I've been going to D&T Nails and Spa for years for my manicures and pedicures, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I came in the other day for an appointment with Sonny and showed him my inspo picture for a simple French manicure with a pink base and milky white tip. While he was applying the pink base, I was watching a YouTube video and not paying super close attention. Once he finished applying the base to all my nails, I looked down and realized there was rainbow glitter all throughout the pink base. I was honestly shocked because this was absolutely not what I asked for. I normally don't complain if a shade is slightly off, but this literally had glitter in it. The glitter clearly wasn't part of the powder itself -- it honestly seemed like there was leftover glitter on the brush from a previous client and it was accidentally mixed into my nails. My heart dropped because once acrylic powder is applied, there's really no easy fix. I asked, "Is there supposed to be glitter on them?" and explained that I've never seen a French manicure with a glittery base like that. I even asked if clients actually request that style because it genuinely did not look intentional. Sonny told me that other clients usually like it. At that point, I said I could not walk around with glitter nails and asked if he could redo them. He started soaking everything off, leaving my hands covered in acetone, glue residue, and partially removed acrylic. My nails ended up feeling rough, dry, and damaged from the removal process, and instead of properly cleaning and smoothing everything before restarting, he was about to apply a fresh set directly on top of the uneven mess. I finally told him I would just figure it out elsewhere because I was uncomfortable continuing. It was frustrating because I've been a loyal customer for years, and I left feeling upset, disappointed, and with damaged nails from something that should have been a very simple French manicure. I got a pedicure yesterday from a young man at DNT nails and spa. I have gone there before and been very happy this time not so much. The young man dug into my cuticles, and after I yelled from the pain, he looked somewhat concerned, but then just continued to dig into my cuticles. I realize that that's what needs to happen, but I think that there can be a little more Care involved. I have been to this nail salon before and been very happy this time not so much. The young man needed to get a little more customer service. It was disappointing $55 which is an average price for a pedicure. read more

Me and my mom came in, i got acrylic toenails and she got a pedicure. The shape came out crooked and the nail polish did not match the inspiration photo at all. Me and my mom both got hurt a lot and my cuticle bled when she used the nail drill. I had been going to the nail salon by Food 4 Less I had wanted these style of nail but they did them wrong so I waited it out and went back with these nail tips I ordered off eBay and it's a big long story of what happened but basically it was a lot of waiting around getting laughed at then told that they couldn't do it.. I was recommended to go to D&T nails by a friend because of how good they are with designs and nail shape. I went and showed the guy doing my nails a picture he did an amazing job with the design and shape as well the nails were not thick and he did it fast. My complaint is that I paid $80 for these nails and the nails started lifting and one fell off on the 6th day of having them. I've had acrylic sets many times before and i can usually get them to last at least long enough to get a fill around two weeks. I've now had them for 9 days and I'm missing 3 nails. Keep in mind I spent $80 for these nails that couldn't even last a week and i was not rough with them at all. I feel like I wasted my money to have nice nails for 5 days. read more

They also ran out of a color after polishing 4 of my toes and wanted to charge me to take off and do another color like if it was my fault. Worst $30 spent. Do not come here! I'm giving 2 stars because I'm ONLY coming back for Kathy. I felt like they gave me the new guy because they thought I looked much younger than I am and didn't think my opinion mattered much I guess... IDK. I Unfortunately (and fortunately) have really good genes but I'm 30 years old and I probably look like I'm 16 (what ppl say IDK). It's a struggle I deal with everyday with the disrespect!!‍. Anyways, I asked for gel dip. There was a language barrier and he didn't know what I meant but continued to do whatever the heck he thought was cool I guess.... Kathy had to come and explain what I wanted and I still didn't get it because this guy was too far in his nail process (dumby) and I don't have 2 hours to start over and screw around... I'm a single mom. ANYWAYS (lol) I get MATTE ALL THE TIME and my last pink nails were MATTE. They lasted a reasonable amount of time FOR SURE! these nails I'm about to post are THE DAY AFTER AT D N T . Sloppy and already fading ‍. Sorry guys get a better attitude . read more

So this review is long over due and is probably going to be long but so worth it, literally a year later but this salon came up and I decided to share my experience, this did happen in February of 2019. So I had been going to this salon for a couple years now way before they started all the renovating, months prior to February of 2019 i had stopped going because I found a new place that was able to do better designs and I was just more satisfied. So I hadn't gone in a while and hadn't realized that along with the renovating new nail techs came along as well. So of course I waited till last minute on Valentine's Day and the new place I was going to was busy, so I decided to go back to the place given the fact that my old nail tech, Vincent, who no longer works there, would do a decent job. So I go in and ask for him because I don't see him around and everyone is just looking at me not saying anything, ignore me and they just continue to going back to doing nails, so I sit and wait and surely they took me in pretty fast, once again I asked for Vincent and they told me that no one by the name of Vincent has ever worked there, even though he was my nail tech for years??? But okay so I show them what I wanted and asked if they could do the design they say yes, they get started and my friend is sitting next to me so I lose track of what the guy is doing until i begin to feel a burning sensation as he's filing my nails and i pull my hand back because it's hurting me and so he says sorry and keeps on working. So I had asked for a nude acrylic and even picked out the one I wanted and again I get too deep in conversation with my friend sitting next to me that by the time I look at my nails he's already applied the pink acrylic powder and I've never been one who likes to speak up when I'm not satisfied with my service, i just get to embarrassed, but It's about a 30 minute drive from my house to this salon and it's Valentine's Day so I wanted my nails to look good so I spoke up and told him that wasn't the color I picked out, and he just ignored me and acted like he didn't hear a thing and kept doing his job. Finally when it came to designing the flowers that I requested, he told me he couldn't do them AFTER he said yes when I first asked, if he couldn't have done them in the first place he should've let me know and I would've picked a different design. Not only could he not do the flowers, two of the nails in the original design had gold flakes, and what he put on my nails was not it. So at this point, he picked out the color for me, lied about being able to do a design, and now has put some ugly "gold flakes" on my nails. And to top it all off, after he applied the top coat the "gold flakes" he added were so bumpy and literally lifting from off my nail and he said they just needed to dry more, after I had already placed my hand under the light?? At this point I was just so annoyed my nails were hurting me so bad and I just wanted to get out of there and leave, so when it comes time to pay I used this gift certificate I had gotten from the last time I was there due to the fact that they over charged me and said I couldn't get my money refunded so that they would put it in a gift certificate, this time again they over charge me and they say the same thing I can't be refunded the extra $40 that they charged me and were trying to give me a gift certificate again, but I refused to accept it since i was already so mad at the service and i knew I wasn't going back because I already had a new nail tech who just happened to be booked that day. So after arguing back and forth, they give me my $40 cash, and by the end of the night all the rhinestones that they placed had fallen off along with the "gold flakes" they put on my nails. Days later and my nails were still hurting really bad any little touch or bump my finger nails would be pulsing so I took off the set that was already lifting after not even a week and a half, and went to my new nail tech and they recommended I don't get acrylics for about 3-4 months because my nails had been overly filed and I needed to let my nails regain their strength, I had to then apply this nail vitamin liquid on my nails two times a day until my nails regained their strength again. A year later and I still get upset when I think about this. read more

I've been here a few times because friends have recommended it. I usually have Henry do my nails, he is very kind and attentive and does a great job. Today I had Jimmi and my experience was TERRIBLE he is extremely rude and dismissive. When I sat, all he asked was "what color" me having French nails and having shown him a design at first that he said he could not do, assumed he knew I wanted to keep my French tips. Guess not because before he started painting my nails had told him that I wanted French tips, he literally gave me a death stare and rolled his eyes saying " why wouldn't you tell me that before" ?? Okay, maybe it was my fault I didn't specifically say it in the beginning but it was really unnecessary to give me attitude when I'm still paying for the nails regardless. After that, he rushed through painting my nails and did a horrible job. I could have painted them better. He didn't bother to clean up the sides or excess polish on my hands, and the sides are splotchy and missing paint in some areas. If I ever come back it will NOT be with Jimmi !
