I wouldn't know if the food was actually good to start with. My last 4 orders were not what I ordered. I don't know what with everything means to these people, why bother asking if I want hot peppers too if you have no intention of putting them on anyway. This was the last time for me. If you want to come he and fix what you just had made you may as well do it yourself. Everything is missing the hots, onions, pickles. I'm done. Your not the only show in town. The God. I used to crush one of these a week when I lived up there, made sure to stop once when I visited home and it holds up. You'll pay a little premium for something better than the chains I don't think I'm allowed to say by name in reviews, but, you know them. Open kitchen too, which as a former food and bev employee makes me weep for them, but even if its off the flat top you can see it made. Wish we had one down here. Always my favorite steak and cheese. Surprisingly, a lot of restaurants can't handle one. However I gave them a chance on lobster the other day and I was very happy. We went back there today and they were slammed-but it didn't take any longer than last time. My son likes the Thanksgiving sandwich with all the trimmings. But the kicker is now they have a real bakery in the building as well, Montilio's, with gorgeous pastries and cakes. Score. read more

Stopped during travel. Such a friendly staff, cute restaurant, nice variety on the menu. The lobster roll was tasty, bread perfect, right amount of lobster. My husband's favorite sandwich shop when we visit RI. The kids are big fans, too. I had their Thanksgiving sandwich. It's a fresh roll stuffed with carved turkey, stuffing and cranberries that you dip in their homemade gravy. I cant even begin to tell you how delicious this sandwich is. This D'Angelo has the best crew. Ask a regular, they'll tell you! Most of the staff are super experienced and definitely know how to give you what you order. The manager Anna is great, and I've never had a bad sandwich there. If you've had a bad experience at this location, I'd chalk it up to a new employee or a bad day (everyone's human!). Ordered a steak and cheese and actually bit into a hunk of tuna salad in my sandwich. Good thing I don't have a seafood allergy. This implies that someone didn't change their gloves while handling seafood and other items. When I called to inquire about it 20 mins away I was told that they would be happy to make me another. No that's quite okay. I am grossed out after that one. I wont be back. Miserable staff btw. read more

Worst experiences of my life. Anna Norfolk the manager is the most unprofessional, condescending, and arrogant manager I have ever encountered. 2 sandwiches in three days made wrong, she was standing right there both times. Today when I returned the MISTAKE for a remake, she still never offered an apology for the mistakes. She only had any interest in the mistakes when I asked for the district managers number. She argued with me in front of the customers, and her own workers. At one point when she handed me the district managers phone number she said "I've been with the company 35 years, doesnt make a difference who you call." Might not make a difference, but it's the last time I ever step in that dangelos, maybe even any dangelos. Congratulations, Anna norfolk, your unprofessional behavior, and your store's constant mistakes have caused dangelos to lose at least 2 lifelong customers.
