hold it on. The steak was done perfectly to order, the burger was delicious and clearly hand made and the chicken was well sauced, spicy and wonderful. However while the sizes of the dishes were daunting, we soldiered on regardless. We were looked after extremely well and the management were much in evidence front of house, meeting, greeting and talking to customers but not in an intrusive overbearing way. The atmosphere was very friendly and conducive to both meals with loved ones as well as a night out with friends. Desserts, like the starters, had to be shared after the size of the main course and our young waitress duly informed us that the chocolate fudge cake portion was a little on the large size. It wasn't an understatement. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a team making base camp for the assault on its peak! The Chocolate Brownie Sundae had, rather unusually, popcorn as part of the deal which managed to make the brownie taste like peanut butter when eaten in combination. All in all a really pleasant night out in a good atmosphere with good honest simple food cooked well. I can say that I will defiinitely return and am interested to see what their Sunday roasts are like too. If you are in the Bromley Common area this is more than well worth a look

I've been seeing lots of good things about this place via social media so decided to give it a try…read morerecently. I can't say we were disappointed. We ate there on a Thursday evening (for hubby's birthday), and in the lead up to our booking, I have to say the customer service was amazing. Both my daughter and I are gluten intolerant, so lots of messages back and forth about what we could and couldn't have in order to be prepared to save time ploughing through a menu. Win! Also as it was hubby's birthday I arranged for a cake to be delivered and for them to present it at the end of the meal - nothing was too much trouble - to the point we could even add balloons/decorations if we wanted to! (We didn't!). The meal itself was good, the service was extremely attentive and the waitresses were happy to have a chat in between courses too. My hubby and I had the steak and whilst we've had a lot better (think Gaucho's) for a local restaurant they did a fine job in the way it was cooked and presented and tasted. My daughter had the burger (without the bun) and they ensured she had enough sides to make up for this fact. She really enjoyed it. For a Thursday it was fairly quiet in the restaurant, but they had two Deliveroo guys working overtime catering for the folk that wanted to eat at home. We saw them in and out all evening. This just shows that it's a popular place! My understanding on talking with friends is that it does get booked out on a weekend. I have to admit, they had lots of tasty things on the menu and we will be going back very soon to try something else! Will definitely be back!

The place had been done up to a reasonable standard, it was all very modern which is exactly up my street I got a good look round the place because the guy who was showing us to our seat got a bit confused and led us round the entire place before finding our table. I ordered a cocktail instead of a starter, the chateaubriand, a lettuce wedge and some mac and cheese as a side and a bottle of prosecco. The cocktail was very nice. The prosecco a little over priced considering its average taste. The chateaubriand was served in one big lump, rather than in slices and considering it was designed to be shared seemed to me to be a rather silly idea. It was however cooked to perfection, but by the time I was given a plate to eat it from it was quiet cold. I couldn't tell you about the lettuce wedge as I didn't ever receive it. I felt quiet sorry for the guy who was serving us he seemed stressed and overworked. My guess is lack of training and I'm sure as time goes by he'll learn on the job. After I paid I noticed I was accidentally charged for a drink that we didn't order or receive but it was a 2 pound mocktail and I'm not that hard up that I was going to mention it. Will definitely go back, but maybe in a few months after things have settled down.

Firstly the door with the ramp for pram/wheelchair access was closed so we lifted our granddaughters pram up three steps only to be confronted by double doors which were only open on one side so had to struggle to find the bolt to release door no 2. The lobby between this door and the inner one which was also heavy was also bolted and it was such a squeeze. When we finally got onto the place we were told by a member of staff we should have found the bell and someone would have opened it!,,,,how stupid is that. We we led to a table and abandoned for several minutes seeing other who came after us being given menus and drinks. Eventually a pleasant lady came and took our drinks order. When our food order arrived the nachos we greasy with little or no toppings. The chicken was dry and in my opinion had been cooked twice smother with an awful red wine sharp tasting sauce which overpowered everything. I had to pay for a side salad which was ok. The gammon steak was more like a slice of bacon with a greasy egg on top. The ribs for our daughter where hard and burnt. Overpriced with some of the worst food and service attention is the only reasonable feedback to give this place. We will not be back.
