Good value even though Westport is rather touristy. I can't answer for any of their other seafood as crab (cooked) is all I purchased. When I was doing research on what to do and where to eat here, this is one of the top food spots in Westport that came up on Yelp. You order food to dine-in from the window on the window outside then find a seat/table upstairs. They sell canned fish, frozen seafood, and other products on the first floor. I wish I could have ordered some frozen seafood but I just got 3 cans of tuna and salmon! We ordered crab melt, clam chowder, and fish and chips. Everything was yummy, but the clam shower was my favorite. I like clam chowder but I don't love it, but I really loved the clam chowder here. It has a very casual vibe so it's cool for a relaxing outing. I'd really love to come back soon for the chowder!

Their saltwater flake ice is the best I've used. And its stupid cheap. They only sell it by the full tote for $60, I don't need more than half that per trip but would easily spend twice that amount at a grocery store or gas station buying the same amount of crappy ice that I can watch melt. And the IQF sardines are $55 for a #40 pound box, very reasonable. And I prefer to chum with dead bait over live because it lays down a perfect trail and won't swim away... They only take cash or checks. Try to have exact change when picking up ice/ bait in the mornings before a trip. They are open until 5pm and it's always easier to load up the afternoon before a trip if possible. And they ice doesn't melt anyways.

We picked up a pound of cranberries, but I am still unsure how we will use them. Maybe my wife can think of something. In addition to cranberries, we picked got a couple of bowls of clam chowder and a tub of mesquite tuna dip for crackers. Only after I started eating the clam chowder did I realize that I had unknowingly bypassed all the delicious, healthy seafood options (so many types of smoked fish!) for the heavy cream chowder and the mayonnaise dense tuna dip. My mistake. If I return to the area I will probably go with smoked fish and potentially more cranberries. I did appreciate seeing their operations behind the storefront. Not only did we see boxes and nets but also four herons snapping up seafood remnants.

It was on the way to our condo and we had some time to kill before meeting a friend. We decided to grab a quick lunch. The greeting by the owner was super friendly and the whole vibe of the food truck was adorable...little deck outside, "regulars" sitting chill with dogs, food smells coming out of the truck. Well, it was off to a great start. THe worst part is trying to decide what to order. "One of Each" is kinda how I was feeling after seeing the menu, but hubby and I decided to share a smash burger. Which is funny because he's really NOT a smash burger fan. Beach Grub seems to have changed his mind because he couldn't stop talking about how tasty it was! Burger was flavorful, with the perfect little crisp edges and the fries were top-notch! Prices are totally reasonable, and overall it's a complete gem of a place. Sadly, I came back to Westport about 10 days later, apparently on a day they weren't open. I was so ready to have another go at the menu! Bottom line: if you are in Westport, make at least ONE stop here for a meal. You'll regret it if you don't.
