I've driven past this place for years. Decided to finally try them out..got the 1/2 chicken with fried rice for pick up. Service was sucky and pretentious. I also felt rushed. The fried rice was bland and under cooked and the chicken was HAIRY. Just plain disgusting! Such a simple dish and they jacked it up. Fried rice sucks Scheshwan steak good Sesame okay Chicks dumplings okay Beef broccoli not bad Walnut shrimp not bad but sauce is horrible the sugar isn't even dissolved properly in the sauce still crunchy I think we will continue to look for a different place. Not gonna lie, I'm extremely picky when it comes to Asian food, but for the past few weeks I've had the strongest craving. I randomly found a D&Y menu in my drawer, my guess is that they send them out in the mail from time to time?? I'm so glad that they did!!! Ordered for delivery, and within 40 minutes my food was sitting in front of me waiting to be devoured. The menu has a wide selection of items and the pricing can't be beat. I had general chicken and cheese wontons, while my husband had Mongolian chicken. Everything was so fresh and insanely delicious! And the portions they send are huge -- I definitely have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. D&Y is probably the best Asian take-out I've had so far! Next time I get a craving, I know who to call! Best Chinese food around. I live in Woodmere and I have never been able to enjoy Chinese food in this area until I started going to D&Y. The woman who works here is very friendly. She confirms your order on the phone to avoid any mistakes. She says ten minutes on the phone and it's always ready to go. The restaurant is always super clean any time I pick up my food. I've only sampled a few dishes from here: Boneless Spare Ribs, Crab Rangoons, Pork Lo Mein, Pork Chow Fun, and General Tso's Chicken. The only dish I didn't care for was the General Tso's. I'm given the impression that it isn't worth ordering any type of fried protein from here because their noodles and non-fried dishes are always amazing. read more

Excellent neighborhood chinese restaurant. They have a lunch special everyday, which gets you an entrée, fried rice or brown rice, and egg roll or soup for roughly six dollars a person. They are located in the same shopping plaza as a CVS so there is ample parking. Not a place where you would necessarily eat out, but take out or delivery. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I called for a delivery order and the gentleman said okay. 20 minutes later I receive a call from a woman saying that they cannot deliver my order because it's too far. Please keep in mind, it would've been FOUR MILES away. That would be 10-12 minutes driving. She said she needs to check with her supervisor again. Called back and she said they will deliver it to me. When ordering they are pretty punctual when they give you a time estimate on how long the food is going take. The food is decent their fried rice could be better but since is so conveniently close to home and not so greasy I give them a solid 4 stars. When not ordering from lunch menu can be a little bit pricey for Chinese food. But overall a decent place. read more

I placed my order and the individual behind the counter was talking on the phone. She obviously was not paying attention and inadvertently gave me $10.00 extra with my change. I immediately brought it to her attention and gave back the $10.00. She said " thank you" to me. While waiting I asked if I could have a glass of water. She said "no but I could buy a bottle of Poland Spring water". She couldn't give a free glass of water.This business is more concerned with taking your money than treating you with respect.
