Where do I start? We were back East (from CA) for a family trip. We are originally from the East Coast and grew up on D'Angelo's. A family favorite. We haven't been able to find anything that compares in Los Angeles (other than Soda Pop's that unfortunately closed.) So we made it a point to stop in for #9 sandwiches (steak!!) and some lobster rolls (so happy we were there when they were in season!) I can not say enough great things about the team at the 2175 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 location. I wish I got the woman's name who took our order. She was one of the nicest people we've ever met. She shared in our excitement and enthusiasm while we ordered. A huge smile on her face and nothing but kindness for every question we had, and for every extra cup, replacement roll, second bag of chips we asked for. The sandwiches did not disappoint. They were DELICIOUS!! The place was immaculate. The bathrooms spotless. The entire team lovely. We randomly stoppped at this location on our way to our Uncle's house. I am so so so happy we did. If you have the chance, stop in. You'll be happy you did!!

You either love D'angelos or you don't. I personally do, and every now and again my guilty pleasure is to pick myself up a chicken 9. (Sometimes steak, too, which is also awesome) This location is as good as any, and I love the organized chaos of how they run their kitchens. It's theater AND quick and good food. Folks at this location have always been super nice to deal with and my food is quick and well-made.

And Fiesta Cafe came up on my search. It was only 5 minutes away. And once I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at the decor. It's fun, lively and well put together. They have the photo wall that one can take photos. And a beautiful outdoor space! It's like a hidden gem, where it feels like you're on a getaway vacation. Ordered a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich, which was delicious! Not overpowering, or overstuffed. That first bite was delightful because you can taste the fresh bread. And if you know about bread, then you know! And the coffee was so good. Cafe con leche & azúcar. Yum!

Parking is located across the street beside the gas station. Before dancing, we decided to get something to eat. Inside the cafe was very clean and workers were attentively filling orders. The menu was in Spanish which was a bit difficult since my first language is English, and the workers were new or helping out so they didn't understand either. It was about 9 pm therefore many menu items were unavailable so we ended up ordering some tostones. (fried maintain). Surprising they were hot, crispy, and delicious. My friends and I enjoyed it. After we finished eating we were off dancing to salsa, bachata, and merengue music. The Dj was remarkable dropping hits after hits. Total females outnumbered males in attendance so there were not many dance partners available to dance with. At about midnight, my friends and I called it a night and headed home.

I chose the Argentinian Beef which she said came with olives & rasins & the Brazilian Calabresa which I was Informed was filled with smoky brazilian sausage & a creamy parm-like cheese named catupiry. Despite all of their wonderful alcoholic drink options, I went for coffee. I am also going to carry out a loaf of bread that they can slice for you once it cools.. yup, it's that fresh & a fig pecan oatmeal cookie because they also look & sound delicious. Apparently they have a million playlists (this guy can Dj any party of mine) & the owner has the resteraunt logo showing up in the corner of the TV screen, where the videos are playing. Smart I give the Tacos a 4.5 out of 5. The flavor was bright (perfect fusion experience) the shell was a grilled flour wrap which was both crispy on the outside & tender & chewy on the inside. The meat was tender, but the texture was slightly mealy from the seasoning but still very good. The Empanadas were delicious. A 10 out of 5.. LoL! The server said some people are put off by the Argentinian ingredients, it was her favorite & I found nothing wrong with the flavor profile. However, the Brazilian one stole the show. The minute I cut into it I was overwhelmed by the smell of heaven.. Seriously, if heaven has a smell, it was this tiny empanada! It was too good to put into words, so youre just going to have to come experience it. Come. Eat! You wont regret it! I will be back to try their winter salad & then again for the ruben & i will have friends in tow. I 100% recommend this place. Our server was Coco & not only was she delightful but so knowledgeable about Holyoaks revitization & happenings. I truly enjoyed speaking with her.
