i just have to say if anyone is looking at replacing their windows& / or doors, D& W WINDOWS are the people to call. professional kind, fixed any problems that happened while replacing these windows from 1964. some of the removal was a pain but they fixed EVERYTHING! From soffits to aluminum to the wood trim. even going above & beyond by filling a trim piece that they didnt have to do. highly recommend these guys, Dennis, drew & Andy were great to work with for the last 3 days. D&W windows and shower are good to work with. we got both installed with them. I didn't give a 5 star because a yr later I asked for calk and they discontinued the color. who does that?? also a warning of the creditors they use they do not figure your month payments right so you'll owe that's how they make their money when they give you zero interest. read the fine print closely. in my opinion zero interest is zero interest if you make your payments on time. I'm glad I caught mine early. also zero interest is good if you pay it off on time, but if you don't that zero interest sarts with the interest from day one. they are scammers. We started calling at 9 years in with a 10 year warranty. D&W played around about the issue and never fixed the problem. The roof was not right. The floor continued to get wet. The problem got worse and worse. They came out a few times and caulked the floor or what ever but never fixed the leak in the roof. Now it rains in my sun room and the floor is rotting. They want almost $5000 to fix it because they refused to fix the problem while it was under warranty! I would not ever give them another penny! Their warranty is a scam. When they finally went on the roof to check it out, our warranty was over and they made it even worse. I'm so disappointed! I could never treat any of my customers the way that this company has treated my family! read more

We got windows from them about 6 years ago. Totally HATE them. We were NOT told our half screens won't come out without taking the risk of bending the frame. So how do you wash them? Also the screens are starting to rot and fade from the sun. The windows in our garage started doing that after 22 years not 6! Would NOT recommend these. read more

OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS! I am in awe!! THANK YOU!!!! We have put off any remodel because; I'm not a person who wants my house torn up for days on end. And quite honestly cost always scared me.. But, seriously, my bath was just awful.. I mean awful...it was long overdue for major attention. There was always something else that needed to be done, the bath took a backseat and it definitely showed... I'm embarrassed that it was so horrid..hey, it was functional and we kept it clean but, yea, it makes me sad we waited so long.... ANYWAY... Finally we decided to get a quote from D&W after seeing the bathwrap display at the Davison Farmer's market, I preferred that to tiling. Noah (the sales Rep) was really informative, not pushy at all, it felt like he could feel our pain, he took his time with us, explained everything really well, made me feel better by saying our bath was not the worst he'd ever seen (although I think he lied about that. Face it, if they had an ugly bathroom contest ours would win ) ... Side-note...We had our windows put in by D&W years ago and they were awesome, they have stood by their windows, lived up to every promise. So, we were confident we could trust them with this too, we didn't even bother calling anyone else. The one-day install was our biggest selling point but, I must tell you, I did not believe it, it didn't seem possible. We knew we could trust D&W. Anyway.... Noah quoted the price, it wasn't cheap but, you get what you pay for and this is our home, we deserve it and, have I mentioned it's one day install OMG! We did add some upgrades; solid seat, ceiling, fixtures, all that and the warranty and quality of the shower wrap, in my opinion make it oh so worth it! Okay so, we were told 3 to 5 weeks before they could do it, that was no problem, but the anticipation did make it seem like way longer than 5 weeks. So here it is, today is the day.. I worked from home in case some unforeseen drama cropped up (which always happens in an old house) and to write the check, I was here to witness this miracle and oh WOW! Miracle is right! We were told they'd be here by 8:30 AM and at 8:20 AM Justin and Nick arrived: They are absolutely great! I tell you, those two guys wasted no time, they are a fantastic Team. Super pleasant, respectful, hard working. Man! They were absolutely awesome! They did not stop, I finally almost forced them to take a quick break for lunch.. but they still never stopped working. By 10:30 AM the walls and old tub were broken up and out. By 2:00 PM, they were done, I mean DONE! They cleaned up everything, seriously everything, vacuumed basement, garage, bathroom, and they hauled all the trash away with them.. Not one drama came up and OH MY GOSH! I cannot believe the awesomeness of it all. Was it more cash than I hoped it would be? A little, yes. Was it absolutely worth it? Oh Yes! Am I ashamed that I didn't make it happen years ago? Absolutely Yes!!! I am posting old and new photos, it pains me to do it, but you need to see this. As awful as my bathroom was, I just assumed there was no hope unless I had $10,000 or more to throw at it (which I did not). Now that it's all done, I can tell you, the price was great. so i had given some bad reviews in the past but today i want to finish the story. as the reviews say i had some problems with my installation. sometimes we make simple mistakes in life allowing us to learn and grow from them. once the vp derek wood got hold of my situation things got a whole lot better a whole lot quicker. He has been more than helpful getting my concerns addressed and going three steps further in another little project on the house that turned out beautiful. kudos to derek and his d and w crews. i was pretty blunt in my earlier reviews. i was angry and felt like nobody was listening. however today the windows and siding are looking great. so if you still have any doubt on using d and w for your next project just ask to talk to derek, i believe he is truly a good person. read more

They took off their masks in our home in the midst of COVID which made me extremely uncomfortable and were were rude when asked that they please wear masks. Damage to our channel siding trim was caused as a direct result of the window installation which they did not fix. Our landscaping also took a hit. They trimmed bushes and moved landscaping rocks which caused a rock retaining wall to crumble. The damage they caused has resulted in some costly repairs. Thumbs down to D&W Windows. read more

We purchased windows from D&W window and have had a terrible Leak of cold air in a slider window. We taped it with package tape to keep the cold from coming in. We ask for a new window and the company sent a tech out who told us nothing was wrong with the window. A thermometer placed next to window reads 50-52 degrees in the winter. We ask for a new window because of their 100 guarantee. There is no guarantee. We were told they will not replace our window. This company gets an F for quality and an F for customer service. I had my windows installed by D & W on 9/10/2012. My Sales Representative was Mr. Kelly Bray. The contract price was about $6000 total. After only about a month into the contract I noticed condensation on the windows. I tried notifying the company again & again, spoke to Derrick Wood. He brushed off my phone calls, always so quick to fast talk me out of the need for services. It's been 6 1/2 years and this past winter was the last straw, I tried contacting them again and the lady immediately responded that they didn't service their windows she said something about only locally. I was local enough for them to install them but not local enough for them to honor their contract? Although disappointed, I noticed they have a storefront inside my local mall no further than 3 miles from my house at Fashion Square Mall. After going to the home show in April, 2019, I talked with other companies and they weren't shocked about the windows' failure over time. I got quoted for replacement windows and was told by the Sales Rep who is also an installer, the D &W product is not installed properly. After attending a Seminar by the Attorney General's Consumer Education presentation, I decided to move forward and contact the Better Business Bureau for help when I noticed my contract read 10 year warranty and glass repair. My energy provider alerted me that my energy bills were exorbitantly high compared to other similar homes in my neighborhood. The product that was installed by D & W Windows didn't make it the during the first two years. These D & W windows only look good but do not be fooled, they are cheap for a reason. I'm thinking my windows are not sealed properly because I feel wind near the sash. Ice in the winter, water in the rain enters through the pane, in the spring I clean mold that collects around the pane of the sliders, debris like dirt enter from grass cutting/weed whacking in the summer months. These windows may be manufactured in Michigan but do not have the ability to withstand a winter. I'm humbled by the company actually responding to the BBB complaint via email. The lady, Debbie Willrich, contacted me via email and asked me if D & W installed these windows. I keep records very well, therefore I will see if the company will honor the contract and back up the work performed by their installer. It's a shame that this company in Davison knows how to fast talk you & takes your kindness for a weakness. All I want are windows that work. 8 out of the 10 windows are horrific. They have cost me lots of money and have ruined the wood sashes in my home. All I want is windows repaired or replaced and justice for others. Do yourself a favor and get better windows, the difference in price you'll end up spending with your energy bills over the years. I am an honest person and would not be writing this long message about my experience with this company from sales, to financing and service. D&W did a great job installing all my house windows a year ago.So this year 2020 went back to D&W to get a quote for a doorwall install,plus install window in garage.Was treated like my job was to small for them was told jobs less then $5000 would need to be approved by owner,by the way their quote was twice as much as two other of their competitors.With better doorwall.Thank you D&W for getting to big and powerful for the repeat customer made me find better pricing ,quality,and friendlier staff. read more

Why are you in a meeting when you or a member of your team was supposed to be at me house??? What is more important then a customer....I'm not happy. This is a poor way to run a business. Run from this company like your life depends on it. During the installation of our sunroom it was clear that their was no communication within the organization and no communication to the clients. There were several items discussed during the sales process of our new sunroom that we were told were standard in all new installations to find out during the installation that it is not standard and it was not written in our contract. Well it wasn't written I our contract because the sales rep (Dale Fite) that we were working with informed us it was standard and we didn't have to worry about it. During the installation of the sunroom, crews would randomly show up over the two month period that it took them to install the sunroom when we were told it would take a max of 5 weeks. Crews would be onsite primarily for a half a day and then leave. After we were informed that the sunroom was complete, we found out that the sunroom leaked and the doors didn't lock properly. After calling the project/Construction manager (Gary Minto) several times and not receiving any message back I started to call the office and leave messages. Leaving messages didn't work either. I had to tell the front desk what was going on and get another manager within the organization to do something about it. I was informed that the issues would be resolved on a Wednesday and when I checked on Thursday, the sunroom was still leaking at the door locks were worse. I called back and was informed that the issues would be fixed again on Friday and I still had issues and another group of people came out and resolved the door issue on the following Monday. I personally had to go up on the sunroom and calk places where the construction crews missed to keep the sunroom from leaking. Further, the crews couldn't care less about keeping your property cleaned. I have picked up over a hundred cigarette butts that have been left all over the side of my yard along with coffee cups. The list of issues go on and on and stems from the fact that there is no communication within the organization let alone to the customers. I was going to go through D&W to do windows later this summer however after this experience, I would never go to D&W windows again. read more

Terrible. Window locks never worked right, and when they came out to "fix" they considered it an opportunity to show us how to repair them. Argon gas began to leak out and "fog" the window after 7-8 years and when I called, I was told warranty was only available if we had them install (btw, they subcontract the work so how does that make sense?). Called today (it's been 15 years) to ask to repair at my cost, and they changed the story, said they would have covered repair up to 10 years if I had asked. Also they don't repair the windows unless it's warranty work, I have to call a glass shop. Additionally, when I asked how long they expect the windows to last, the answer was that the seals can leak and the mechanical parts break down *due to sun exposure* My goodness, isn't the purpose of windows to let in the sun? If you want cheap windows, that's what you'll get. Buying local in this instance isn't worth it. Next time it will be Anderson Windows, totally worth the extra money. read more

I want everyone to know how poor the customer service has been with this company right from the beginning. Debbie is rude, & states she's doing us a "favor" when in fact the reason we're not paying for the window is because the technician cracked our window when he came out to measure. We had D&W install new windows and the insulation is horrible looks like garbage we called and the manager came out and agreed and said they would call that week to fix them, all the outside trim needs to be re-done all the inside trim needs to be re-done my outside shutters were all put Back up wrong what a mess I wish I could show you pictures, the man who installed them supposably had 20 years experience if that is true he should be fired! Very poor customer service. Have been attempting to get D & W to correct my moldy looking window issue for 2 years. Told it is my problem. They did come look at, cleaned then sealed the windows. Told moldy look would not come back. But it has. Windows are sealed, cannot be cleaned, and are an eyesore. Paid thousands for moldy looking window seals. Owner contacted me AFTER I posted a bad review to their Facebook website, said he would come out within the next two weeks. That did not happen. Evidently the owner does not have pride in his company and could care less about customer service. Taking my complaint to the Michigan Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. " I don't feel anything " He stated that as long as the windows appear clean, that they are efficient. AMAZING! Also, I wrote an article two months ago about D&W Windows in Davison, and mysteriously the article disappeared. They will guarantee the windows for 50 years. But, they have no idea how much their windows leak. If you get an energy audit with D&W windows, The windows will prove to be a stand out of air infiltration. Good luck! This is real world real words from an actual customer that spent a large amount of money on windows for their entire house. Save your money up and buy windows from a better company. You will loose much more money due to the inefficiency of the windows in the long run. Also the owner told me while he was in my house. " you should keep your thermostat at 85 degrees. Just saw their TV commercial claiming their "windows are built to last" and was inspired to tell the world their products didn't. Within The first 10 years we've had half the windows in our house resealed, along with needing to replace latches and window risers. We even had to find third party parts because D&W no longer carried or serviced our windows. Read their warrantee closely. Ours were not covered because our builder installed them. read more

We had a 4 seasons sunroom added on to the back of our house. The roof leaked from day 1! I called numerous times with the response of let me get your number and someone will call you back. They sent someone out and they added a foam tile to one edge of the roof. My roof kept leaking, I called numerous times and was told, someone will call you back, we have no record of you having a sunroom added on, and the last time I was told your sunroom is out of warranty. NEVER do ANY type of business with this company! They do not care about their customers at all, only how much they get to pocket for extremely poor workmanship. read more

The Owner Dave Wood (wheres the foam guy) only wants to give lip service and even admitted he has snow coming in his front door.
