I did a razor clam dig and it was one of the worst digs I have done, stopped by here and bought 2 lbs of Quinalt Razor Clams, 2 cans of chopped Razor Clams and 2 fresh Dungeness Crab (making head butter with rice) to go with the fresh sourdough bread I bought. I stumbled across these in a jar in an asian store in lynnwood, H Mart, they are by far the best oysters in a jar I have ever had. Super fresh and firm, I have bought many others in a jar from the same area oyster places along that coast and harbors and these are the best. Just cold and fresh, not slimy or soft and mushy. This is the only place my husband and I stop to get oysters when in town. We have never gotten any rotten oysters. Always fresh and perfect. They are always the size we ask for. We have never experienced bad service. Not super amazing service either. Just enough to get in and out fast with what we are wanting. Ambience is what you would expect. A little run down but it's been around a long time. We will continue to come here for as long as they are open and serving! Highly recommend! read more

On Sunday May 4th my husband came in to buy a couple dozen small oysters. First off the bat, the lady working was suoer rude. Usually there is a really nice lady. This one was just awful. Then He was told all that was left was medium, hard to believe they were sold out of them at noon, but he agreed on getting 2 dozen medium. We got home and they're not medium...they're XXL! They were completely inedible. We had 3 generations of family over for a BBQ and were unable to leave to return them. We spend several hundred dollars here a year. This is unacceptable. Great place to get Pacific oysters for beach going folks. I buy them by the bag and throw them on the bbq. Can't miss!

These are the only (really) fresh oysters that I am willing to eat a couple raw. Unlike local sound oysters, these are grown in open ocean waters which makes a huge difference in quality and safety from a bottom filter feeder. There is no pearl to find, the oyster is the treasure. read more

The food is always delicious and fresh, 10/10! The customer service could use some work. One of the elder ladies behind the counter was very rude and not inviting. She kept making rude remarks. we bought 5 dozens bag of oysters, came home to split each dozen to families and we were short a dozen each. I called and they said "sorry about that" and that was it. I am updating my review of this location I hadn't been there since my previous review in 2020. I was going to take a chance to see if maybe the service Had improved. Much to my dismay it seemed even worse. The little old lady who seems to be the face of this organization at least to the public is very rude and just grumpy as can be. I was hopeful when I saw her being polite and respectful to the young man who received oysters just ahead of me. I asked if there were oysters and I was told that they were only small ones. I said that would be okay and that I would love to take a look and see what she considered small. She opened the bin and I had to make a complete circle around the other side to take a look in which seemed to piss her off. I said these looked fine to me and go ahead and bag up 2 dozen. I reached in and poked an oyster and was reprimanded for touching them. I suppose this is for my own safety, However I'm going to have to touch them when I get them home. She did not make a move to start to bag up the oysters, I have no idea what I was doing to make her upset. But I was just tired of it so I walked off. I really don't appreciate being abused by the staff at this location. I was ready to drop a Benjamin on oysters crab and clams. I don't recommend this location it seems this woman has a really hard time with customer service. Like i'd mentioned in my previous review businesses like this need people like me. This is a no bullshit business that serves high quality products at a great price. Got 16oz of the small oysters. They were extremely plump, firm, fresh and flavorful. Better than ones I've had at a restaurant for 3x the price. I live about 2 hours away but that won't stop me from getting my oyster when i get the craving. read more

Gotta give them 1 star, because they sold me a dozen oysters (gave me 14 actually!) and only 2 were edible. Most were spawning or even dry. One shell was even cracked with a huge hole in it. Skip them for oysters. read more

We always stop here on our way to (or from) Ocean Shores to get some fresh seafood. They have a great selection of oysters, crab, shrimp, crab cakes, salmon, etc. They usually have all the fixings too (sauce, lemon) and tools (crackers, forks, etc) if you're out of town. The staff is always warm and welcoming. Can get a line in the summer. Even in the winter we take our food and enjoy a quick bite on their back patio to enjoy the lovely view. read more

I was staying in Ocean Shores for a couple of days, and was determined to get some fresh cooked crabs yesterday. So many places were either out of them, or they were closed for the day. After doing a Google search and looking just a little further outside OS, and not having time to drive all the way to Westport, I found Lytle's and called them. Whenever I've driven by their place over the years, I pretty much only noticed the mounds and mounds of oyster shells, and thought they were just an oyster operation. It was almost 4:30, and they were closing at 5. But they had crabs! The folks in the store are all super friendly. The shop offers all kinds of cooking/grilling spices and specialty sauces and marinades. I was blown away at how fresh, sweet and delicious the crabs were. Some of the best I've ever had. I will always go here to buy my seafood any time I'm in Ocean Shores. You can tell this is a family business that takes pride in the products they offer, and how they interact with customers. read more

We bought a few things but the highlight was the Dungeness crabs. The lady told us they were cooked only two hours before we bought them. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! The woman that helped us when we first arrived was amazing. She was knowledgeable and friendly, she took the time to explain to me what a razor clam was. They sound delicious but we didnt buy any. Our bounty was plentiful, jumbo prawns, manila clams, frozen sea bass and frozen crab cales for only $29. The other woman that told us about camping in the rain forest was a doll. Thank you ladies for all of the local knowledge! I hope to return to this place again! read more

On our way to Ruby Beach, we got the sudden urge for oysters! My daughter and bf hastily scrounged around Yelp and found this place. Lucky for us. We got there, the lady was so friendly and fun, educated us on the menu. We finally decided on a pint thats already out of the shells. She gave us the sliced lemons, we got the cocktail sauce and found a little bottle of horse radish as well. Found us a small table outside near the water and ate away. Chowder was great and warmed us on a chilly day. Added to the experience of our travel to Ruby Beach. Great sunset and went home with great shots of the beach. read more

If I could rate this stand any lower I would. The staff had a very poor attitude and wouldn't show examples of what they considered to be a small oyster in a shell... They just want to sell pails full of oysters preshucked and who knows how old... I was sorely disappointed in the dozen I purchased in shell and several were dead. The living ones didn't taste quite right and I have now ended up with a stomach virus. I would warn buyers to stay away and beware of purchasing seasons... I just moved here from the Midwest and learnt a lesson to never buy shellfish during the warm months. Over all I would say it's overpriced, the oysters were flavorless, and staff was God aweful not to mention getting a nice gut rot from their product. Stay away!!! read more

Up till now had great service, crab & clams until I called on Saturday at apprx 1:45 to reserve 2.5 pounds of clams for pick up on Sunday for our anniversary. I had been warned to call ahead because they do run out...any whoo...picked up the 2.5 pounds of clams ($26 worth Mike not $16) on Sunday at 10:30 am. They were in a plastic bag with a label on the bag stating: my name, 2.5 lbs clams & $26 to be collected. Got them home, removed them from the bag into a shallow ceramic dish & placed them in the frig & then at 3:30 (as I have always done with clams and/or mussels) began rinsing via cold running water, a colander & bowl to remove sand. Noticed a whiff of something but did not dawn on me, till they were cooked, they had died or were dying from being stored in a plastic bag from Saturday afternoon till Sunday morning! The smell was so putrid it was beyond belief. I have still have the bag Mike if you need evidence they had been stored at your facility from Saturday afternoon till Sunday morning in a plastic bag!!! And no I do not want a refund as I had clearly stated in the beginning of my call...I called to make sure you & your staff were aware of the situation so it wouldn't happen again to someone else who may not know & get sick...but instead Mike you chose to go off on a tangent regarding a party on Saturday, claim you'd never store clams in a plastic bags & basically accuse me of lying & down right yelling at me...sorry to say wrong person to treat this way Mike. And regretfully the dirty name I called you for accusing me & yelling at me still stands! In addition to the clams, 2 crab were bought for crab cocktails (because the cracked crab in the plastic containers in your frig sadly comes from a can) were puny and the legs were hollow...didn't even get a 1/2 lb of meat out of the 2 crabs. So at this juncture we will never ever buy from Lytles again & I will be a negative walking billboard not because there was a mistake made and/or product was subpar...but because of you Mike & your awful horrible attitude! read more
